If you are looking for a peaceful cabin in Michigan's Upper Peninsula, this is the place for you. While it is not on the lakefront is is only a few hundred feet back into the woods. You do have full access to Lake Independence by walking down the driveway from the cabin to the waterfront. The cabin is fully stocked with everything you need for your stay (all linens, towels, kitchen supplies). There is sleeping area for up to 8 people. There is a dock at the lake for your boat, the lake is good for fishing, swimming and just boating. The cabin on Lake Independence is rustic, but very livable and provides everything that is needed for any length of stay. The kitchen is fully equipped and there is even a gas grill outside. The sleeping area upstairs has enough beds to easily accommodate our family of 6. The cabin is on a quiet road and close to many scenic areas in the U.P. Lake Independence is great for young children to swim in because it's shallow, and Lake Superior is within easy biking distance for the more adventurous.
