A fantastic cabin in Big Bear with all the amenities to make for

After searching around for the right place, we found the perfect cabin for a ski trip weekend. The cabin was close to Snow Summit and the quaint village of Big Bear and was tucked away in the hills far enough to give you a sense of being in the woods. I was pleasantly surprised at how well the property was maintained and all the amenities. We lacked for nothing. We brought our two dogs and they even had water and food dishes for them and extra leashes. I would recommend this cabin to anyone who wants a really comfortable, cozy place to stay in Big Bear.

We stayed with four couples, two children, and two dogs so there was not a lot of elbow room, but the treetop deck was amazing!!! Really opens up the square footage of the main level. Includes an awesome jacuzzi overlooking the forest without obstruction or other cabins, just trees and mountains. Nice moderate hiking nearby. Great kitchen. Would likely be ideal for two families with teenager children as the two downstair bedrooms are smaller with bunk/trundle type beds and the two upstair bedrooms are larger master-like suites. I made sure to discuss the size of my cabin at length with this guest prior to booking the reservation and expressed my concern that it would be TOO small for their needs. After sharing my apprehension with him, both he and his entire party decided they still wanted to go ahead with the reservation. I am thankful they were able to enjoy the cabin and its location despite not heeding my warnings about their large group of guests.
Just what the doctor ordered for a family of 4!

Spent an enjoyable/refreshing week in this well appointed cabin during aug. The cabin had everything we needed and the spacious deck, complete with a brand new pristine hot tub, a high-end Weber gas BBQ and upscale patio furniture, were stellar! Nestled amongst tall Pine trees and far away from neighbors, allowed us to have the unencumbered peace and relaxation we desired. The view from the cabin/deck was magnificent day and night. We had never witnessed so many stars until we spied them from our treetop deck. Our boys loved to play with our dog amongst the Pine trees behind the house. The owner Debra was a pleasure to work with, and after staying in her cabin it became obvious she had impeccable taste and did not spare any expense making her second home, a home away from home. Thank you for taking pride in your cabin and sharing it with us!

My husband and I loved this cabin. It had everything we needed and more. We really felt at home here as did our 2 dogs. The deck and Hot Tub has the most beautiful view, we spent most of our days outside enjoying and relaxing the quite forest. The kitchen was fully equipped and then some. I cooked or Bbq'd 6 of the 7 nights we were there. Check in was easy and friendly and they provided easy directions to the location. It's not crazy far from town or the lake, but we loved that it was a real getaway from it all!!! Debra was great to deal with and made sure all was well with us from start to finish.

This is a beautiful cabin with an amazing view. The pictures are accurate and you will not be disappointed. One of the reasons we chose this cabin was for the view as well as being pet friendly. It is immaculate and you would never know that dogs have stayed in this cabin. Close to everything yet the setting allows the feeling of serenity. We will be back. Debra was great to deal with too.

If you are looking for a quiet mountain getaway, this cabin is for you. The pictures tell it all, no surprises here. Pride of ownership shows with attention to detail. The deck is huge with the nicest hot tub I have ever seen in a rental property. Peaceful, quiet location. I can't say enough good things about this property. My kids and dogs played right out back in the woods, while we relaxed on the deck. Look no further...perfect.

Thank you for creating such a warm and cozy place to call home, even if it was for a short while. What I saw on the website is exactly what I got. Sitting on the deck having my morning coffee admiring the beautiful view made for a great start to the day and the warmth from the fireplace was a perfect ending. Not to mention the very comfortable bed with the microfiber sheets. I slept like a baby.
I will highly recommend your home to all my friends looking for a great escape. Thanks again and look forward to another visit sometime in the future.
comfortable stay at a cozy, family-friendly cabin.

I brought my wife and four children to Big Bear for a holiday weekend and stayed in this cabin. It was very roomy and had many nice little touches. Very comfortable beds. The hot tub on the deck was great. The downstairs kids' bedrooms could get a bit chilly at night, but stayed warm enough if the doors were kept closed. The owner was very responsive to questions we had while we were there. Nice, comfortable cabin. Read more
I have provided a "Consumer Reports- BEST RATED" space heater in each of the downstairs bedrooms if some extra heat is needed on those chilly winter nights.

In early December (2012) we spent a week at the Cozy Cabin with family. There were eight of us (six adults and two children). The setting is beautiful and overlooks the mountains. At night the temps drop into the teens so snow was being made during the night for skiing and tubing the next day. The slopes were within easy access to the cabin, as was food shopping and woodsy walks. The appliances were mostly new and first class, so cooking was easy with everything needed to prepare anything imaginable. All pots and pans available with dishes. Dishwasher was excellent. There is even a slowcooker for while we were on the slopes. The cabin includes everything from new washer/dryer to linens and even wood for the fireplace. The cabin was freshly cleaned for our visit and in first-class shape. The deck was wonderful with a new hot tub that held six people and a gas grill on the deck that we used for several meals as well. We called the landlord (Debra) anytime we needed advice from how to turn on the large flat-screen TV, to working the appliances. She always called back within the hour and so we had no problems what-so-ever. The beds were luxurious and everyone slept very well after a day of full activities. At night we watched some videos together, that family members supplied, and the living room was somewhat crowded. More reading light would have been helpful in the living room and bedrooms for those who prefer to read in spare time. We had three cars and parking was tight but adequate off road. Given the opportunity, we would do it again, but probably in January or February with actual snow on the ground (but no problems driving when we were there). Route 38 to and from la seems the safest and would be preferred with a snow storm during the stay. Read more
Although the cabin can accommodate 8 guests, four of the beds are bunks and trundles better suited for children. Please realize that eight adults, all in the living room together can be a bit much and feel cramped. Please take this into consideration prior to booking. I have added a floor lamp in the living room with a bright 3way bulb to address lighting issue.

We stayed with our family over this past Labor Day weekend; was a lovely home beautifully decorated with top of the line kitchen accessories. Our grandchildren enjoyed the kids Dvd's provided and the bunk beds. The adults loved the king beds with lovely bedding. The setting was so peaceful and relaxing; and the veiw so nice from the deck into the forest. We had a fantastic BBQ to celebrate 2 family birhtdays on our last night there; and loved the wonderful BBQ grill provided. Was a welcome get away for our family. Debra was great through the whole process and so very nice to work with.

If you are in need of some "down time" this charming cabin is absolute perfection! The setting is quiet and serene, with a gorgeous view of the forest preserve, yet it's within a stone's throw of everything you could possibly need. The decore is tasteful, not kitschy, and the house was very comfortable, making it a nice place to come home to after a day on the lake. We've had our share of experiences with "eccentric" property owners, but Debra was great from first contact and there were no "surprises" upon our arrival. Nice, after recently sharing a property in Napa with a flock of wild (and aggressive) turkeys! We can't wait to return in winter and are already making plans.
