I planned my first big family vacation at Bair Ranch. Despite there being so many of us, it was an absolutely peaceful and relaxing trip. Bair Ranch is a beautiful house, situated just far enough from the main town to enjoy the quietness and scenery, yet close enough to make a quick run to town if needed. The owners are wonderful people, who live nearby and offer their services if needed. We will be back in the near future. Thank you!

This unit is lovely both inside and out. It's clean considering it's pet friendly. I enjoyed waking up to the view of the mountains and sleeping under the stars when the sky is clear. The tvs & DVD players can use some upgrade; a DVD library would be nice since we forgot to bring any. But overall I was very pleased with my selection after hours of searching the website. Thank you Bair Ranch !!

We love this location! It was out of the way, great for star gazing and hiking. It was so quiet, you really feel like youve gotten away from it all. The house was big and had everything that we needed. The only downfall was the living room furniture wasn't very comfortable. The owners were very nice and thoughtful, we enjoyed having them next door. We had a great time and would stay here again.

The home was beautiful and comfortable. The owners live next door and were very kind. They left fresh eggs in the refrigerator and offered more if we needed them. However, they were not intrusive, but gave us plenty of privacy. They did suggest a great hiking trail when we asked. The only thing we would suggest is that the directions to the home specify that the fence has a "private drive" sign. When we saw the sign, we turned around and had to come across a neighbor who was working outside who assured us we were heading to the right place.
The cabin was very nice, but some things had room for improvement. For example there was rust stain in thu bathtub, and water pressure in the shower was weak. However, for the price, I would say it was nice.
The owners, were right next door which wasn't something we expected, but ot wasn't bothersome. They actually left us with fresh eggs and a few bundles of firewood.
It's close to ohv trails, so that was a plus for us. Our experience minus the rooster was satisfying, and I would consider staying again.
The views were very beautiful, and even though we thought we were going to have a view of the lake, it was a lake bed without water, the rest of the views made you feel like you were away from the city, and were really quite beautiful.
I would say the biggest negative would be not getting to sleep in. We left to get a good night's sleep, but were awakened by the rooster in the early morning. I would have been fine with that if I were expecting it. So be warned, a rooster is likely to wake you, and if you want to sleep in, maybe consider a different cabin. Read more
Thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback on your stay at Bair Ranch.
These particular owners always do their best to make sure that their guests enjoy themselves and feel right at home. We just wanted to take a moment and update you to let you know the owners no longer have the rooster. Hopefully that means you would be interested in coming to visit again, we know the owners would enjoy that!

My family and I decided to get away for the weekend and let's just say we had an amazing experience. My kids loved being right outside horses and chickens. When we checked there was a lovely note and fresh eggs in the fridge. The next day our kids were outside when the owner came by and said hello. She allowed our kids in the chicken coop to pet and hold the chickens. She went above and beyond to make our stay amazing.

We spent the weekend there with our dogs. Very clean log cabin with amazing and tranquil views. If you want to get away from city life to unwind this is your place! Owners were very friendly and welcoming. Cabin was clean and cozy. Fresh eggs from the chicken coop and horses all around, couldn't ask for a better hideaway. At night you can gaze at the stars from the deck. Will stay here again!

This home literally backs up to a beautiful horse/hike trail that continues forever! Our family probably had our best vacation of all time! We had unbeilvable hospitality from the owner that lived close by.
Our 3 year old daughter has not stopped talking about the fresh eggs every morning that she was able to get straight from the chicken coop!!
This vacation home was an unforgettable experience for the entire family! We are very appreciative for their hospitality & contribution to an unforgettable family vacation.
Thank you Bair family for sharing your home with our family!!! We will definiately recomend your vacation home and return shortly ourselves!!! God bless.

We had a great time, the cabin was large and roomy. The owner stopped by and greeted us with some fresh farm eggs. If you like coffee in the morning I would suggest you bring your coffee maker as there's was a bit old and slow to brew. It's a very nice cabin and quite. A great get away. The hiking in the area was outstanding. I would stay again. Thanks,

My husband and I found this cabin perfect for our stay in Big Bear. We loved that it is located just a little outside of town on horse property. This allowed us to feel we had more privacy and were more "away from it all". We had wonderful views of the mountains and valley. The cabin has wrap around decks on the upper and lower level. The cabin was very clean and spacious with lots of windows to look out of. I'd definitely recommend it for families.
