Description

On the first floor, with stunning views of Beverley Minster and opposite the oldest pub in the East Riding of Yorkshire, the apartment has one double bedroom, beautifully furnished, and a small double sofa bed in the living room, which also has comfortable seating for four adults, LCD flatscreen smart TV, DVD player, CD/radio and iPod dock. The dining area has a table and chairs for four adults. The kitchen is fully equipped with crockery/cutlery/utensils etc., plus kettle, toaster, oven, hob, microwave, coffee machine, fridge-freezer and washing machine. The bathroom includes a full sized bath with shower over. Also in the apartment is a selection of games, books and CDs as well as plenty of tourist information and original artwork throughout. There is wifi internet for our guests, and a travel cot is available for those with young children.

Situated under 400 metres from the train station, a car is not necessary but should you prefer to bring one, a private parking space is available directly behind the apartment suitable for small to medium sized cars, and there are 4 communal bays for larger vehicles on a first come first served basis.

Getting around

Situated in the heart of Beverley, guests do not need a car as we are minutes walk away from both the train station and the bus station, with regular links to Hull, York and Scarborough. The cobbled streets of the Minster area are on the doorstep, yet it is just a two minute walk to the more modern Flemingate development with its cinema, array of shops and eateries. However, if you prefer to arrive in car, there is onsite parking for you to use.

“Centrally located warm, clean and cosy apartment with a car parking space”

Ideally placed in walking distance of everything in Beverley, this warm clean and comfortable apartment met all our needs. With the added bonus of a dedicated car parking space - although your car does need to be small. We hope to return and would not hesitate to recommend

“Cosy apartment in convenient location”

Conveniently located just a few minutes’ walk from the town centre, railway station, and retail park, Minster View Apartment has most of the ingredients for the perfect city break. It is quite spacious, warm and well equipped, and feels very secure. The only problem we had during our stay was with the lounge furniture, which we felt should have been ‘retired’ some time ago. We found it uncomfortable to a point where a night watching telly became something of an endurance test! That said, the inconvenience was relatively minor in the scale of things, and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Beverley and would happily return.

I am sorry to hear, though, that you were not as comfortable as we would have liked. We have not received any negative feedback about the lounge furniture before so were not aware of any problems. It is particularly disappointing as the sofa bed is only a couple of years old, but in view of your feedback I have replaced the Ikea armchairs with two new, very comfy armchairs. “Beautiful Beverley”

The flat is in an excellent location with stunning views of the Minster. The early morning sun makes the stone turn a warm golden colour and this can be enjoyed as soon as you pull the curtains. Beverley is an interesting market town with a wide range of shops, good local market and some excellent pubs. The railway station is a bonus with Hull only 20 minutes away in one direction and the seaside at Bridlington also nearby. We had a great week and would recommend this flat.
