Located in the exclusive Meadowbrook Estates. On just over an acre of property. There are 4 seasons of fun here! You can go hiking in the forrest right out the back door! This is the only house in the area that truly backs up to the National Forrest. The streets are level so you can bike or just take a walk! It is a great area for playing in the snow!

We spent spring break at appaloosa Estate with our two boys (5 & 7) and extended family. The property really is everything advertised. The house is spacious and clean. All of the appliances are state of the art. The grounds are expansive and set in a sort of forest, gated community, suburban location. The owner Daniel is very responsive and helpful. We would definitely go back.

I always get nervous booking thins online because pictures and people can be deceiving but boy am I glad I booked appaloosa Estate! We got so lucky!! It is the most spectacular cabin any of us had ever seen/stayed in. The amenities were perfect. The location was prime. The scenery was spectacular. The owners were a pleasure. We have found the cabin that we will be staying in for years to come and we are so happy about it!! You will not regret it! Trust me! Just be careful with the directions, for some reason our iphones were sending us to a property 10min away from the Estate.

The property is simply just amazing! Daniel, the owner of the home is laid back and friendly from the moment you arrive he has the home pre-heated to a comfy temperature and is waiting to welcome you to the appalossa Estate.
The check-in process quick and very informative. Daniel shows you everything from how to control the heat of the home, the many light switches, and even how the oven works.
We had a group of 14 people and the home had way more than enough beds to accommodate us. My favorite part was the amazing hot tub that can seat 6 adults! The home has everything you need to have an amazing vacation and to feel like your at home away from home. I look forward to staying at the appaloosa Estate again! -

Our stay at the appaloosa Estate was tranquil and enjoyable. The outdoors boasted a sweet scent of the pine trees, cool mountain air and spacious terrain that hosted numerous friends and animals alike. The residence contained many convenient appliances and luxurious rooms fit for relaxation whilst the upstairs game room provided much excitement and distraction from everyday life. With the mountains and tree lines as the backdrop for this elegant and voluminous cabin, we very much look forward to more vacations at the appaloosa Estate.

A gorgeous property located in Big Bear, Appaloosa Estate is ideal for a luxury weekend (or longer!) away from the hustle and bustle of day-to-day living.
From the moment you arrive in the area, it's like being in an enchanted forest, many trees, cooler weather, it's a completely different way of life up there. Very laid back and calm. Serene.
The check-in process was painless, Dan showed us all the vital information (and there is an estate guide as well), made sure we had enough bedding & towels, how to use appliances, the spa, etc. The house was spotless, unlike many rentals in mountain areas. Huge plus!!!
Our stay was amazing. The weather was fabulous, such a change from the 100+ degree weather where I live, it was nice to need a comfy sweater at night! To hear the animals in the background (the estate backs up to the national forest), walk around a gorgeous neighborhood, take a trip into town for all the Labor Day festivities.
I recommend this place for families, or even couples who want an enchanted weekend (or longer!) away from the hustle and bustle of Southern California. Situated 7,000 feet above sea level, you will enjoy a relaxing time away.
My favorite part of our stay was sitting in the jacuzzi on the back porch enjoying the scenery around us. I have no dislikes about this property, the service, etc. It was a perfect perfect weekend.
Stay here, you will not regret it! -
