We had a great time staying at the Grey Squirrel Cottage - it is a wonderful log cabin which has been decorated in a ski lodge motif. It will comfortably sleep 8 and has a jacuzzi which we utilized daily. Having a full kitchen, dishwasher and washer/dryer was also handy. It is located in a nicer neighborhood but is rather close to surrounding neighbors (the pictures on the website make it appear to be located in a more remote wooded location. Overall, we had a great stay and would recommend.

We and two other families spent the 4th of July weekend here. Although there were a few cobwebs in the windows, the cabin was otherwise immaculate. The kitchen also had the usual necessities, although the pots and pans were very low end (nothing non-stick, etc.). Also, you may want to bring extra toilet paper and paper toilets and dishwasher cleansers; the cabin came with the bare minimum number. Overall, however, we thought the cabin fit our needs well and would go back.

We had a wonderful time getting away and enjoying the moutain life. We stayed a Friday night and Saturday night. Got late check out on Sunday and it was perfect. We did however have one problem with the hot tub. It wouldn't heat up the first night. (Should take about 6 hrs) so by mid Saturday without any progress we called the maintanance man and he was there in a jiff. Fixed it. And we were hot within 4 hrs. Happy with that. The beds were a but hard, def not like some of the hotels I've stayed at. The washer was nice to clean our snow boarding gear after day 1 and get it fresh for day 2. We wil b back again.

Loved this one- been to big bear many times and this is one of the nicest places I've stayed at. The rooms are big, yet cozy. The only thing that we needed was a blender! The description stated one was in the house- it wasn't. Oh, and the Hot Tub water was definitely not clean. Other than that, I loved this place. This fireplace was a big plus.
The staff at Bbcc was great when we checked it and checked out.
This place is pretty far from any of the snow play areas but we really didn't need to leave- there was a small slope at the side of the house where the kids were able to use their disks to play. It really was an alsmost perfect experiance.

The Grey Squirrel was a very clean and tastefully decorated cabin in a quieter part of town. The spa was very relaxing and refreshing in the cool night air with the wonderful pine tree aroma. The cabin was well equipped in all rooms, from the fully-stocked kitchen with pots and pans and dishes, etc. to the living room with games and TV/DVD and the comfortable and homey rooms and bathrooms. I would definitely recommend this cabin and stay there again.

Beautiful cabin with nice rooms. Wonderful fireplace with easy start. Kitchen lacks some necessary pots and pans and pillows are wimpy but house was nice and layout nice. Good neighborhood. We would definitely rent again.

The place was exactly what we expected. Nothing luxurious, but clean and well maintained. Our only complaint was that there was enough hot water for only about 1 shower.
Also, this is not a complaint, just something to know- the house is located well off the beaten path. It took us 3 days just to figure out how to get in and out of the place without the directions. It was a good 12-15 minutes from the ski resorts.

We went up for just a few days to enjoy some winter fun. Cool Cabins made our stay so easy. We checked in to a friendly office and were on our way in a matter of minutes. The cabin itself was beautiful and clean. Even the weather cooperated. We (a family of 4) had a phenomenal trip and we will definitely use Cool Cabins again.

Had a great time with my friends here on New Years! Fun log cabin, decent kitchen, decent location, cool wood burning fireplace. Positives were the hot tub and the fireplace. Cons were the fact that the cabin was 40 degrees inside when we arrived (it was 12 degrees outside), the driveway was not plowed and we had to borrow a shovel from the neighbor and clear it ourselves in the freezing cold, the steps iced over and we all took a fall or 2 at some point, but we still had a great time! Small cabin, but ok when you have great company.
