Pine Retreat, built in 2001 is an affordable luxury vacation rental with amazing amenities located in Southern California mountains at 7,000 feet elevation. This quiet custom log cabin home has 3 bedrooms and 2 baths - sleeps 8, great for families - not intended as a party destination. We are minutes away from Bear Mountain, Snow Summit, and the 7 mile long Lake. It's a perfect vacation getaway, only 2 hours from the Los Angeles area.

All the creature comforts with that log cabin finish. Took the wife and kids up to Big Bear for some fun in the snow and decided to rent a cabin. We were so pleasantly surprised when we arrived for our two night stay here. Great amenities throughout; beautifully furnished, cool kitchen nook, jacuzzi (which we soaked in), flat screens in all the bedrooms, WiFi...it even has a view of the slopes. I won't look for another location when we travel up to Big Bear again, this is where we stay from now on.

Our experience with the cabin was excellent. It was fully stocked with everything we needed to have a comfortable stay. There were plenty of all the comforts from home all the way from laundry soap to lotions. It was also nice to know that if we ran out of anything, that we could contact someone and it would be brought right over. The cabin is in excellent condition, clean and very well kept up. It was very cozy and had a wonderful homey feel to it. It was located near town so that if we had to go to the store everything was local. This was most definitely one of our favorite and most memorable family vacations.

This was truly a great experience. The cabin was clean, comfortable, and very spacious. It had a lot of perks for the kids too, such as flat screen Tv's in each room, Wii system, movies, and even a big box of legos and trains. Our kids didn't want to leave the cabin for the first day. A two car garage was also a pleasant surprise. The washer and dryer came in handy. The kitchen had all the amenities I have at home with stove, big size regrigerator, microwave, and so much more.
We also enjoyed the bar-b-que and hot tub. Great care has been given to details, making our stay truly a wonderful experience. -

First class all the way! Clean, cozy, comfortable with all the amenities of home and then some. Impeccable attention to detail. Extremely well maintained. Close to shopping and restaurants. Halloween in the Village was a fantastic experience! Exceeded my expectations in every way!! Definitely deserves 10 stars in every category!

The house was easy to find and ready for us when we arrived.
My favorite aspect was that the house had the feel of being at home but we were on the mountains near a lake. The place has a lot of activities to spend time outdoors and still is very comfortable as soon as the daylight makes us go inside. We went hiking and fishing on the lake, then shopped downtown. When we went back to the cabin my children enjoyed riding their bicycles around the safe neighborhood and watching TV. We cooked a great dinner on the barbecue and spent time in the hot tub before going to sleep to prepare for the next adventure the following day.

This cabin was amazing!!! The location is amazing, close to stores. Spa was a very nice amendity. Beds were very comfortable, as was the couch. Beautiful woodsy feel inside. Great home furnishings. The cabin had plenty of room for our 2 busy children to run around and play. Backyard is gated which made me feel very secure with my children playing in the back. We loved our stay here and would highly reccommend this little peace of heaven to anyone.

The owners have thought of everything. Every room has a wall mounted TV, the furniture is very nice and comfortable, and there's a jacuzzi out back. We felt immediately at home and excited for our weekend. It's on a nice, quiet street that's close to everything.

We had a short visit, Friday through Sunday. The cabin was well appointed with all of the amenities one would find in a family home! Plenty of sleeping room, tv's, dvd's, board games and a very nice spa. The beds were very comfortable. We loved the bbq grill and used it twice!Everything was clean, tidy and user friendly. I initially had reservations regarding having to take our trash with us, but with the directions it was a quick and easy drop off. We hope to be back during ski season!

This is a great cabin. It was perfect for our family's vacation. We enjoyed spending time in the yard. It is beautifully landscaped and perfect for vacation enjoyment with the spa, barbeque, and fire pit. The neighborhood is very peaceful and made for a great getaway.
We loved the rustic feel of the cabin but it still had all the modern amenities we could think of. The game system, blue ray player, and large screen tv made our inside time enjoyable too.
The kitchen was great for our long stay. Everything we needed to prepare meals was available.
I would definitely recommend this vacation rental. -

We have stayed at many cabin rentals in Big Bear, but this Pine Retreat cabin was beyond expectation! It was very clean, decent sized, and kitchen had everything we needed. Also got much use from the Wii game console. Loved that every room had its own idock. Our family will definetly return next winter.

We have rented this home 4 times now and have had as many as 7 people in the group and it was very comfortable! Great TV / entertainment system, comfortable beds, well appointed bathrooms & kitchens and nice back yard patio with grill and hot tub! Everyone I've ever taken here was always impressed!

This was a truly wonderful vacation for our family of 4. There was a lot of snow and fun around the cabin. This cabin comes complete with all amenities and beyond. The spa and backyard was very pretty with the lighting, firepit and bbq. The Kitchen is well equipped. You really felt this was your home while there. The neiborhood is very beautiful and peaceful.

My wife & 2 kids (ages 6 & 2) stayed here for 3 days, 2 nights. Wonderful cabin and great location!!! The kids are waterbugs so they loved the spa (I think we all did)! And I am a carnivore so I loved the big grill & counter island! Very nice and quiet neighborhood which made for enjoyable evening strolls. I honestly couldn't ask for anything else in a Big Bear cabin. Will probably rent the exact same cabin again soon...

A few months ago I along my girlfriend and our friends spent Memorial Weekend in this great and lovely cabin, we had a blast, loved the amazingly clean and well equipped cabin, not to mention its jacuzzi as well as the wii game and the whole entertainment center including netflix, movies, DVD player, LCD big screen tv, games etc. Great location, close to everything, I will soon stay there for another amazing experience for sure. Strongly recommend it to everyone.

This cabin is so nice to relax in & enjoy a getaway! The inside is so comfortable & practical for a family or group to share but still maintains a cozy mountain feel. The "cabin in the woods" feeling continues when you step out onto the patio. From the game of horse shoes to the jacuzzi to the fire ring, it is easy to get caught up in the atmosphere of this cabin. Being within walking distance to the lake, stores, restaurants, etc made this the ideal place for our family to enjoy!
