      Making the most of it!!!

Left on 03/14/2013 for a stay in February 2013

The cabin wasnt all that I actually expected! As soon as we got there, one of the sliding doors was open so it wasnt securely locked! It had broken blinds, holes on the walls and doors and broken closet doors! The cabin in general how u see it featured isnt really what u will see once you arrive!!! However, I must say it was still fun because i got to share some quality time and make wonderful memories w my loving friends and family! We made the most of what we had!

      Bang for your buck

Left on 11/01/2012 for a stay in October 2012

This will be our second time staying in this cabin. It's not the most luxurious or clean, but come on, your renting a cabin in the woods not going to a 5 star hotel. It's what I would expect from a rental cabin, and it's comfortable.

Location is also nice if you plan to stay in the cabin and enjoy your guests company, on a very quiet culdesac. It is a bit of a trek to get to town from, but close to skiing.

Jucuzzi works great, which is very important to us!

      Improvements the owners should consider:

new Coffee Pot - I'm assuming it's broken because the thing took almost 20 minutes to brew one pot! Not very efficient for a cabing that sleeps 10. A new coffee pot can be purchased for $20.

Curtain in the bathroom - come on!!! If there is anyone on the deck of the next door cabin they can literally see you taking care of business...you can make eye contact. Future renters, plan your own coverage just incase, it's very uncomfortable. I've seen this complaint on other reveiws and I don't understand how it's not fixed, it's not a large window that requires custom drapery or blinds. Unacceptable.

Kitchen utensils could use some additions - pots & pans are lacking and there are almost no cooking spoons, spatulas and such, again, especially if you are cooking for the amount of people that the cabin sleeps.

Overall I would stay at this cabin again, just wish some of the smaller/easy things to take care of were.

      Decent abode

Left on 08/30/2012 for a stay in August 2012

The house seemed a bit rundown. Best part was the hot tub. Disappointed that it lists wifi & there is none. Out in the middle of nowhere & an internet connection is a must!! Found some old dirty towels in the storage space below the windows. Housekeeping could do a little better job of checking things.

      Nice Stay

Left on 07/12/2012 for a stay in June 2012

Place was clean and spacious... great for huge families and friends. Wasn't too far from the lake and is very close to markets. Only complain is the Hot Tub... The water was a gray color so i dont know if the filter was broken or the water needs to be drained and refilled. Other than that we enjoyed our stay

      A little disappointing!

Left on 03/07/2012 for a stay in March 2012

I am not one to complain but in this case I need to. Our stay at Quiet Paradise was less than enjoyable. Not only was the cabin not stocked to accomodate the occupancy of 12 people but other issues made that seem minor. No curtain or blind to pull in the bathroom window near the kitchen made it uncomfortable to shower or use the bathroom. The major problem was the rodent problem. Mouse traps all over including under the bed at the headboard in the master bedroom was unacceptable. We found 2 dead mice in traps in a room down stairs. The cabin should not be rented until the rodent problem is resolved! We make a family trip to Big Bear every year and definitely will not be staying at Quiet Paradise again!

      Quiet Paradise needs some TLC!

Left on 02/29/2012 for a stay in February 2012

This cabin has so much potential!! Floorplan is awesome for several families, and the cul de sac location was safe and great for sledding! With that said this place is in need of a seriously good cleaning and some maintenance! Both bathrooms had shower heads literally coming out of the wall, and the shower curtains were filthy! The beds were horrible, and concaved in the middle! The dishes in the kitchen were lacking and put away dirty; cooking for more than 5 is a challenge with what was supplied. Please give this place the attention it needs. We had a great stay in Big Bear, but I won't go back to Quiet Paradise.

Left on 02/15/2012 for a stay in February 2012

This place was sick. It was huge. We felt like we should have invited three times the ammount of people to fill it up. Loved it, the pinball machine doesnt work and there is ping pong nets and paddles but no table, and check out is a little to early @ 10am, but all in all, I will be back, and in the exact same cabin.

Not the ideal stay for a nice getaway

Left on 01/26/2012 for a stay in January 2012

The cabin's state was not ideal. The tub in the 3rd floor bathroom had pubic hairs strayed on the floor. The kitchen had several issues, including a very old refrigerator took way too long to cool drinks and food, the glass on the wall dividing the dining room and the living room was broken, and the pantry and cabinets were dirty with a funky smell. In addition, the jacuzzi was dirty; it had dirty layer of slimy film that went around the jacuzzi wall, and the water was slimy. One of the comforters in a bedroom was filthy, it even had old pizza sauce on it, or at least, that's what we assumed it to be. Not a great experience! Wouldn't stay here again!

      Not bad

Left on 01/19/2012 for a stay in January 2012

I enjoyed staying here with a group of 12. All the essential needs were met (clean interior, enough beds, well heated).

A couple things I would like to note is that the pinball and pachinko machine were broken and unusable, they might as well be thrown out. Also, as another reviewer has mentioned, the grill was very dirty and the owner should take a look and give it a hard cleaning.

      Could have been better

Left on 09/06/2011 for a stay in August 2011

Our expectancy was higher than what we encountered. The Bar B Que was filthy so we couldnt cook our burgers outside. We had 9 people in our party and there werent enough towels for all of us. The master bed was held with wooden poles extending from the floor to the bedboards. Scary to even turn over while sleeping. For $700+ we expected more.

The good stuff ~ We saw so many stars and it was so peaceful. The hot water was there in an instant. The hot tub was enjoyed by all.

We didn't have to check in, we did it on line which was wonderful. We just went straight to the house. My family loved the house, the location was great. The jacuzzi and game room was awesome. Great view during the day and stars at night was beautiful.
Although the propane ran out during our bbq, the service was quick to change the propane.
Thank you Cool Cabins for a wonderful experience, my family had a grand time. We will be back again.

      Definetely needs more improvement

Left on 12/29/2010 for a stay in December 2010

When we arrived on 12/24/2010 around 3pm, we found that our cabin was not cleaned at all (bed is not made, no toilet paper in restroom, dirty towels in restroom, no paper towel, no trash bag, cereal on the ground, etc...)

Contacted the front desk to ask for house keeping, and they did send someone in after 1 hr or so.

Hot water is tough to get even after we turn up the water heater to max.

Outdoor hot tub is great though, I think that is the only good thing about this cabin.
