On a hill with a view on the Tuscany landscape, the sea, the Isle of Elba and Corsica you find Podere Novo. No stressy rumors but only the song of the birds.Just 10 minutes by car to go to nice beaches and the shops. In the direct surroundings you find a lot of little historic places like Borgheri where the poet Carducci wrote his best pieces and the parc of Baratti and Populonia famous for his archeologic parc with remainings of the Etrusci. A place where the children can play in the trees, build there wooden houses and can do what children in the cities no longer find, while the parents are lying in their hangingmats. Podere Novo is a wonderful spot to spend a holiday in Tuscany. The views are stunning and the apartments are very comfortable. The owner Giorgio is very helpful and kind. The location of Podere Novo I found just ideal. It is situated in the country side and also close to the sea. A stay at Podere Novo is excellent value for money!

We loved our week in Podere Novo. The apartment was comfortable and spacious and Georgio couldn't do enough to make our stay fantastic. The views and the local food and wine were exceptional, it is an incredibly lovely part of the world and this is one of the most beautiful and as yet less touristed parts of it.

Die Lage des Hauses sehr ruhig und mit herrlicher aussicht, die apartments geräumig, sauber und mit Heizung, der Empfang sehr herzlich.

Traumhaft - mehr fällt einem nicht ein, wenn man den zypressengesäumten Schotterweg hinauffährt, um die Ecke biegt und das Haus zum ersten mal sieht. Ruhig gelegen, inmitten von Olivenhainen, mit Blick aufs Meer und eine zauberhafte Gegend in Toskana-Bilderbuch-Manier. Man wird herzlich begrüßt und mit allerlei Insidertipps versorgt. Wenn einem dann von Gorgio die Vorher-Fotos vom Haus zeigt werden, glaubt man kaum, dass aus einer Schutthalde solch ein Traumhaus entstehen kann.
Riesige Wohnung (aber sehr hellhörig, was man bei einem Steinhaus nicht vermutet), nett eingerichtet, Küche relativ gut ausgestattet. Einzigste wirkliche Abstriche gibt´s beim Bad, das eine Renovierung dringend vertragen könnte: billige blaue Plastikablagen und abstoßende, verschimmelte Fugen rund um die Badewanne inkl. Duschvorhang. Und das Thema Warmwasserverorgung ließ etwas zu wünschen übrig - man sollte sich entscheiden, ob man zu typischen Stoßzeiten duschen will oder vielleicht nach dem Frühstück doch lieber den Abwasch machen will ...
Wir haben es abends sehr genossen, bei einer lokalen Flasche Wein den Sonnenuntergang zu betrachten und den Mond wandern zu sehen, während uns Katze, Hund Gizmo und manchmal ein paar Wildschweine einen Besuch abstatteten. Weintechnisch extrem empfehlenswert ist "Insoglio del Cinghiale" direkt vom Campo di Sasso, Bibbona, welcher z.B. in Bolgheri käuflich zu erwerben ist.

beautifull site in Toscana's country. The apartament was large and with all confort (TV sat, AC,parking, garden). The place is very very quite, but not far to the sea (more or less 20 minutes to go to Marina di Bibbona).

Wahnsinnslage, das Podere Novo. Und Giorgio, der Besitzer, einfach superreizend. Ein typischer Norditaliener mit französischem Einschlag, also echt super. Weiß tolle Tipps zum Essen gehen etc. Das Podere ist Toskana wie aus dem Bilderbuch, endlose Weiten ohne Zaun, alles ein Traum. Aber wer auf Comfort steht ist hier evt. enttäuscht. Keine Spülmaschine, keine Air Condition in manchen Wohnungen. Dafür schöne Steinböden, alles geschmackvoll eingerichtet mit Holz und Glas, wenig Plastik, ne Katze und Hängematten und ne Schaukel sind naturnah mit den Bäumen verbunden. Nirgends Autos, Touristenströme, Rumgekreische, Disco, etc. Ruhig und ländlich, dabei aber in 15 Minuten mit dem Auto am Strand (oder wunderschöner Naturstrand ca. 30 Autominuten südlich von San Vincenzo, frei zugänglich, keine Bagnis, ein Traum) und jede Menge nette Dörfchen, Burgen, etc. in der näheren Umgebung. Wandern grenzenlos möglich und es reicht locker für Tagesausflüge für zwei Wochen Urlaub. Lucca und Volterra 1 h, Pisa auch, südlich wirds ganz ruhig und schnuckelig, oder lieber Etruskergräber? Alles um die Ecke. Aber ein Auto wär gut und die Vorliebe, sich selber zu versorgen. Restaurants toll in Bolgheri hintenrum in weniger als 10 Minuten erreichbar, Giorgio zeigt Euch den Schleichweg. Wir waren sehr glücklich dort mit unseren zwei kleinen Kindern, die endlich mal rennen konnten ohne Zaun, ohne Angst vor der nächsten STraße, der Sonnenuntergang ist umwerfend.

My stay at podere Novo was the best for years. A magnific view over the tuscan landscape, the isle of Elba and the sea. The owner was always ready to help out with ideas for places to visit and restaurant to have a good dinner or a Pizza. We relaxed a lot in the shadow of the trees in the hangingmats. We bought good wine and oil for the right price because Giorgio brought us to the right place...txs Giorgio

We spent one week in a very confortable appartment. The place was very nice and quiet. Gorgio is a very nice man !
It was easy to visit Volterra... and go to the sea. -
