Sherman Oaks, CAThe cabin was cute for two but uncomfortable.
Left on 08/11/2012 for a stay in July 2012
The bed was really hard and uncomfortable along with the couches. The couches sloped to front so you always felt you were falling off.
The hottub did not get above 85 even though it was set to 101. It was still at 85 on the third day of our visit.
We were disappointed because it had such potential. It was a really cute little cabin that would be great for a couple plus a small child. And there was a donkey across the way who was cute.
The area is very far out of town and we didn't realize it was that far out. -

We were very apprehensive because alot of reviews were not very good. We however had a great experience. It is small but cozy we thought it was perfect for the 2 of us. Very clean, spa was awsome especially after all of our hiking. The masterbed room was quite sm there fore the bed was too :( so if you have a problem sleeping close to someone or you are big this would be an issue. We cook so we did alot of prepwork & brought most of our stuff but was very surprised to find no measuring cups or spoons, good thing I have a good eye. Oh & there is no lightin in the kitchen which makes cooking a bit hard a very simple inexpensive solution would mount a light over the stove & the sink. The light from the living area shadows really bad. The towels were pretty pathetic in the bathroom but they did the job. There is a wall heater in the front part of house so during the winter the bedrooms would probably get quite chilly. Would we stay here again? Absolutely! Oh & very quiet. We were sad to see the for sale sign out front so we are going to have to find a back up place just in case for our future stays.

We loved that this cozy place a short drive from everything. We wanted peace and quiet and we got just what we wanted. I love that it's in an average neighborhood. So u can't really tell of the people around u live there or are renting a cabin also. We felt safe going for a walk in the evening. The beds were very comfortable! The kitchen was cute! I do recommend taking your own frying fan. My only complaint was that the jacuzzi seemed a bit dirty. We kept pressing the button for it to get warmer but it never changed. We couldn't get the light to work on it also so once the sun set we had to go back inside. But over all it's an awsome get away!

I think that the cabin needs to be updated a little. I could not find some things from the kitchen. I cook a little when we go somewhere, so there were not enough utensils. The knives were not good for cooking. Next time I am definitely bringing my own garlic press. And we had to go and buy a large frying pan. There was a tiny one in the cupboards. The lighting in the house was insufficient as well. It was hard to read in the evening. I now put a reading light on my travel list just in case. It was pretty dark for reading everywhere. More lamps would help. I think that the carpet needs to be updated as well. It is a little dirty. The couches were uncomfortable. It felt like you were falling into space when sitting on the couch. I liked a large TV, the music system could have an iPod jack to catch up with the times ;), it only worked with a CD. The yard was nice, and it was great to light up the fireplace in the evening. It warms up the room right away. Thank you for all the blankets in the closets. They came in handy :) We may not rent this cabin again, but we will definitely use this agency in the future. We like the prices. Thank you.

We had a great weekend, we walked in and it was just as the description and pictures had shown, very modern, clean and everything looked new. Jacuzzi was nice after Snowboarding all day, Large TV in the living room we only had a 1 night stay but we really liked it and would stay there again for sure!

This was our second CC rental. We really like this cabin. Modern and clean inside. jacuzzi and BBQ. Nice widescreen TV in living room. Tvs in both bedrooms. Heater in bathroom! Only downside was a leaky toilet that kept refilling throughout the night. No biggee.

Cutest cabin ever! The decor of the cabin to the detail is cute. My first impression upon arriving was wow this looks like a toy house. Roomy, relaxing and welcoming. Big plus on the jacuzzi. I would definitely rent at Beary Charming again.

This cabin is very nice and clean. There are only 2 downsides to it. There is no lighting in the kitchen at all. The living room/kitchen has an overhead fan with light and that is it. The other is that the couches are so small and they are not comfortable for laying around and watching movies. I was prepared for this due to the reviews I read and the pictures I saw. The fireplace and hot tub were great. The master bed room has only a double size bed as stated, not a queen bed. I only say that because I didn't pay too much attention when looking on line. However, the bed was comfortable and there was 2 great down comforters on it. Plenty warm! Our time spent there was all about having a relaxing get away. If you are planning on cooking while you are there, note that there is only one very small frying pan and one medium sized pot. The heater does a great job of keeping the place warm. We used the gas barbque and it worked great! I was very happy with using Big Bear Cool Cabins and will use them again.

Southern CaliforniaGreat Weekend Getaway
Left on 02/29/2012 for a stay in February 2012
We really enjoyed our stay. We arrived on a Thursday and after the first night we had to stay all weekend. The office was very accommodating since it was not booked for the following night we were able to add an additional night. This particular cabin was on the outskirts of Big Bear, so at first we didn't like being so far from the village. The cabin itself was very cute, and newly remodeled. The owners did a great job decorating. It felt comfy and homey. We made all of our meals there and really enjoyed having a fully functioning kitchen. Our cabin didn't have towels, but it was an easy phone call to the office and they had them to us within the hour of our call. We didn't have any problems with the heater, water or hot tub. Although, it was way to cold for us to use the hot tub. It was clean and looked inviting!
The second bedroom is small. So if you plan on taking your infant or toddler and are using a pack-n-play it does fit, but we had to take down the little shelf that was in there so our little guy didn't play with it. :) I think the only thing that I would have liked better was an earlier check in and later check out. But all in all if you have 3 people in your family to visit this cute cabin, I think you will enjoy your stay: we really did! -

The cabin was small and cozy. I wish there was mention that there was not an actual couch, but two small loveseats. They were actually more like oversized chairs. It really didn't seam big enough for 3 people. The back patio was nice, with a nice grill and hot tub.

I really enjoyed this cabin. It was clean and especially warm. I brought my Shiba Inu puppy with me and he has enough room outside in the fenced in yard to enjoy himself too. We used the jacuzzi and the grill which were also both clean. Very nice stay!

Beary Charming was a pleasure to stay in! We enjoyed the fire place and definitely the hot tub! The hot tub was a little low when we got there so I tried to put water in with the hose. The hose was laying on the ground full of frozen water so I put it in the hot tub so it would thaw. Once that was done I discovered the outside spigot didn't even work. I ended up gilling my cooler in the bath tub 3 times and pouring that water in the hot tub. It was a bit of work and a little annoying but once that was done we had a great time there. Oh ya, and the hot water heater, which is outside, wasn't turned on when we got there so the first morning we woke up we didn't have hot water for showers. Once we got back from boarding and I had time, I was able to turn on the hot water heater but geez! The location was great, on a very quiet residential street with lots of kids running around that our kids could play with. The front steps are very icy from roof runoff so watch your step. A rain gutter should be added along the roof line just above the front porch to prevent that. Anyway, overall it was a great cabin and we would definitely stay there again but I'll have to go thru a checklist when we get there because the attn to detail during the prep doesnt seem to be there.
