Newly remodeled three bedroom, two bath, two fireplaces, cable TVs, DVD players, Nintendo, stereo, washer/dryer, and full kitchen with stove/oven, refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, blender, toaster, coffee maker, dishes, pots/pans, and more. Deck and barbecue.

Bedroom one has a queen bed.

Bedroom two has a queen bed.

Bedroom three has a queen bed and a double/twin bunk bed.

Living room has a single person sofa sleeper.

Maximum occupancy 10. Parking for 3 vehicles.

      More than expected

      We were at almost Heaven the first weekend of February and I must say that our stay there was excellent. We were two families going to enjoy the snow and since we opened the door our kids said wow!! this cabin is cool. We had everything needed inside the cabin to cook, it was clean and in perfect conditions. The only thing that I think would be an extra star for this cabin is the wifi availability.

      The cabin is beautiful and spacious. The cabin gets 5 stars. I deducted a star because I feel that either the city of Big Bear/Big Bear Lake or Big Bear Cool Cabins should provide some sort of snow plow service to get to the cabins that require a drive up pretty steep hills (e.g. Moonridge area), or a cab service that will take you there when the weather conditions are pretty bad. Not everyone has a 4 wheel drive with snow tires, and chains don't always work that well. Other than that I have no complaints. The lady I spoke to on the phone was very helpful (I believe her name was Lucero) with instructions on how to use the combination lock to get into the cabin.

      It's very comfortable cabin. Very good placed. Very nice view and services are ok but no wifi or Ethernet but I will go againt next year

      I think you can take new photos from cabin that make justice to the reality. Because I was thinking that was smaller before know it and went I arrive I was wonder was happend it's really big and nicer then photos

      We all enjoyed our stay at almost Heaven, the cabin was clean and everything was in order and working. The deck view is excellent and overall design of the cabin makes you feel at home. We just wished for Wi-Fi access, but apart from that it was a pleasing experience.

      We would rent almost Heaven again

      The cabin we rented from Bib Bear Cool Cabins was identified as almost Heaven, and after four nights, our family was already thinking of when we might rent it again. We were looking for a roomy, comfortable cabin for a quick summer vacation, and almost Heaven fit the bill perfectly. There was a big room upstairs with two comfortable couches and two lazyboys that made for a great place for the family to gather in the mornings and at night. The deck looks out over treetops with no cabin behind us, so cups of coffee in the morning were perfect on the back deck. We weren't missing a thing. Because there were no cabins behind us, we found it to be a quiet, peaceful place.

      Before I get here, I was expecting cabin was clean and comfortable to stay with my family and friends. As I expected, this cabin was very clean, roomy and cozy.
      Also, there were sufficient kitchen stuff prepared, so it was very useful to cook.
      I had a great vacation and made unforgettable memories here.

      Cozy!

      Overall enjoyed the stay! Plenty of room for 3 adults and 6 kids. Rooms were clean and cozy. Seemed pricey for the two nights stay, though.

      Trash was all over downstairs porch upon arrival (probably thanks to small animals).

      Would have liked to have more complete cooking/baking materials/utensils. Had to scramble to find ways to cook.

      Needed to overcome some audio/visual challenges with VCR/DVD/TV/game connections. Was able to mix and match cables to get them to work. Remotes did not work.

      Dining room chairs are (literally) on their last legs...

      Enjoyable family vacation in 2012!

      The check in was very easy, it took less than 5 minutes. Once arrived at the cabin, we fell in love with the cabin. All rooms were clean and tidy. Kids enjoyed playing at the downstair and wives enjoyed cooking at the big kitchen. As for men, we enjoyed drinking and chatting at patio with terrific view of mountain covered with snow. Overall, we would go back again soon!

      Pleasant and comfortable stay

      Went to Big Bear with friends for skiing and New Years Eve. This cabin was a great place to relax and get comfy. Plenty of room. Quiet neighborhood. Easy drive down to slopes. Kitchen perfect for large group to cook meals.

      Noticed a few minor maintenance issues (below), but other than that, the place was great for our stay!
      *upstairs fireplace left door glass broken from previous tenants. Pulled door from downstairs fireplace so smoke would not get into upstairs room when we had the fire going.
      *upstairs patio door blinds would not slide closed properly.
      *downstairs den pull-out couch would not pull out.
      *missing TV/VCR remotes
      *dining room table chairs wobbly and not very sturdy.

      This place had everything needed to relax and have a good time. The view was nice and although there were neighbors we didn't even know they were there. If you do show up at night you may have some trouble finding it so get there before dark. The location is fine, it is close to everything so no matter what you go up there for this place will work for you. The only complaint I have is that the pull out bed in the living room downstairs is not comfortable. You are better off on the floor but other than that this place is great.

      needed maintenance

      The cabin was beautiful with a great setting and ample room.
      The owner has it for sale and hasn't kept up with maintenance. The back screen door frame was bent and had a hole in it so we were killing moths the whole visit. I got it fixed the next day. I telephoned the first day with these problems and the lady said someone would be out the next morning to fix it. When no one showed I called back and she hadn't written a work order, poor business sense. Front bedroom window missing screen. Listing shows telephone but the owner had it disconnected. It was a cabin for up to 10 people yet it only had three glasses. All of the cooking knives were worthless as well as the spatulas (egg flippers).

      Nice Getaway

      Perfect cabin for a quick weekend getaway. The cabin was nice and cozy yet spacious enough for a group stay. BigBearCoolCabins are amazing with regards to customer service. Very much enjoyed that anything we needed was a quick few minute drive down the mountain, such as mingling with locals around 'The Village' and there were plenty of food/shop locations to stop by and more. If I had the time I would've stayed longer.

      The cabin has everything you need. You dont need to bring anything for the kitchen. The BBQ is Charcoal not gas. One bed is a rock. Great place for family with teenagers. Teens were downstairs and adults upstairs. Nice deck to enjoy peace and quiet and stars. Nice and clean and spacious. parking is terrible hate to do it in the winter.

      We were very satisfied, in fact delighted, with our cabin. We always rent a cabin for the Thanksgiving holiday and bring as many family members as can get away. Almost Heaven was clean, well appointed, and exactly as advertised. We had everything we needed for a most enjoyable stay. We loved the layout of the cabin and the decorating was really cute. We had rented from Big Bear Cool Cabins twice before and have already booked a cabin for 2010. Unfortunately almost Heaven isn't big enough for the group this year. Cool Cabins has always been professional and the cabins have all met and exceeded our expectations. I would recommend them without a thought. Almost Heaven was especially nice, we really enjoyed it.
