It is a beautifully quiet afternoon here at Mountain Top Views. The low lying clouds appear like fog weaving their way through the tree tops. The beginning of winter is at Big Bear's doorstep and the change in season is a welcome site. From the vantage point of the top deck of this triple level cabin, the trails of the local ski resort are dry and baron. It's exciting to think that in a very short time blankets of snow will alter their appearance until Easter Sunday ushers in the green of Springtime. For now, the fireplace is lit and your Pumpkin Spice Latte fills the room with the sweet smell of the remnants of Autumn. Everyone you came with... is out hiking and you are left with the preparation of dinner - thank goodness for Crock-Pots as the roast and potatoes have been on for hours and should be perfectly ready to go by the time you hear the first boot hit the stairs below...what a wonderful lazy afternoon it has been. After dinner, the Foosball tournament begins as does Jacuzzi time. There is something incredibly "vacation like" to sit in a Jacuzzi in the mountains in the cold - it's something you wouldn't do at home but an event that you can't pass up here....maybe it's being so close to the stars? You will be fascinated by how many constellations seem close enough to touch. Mountain Top Views is a tranquil paradise buried deep in the mountains of Moonridge. The views are spectacular, the air is heavenly and the silence is golden - the only thing you need bring are warm socks a good book and a handful of those you love.

  We came up to Big Bear for two nights and barely stayed in the cabin. It was a nice cabin, although creaky floors and feels unleveled. It was decorated cute and was homey. The whole family enjoyed the foosball table, even though there was no foosballs. We went out and purchased replacements so we could play.
  
  My only complaint is that we paid a $125 cleaning fee, yet we had to take out the trash ourselves and do the dishes. The place probably needed a light dusting, but definitely not a $125 service. Apparently the cleaning crew found a small scratch on one of the many televisions there and the agency said they needed to "investigate". It was upsetting to hear this, as we know that we did not cause this scratch, but felt like we were being treated guilty from the start. I asked to see the video footage of the home. There was a sign posted that the premises were video recorded prior to our stay for our protection. We were not provided with video, but we looked back at the listing photos of the home, and we could see the scratch on the TV. When my husband called to clarify with the agent, she was not very nice. Eventually she called back and said the family who owned the property had been contacted and they said not to worry about it. We still have not received our deposit back and it has been almost 2 weeks!
  
  Overall, it was a decent place to stay. Large enough for large groups of people. The price was good for the season. I would probably not rent this cabin during the snow season as it has an extremely steep driveway!
