This welcoming lodge is surrounded by tall pines, a large entertaining deck perfect for an outdoor BBQ or just to relax and be one with nature. Enjoy a peaceful getaway with proximity to ski slopes, the lake, shops, dining and plenty of hiking trails.
Unlike other cottages or cabins, our unique Quonset Hut Lodge is a fully equipped house intended to provide all the comforts of home. This is an adorable cabin! Convenient to everything, perfectly well-equipped beyond your wildest dreams (how many people need a potato peeler and an egg poacher on vacation?!) and utterly cute. The huge, powerful central heat is terrific for nights when it is cold. The place is quiet, the neighbors are all old or not even there, and the decor on the inside is charming. It's not that kind of gauche rustic that you see so much up here. Perfect spot! Easily sleeps 4 adults, but you could put a kid or two on the ample couches, too.
Also: a carport! Rare here to get a rental with covered parking.
Absolutely a great choice - I stayed for six happy weeks. -

The place was very clean and cozy, it was very hospitable. The cottage itself was actually bigger than I expected. The owners are really nice folk. The place is right by town, which was great. All in all, I would definitely go back. 5 out of 5.

The Big Bear Quonset Lodge was perfect for our weekend stay in the Big Bear area. Very cozy, very cute, comfortable and meticulously clean. It had all the amenities you could want: Wifi, Cable, Flat Screen TVs, DVD Player, Gas Fireplace (didn't need to lug firewood up there) etc. The kitchen was stocked with everything you would want in a home away from home. The cabin is very cutely decorated, and the beds and couches were very comfortable. The owners were also very attentive as well. Natalie sent very detailed, easy to follow directions. When we had a question, all we had to do was call, and they were available and quick with an answer. We really had a great stay. Would definitely stay again.
