Villa Vistas is an awesome property with four bedrooms and three baths with far reaching and fantastic views. The house is nicely decorated and the entire bedroom mattresses are brand new. This 2 story home has two bedrooms on the lower level with a shared bath and laundry room. The first bedroom has a futon bed, TV/DVD and a mini pool table. The second bedroom has a full bed, one bunk set and 2 trundle beds. As you go upstairs, the fully equipped kitchen has a dishwasher, microwave and a dining table for 6 people with additional seating at the island bar for 5 more. TexasGreat for large family get togethers

We really enjoyed our stay here but wish we had been warned about the road conditions and the steep driveway that we had to park on. Although it did not snow while we were there and all the roads were clear it still took 4 wheel drive to get to this house due to the ice that never melted on the shady parts of the road. The home was beautiful and nicely decorated. There was plenty of room and we were very comfortable. We had a problem with the refrigerator that was never solved and the freezer didn't work. I tried to call the maintenance office but they never returned my calls and as a result we had to throw out quite a lot of food that had spoiled. Even with this problem we had a great Christmas and I enjoyed having all my kids in the same house again!

Unfortunately, it is common during the winter here in the San Bernardino National Forest to experience difficulties with ice and snow since temperatures are frequently below freezing. It is however, excellent to know you had a great stay in spite of the difficulties you experienced during your stay, which we do apologize for. San Jose, Catoo inconvenient

Pros: 4 bedroom with nice kitchen.
Cons:
2 downstairs bedrooms are cold. If you don't much care for your guests and want to freeze them put them downstairs. A couple of nice space heaters would help greatly. There were 2 dinky ones but one did not work.
parking for only 2 cars. rented to place for 13 people. How many people fit into 2 cars? it was winter so not allowed to park on street. the garage was locked by owners as I presemue they had their stuff in there so only allowed to park 2 cars in the driveway (by local law apparently). all cars in excess had to parked at the designated area - at Vons market some 3 miles away!
No wood burning fireplace even though the rental agency asked if we wanted wood pre-deliverd! When I go to the mountains one of the highlights is a wood fireplace. This place only had a gas with fake logs fireplace. On top of that the gas remote controlled fireplace did not work. Called maintenance for help and they were not sure either. Removed the cover to the fireplace and turned on the gas as well as a switch that turned on the remote. Was a little sketchy as there were two corroded batteries in hooked up to the circuit.

Thank you for your constructive criticism. However, when looking into your review we were able to determine that the home does in fact have a wood burning stove and not a gas ignition system. Likewise, the maximum number of cars in a home is unfortunately a factor that is beyond our control when it is determined.
