When getting to the check in officr, everyone was very friendly and helped us with any questions we had. They gave us instructions to get to the cabin, and just by the look of it we knew which one it was. The cabin was very homey and it was just right for our group. The location was perfect, it was across from the lake and it wasnt far from the town area. The group and I made the best of thevweekend we spend here. We felt like a huge family. There isn't any bad things i have to say about this place. It was my first time coming to Big Bear and renting a cabin. We are definitely coming back for the summer.

Lovely house. Needs a larger crock pot to accomadate for large family. No CD player in large tv viewing area. Little challenging to enter driveway. Overall the house is beautiful with a lovely view of the lake from inside the house. Very close to the village. Would not recommend walking. Would definitely stay again Read more
We are so happy that you enjoyed your stay. That driveway can be a little tricky, but we are happy that you enjoyed the view of our beautiful lake.

We had a great time in this cabin. The reviews that indicate road noise was a problem were perhaps overstated. While being on the main road means a bit of noise, the location and the view, especially from the loft, made it well worth it! Clean and tidy, we stayed at Christmas time and tasteful decorations were out, along with a small decorated tree. Very nice. The only thoughts - if you have a large group, it would be wise to request the water heater temp be turned up a bit, it ran low after a few showers, but we were staggering our bath times so it worked fine. Also, the serving bowls and cooking utensils (not just re-heating, but real cooking) were a bit sparse as well. If you are planning on preparing your own feast, think about bringing some large serving items. Read more
Thank you so much for leaving us your feedback and we are so happy to hear you enjoyed your stay. The owner is purchasing new cookware for your next stay!

Had an awesome time with my group of friends at this cabin. We cooked, we ate, we relaxed, and we had a great time. Comfortable for 3 couples and extremely nice amenities. Wish they had a fooseball table.

This was my family's 2nd stay at Bidaki, and it was as amazing as my first trip. Views are spectacular. The cabin was in excellent condition. In fact, I loved how the owners installed a new fence on the front patio area so our dog couldn't get out. Also, they added another couch in the living room area. I love staying here, and I'm sure we will do for many years to come. The staff at Big Bear Cool Cabins (Carrie) were awesome as usual).

We had a lovely stay at Bidaki at Bay. The cabin was clean and comfortable with beautiful views of Boulder Bay. The park across the street was perfect for our pups. We would definitely stay there again.
Beautiful, comfortable home but road-noisy

The house was beautiful & comfortable with a great view of Boulder Bay. It had everything we needed except a box of swiffers and a long stick. The cobwebs on the vaulted ceiling and the dust were so out of place here. Location was terrific for family because you can launch your kayak straight out of the bay. The house is right on busy Hwy 18 so bring ear plugs for sleeping and watch your kids/pets. The house shakes when a big truck goes by. The backyard is terrific. Our dog loved running up and down the stairs, but she is not one to wander so she was fine since it is not quite fenced all the way around. All in all we had a great time here but next time I will rent something further from the main road.
Prettier than the pictures, but not quiet by any means

Loved this place.
Would love it even more if we didn't have a dog with us. It's on the main road in/out of town, so there's heavy, noisy, traffic from dawn til dusk. Dog owners beware. The dog almost got hit twice as there's no fence around this yard, and there's a fun park right across the street for them to play. The view made up for it.
We were blown away by the view and location across (I mean 50 feet away) from Boulder Bay Park. It was summertime, so we watched kayakers while sipping wine on the porch at sunset.
Cabin was clean and well-stocked, but we got hit with a mystery $50 charge after our stay.
This place is awesome!!

This place was great location. Had park right in front with beautiful views. Kept up very well. It was a great family vacation. We likes it that it wasn't in the middle of the hustle on Big Bear Blvd yet still convenient location.

This place was nicely done inside, decorated beautifully. It is right on the main street which was worrisome with pets and small children. Its best to back into the driveway as it is on an incline if your traveling with an suv or hatchbatch vehicle. It would be nice if the yard was fully enclosed..seemed like they started and never finished. I dont believe this was a great location for our small child since of the easy access to the main road which cars are driving at least 45 mph but he did love the backyard and explored it very well. There was a sidegate which we thought was funny but you could just walk around the open space on the side of it and not go through the gate..kindof defeated the purpose of why you would put a gate when there is no connecting fence to enclose it. It is a perfect location if your looking to fish off the small dock across the main street. The town distance isnt really walking distance like we wanted but that was due more to no sidewalks, there was a little market in walking distance though which was nice. The house felt very roomy and was fully supplied with all you could need. We definately would rent this place again but only if the price was around what we paid nothing more due to the location on the main road.

All of my guests couldn't sleep, because the smoke detector kept beeping from 2am-7am, probably running out of its battery juice, and since it was so high up, no one could reach it, none of us slept and i was embarassed, because we couldn't do anything about it. If i dont get a refund of at least 50% of my $$, i'll never rent from your company. All of those items should be up to date and re-checked every week (even if the place hasn't been rented out for a while), that is your responsibility!

We have been looking forward to this family vacation, and hoped the cabin we picked would be wonderful, and it really was! This was our first time booking with cool cabins, the online process was so easy. This home was beautiful inside, the bathrooms were clean, and the beds for us were very comfortable. Every kitchen item we needed was there just like they said. The cleaning service does need to vacuum the rugs, and dust the high ceilings. The smoke detector on the high ceilings battery went out, and we didn't bring ladder..lol, so we called the office and we had someone out within the hour to fix it. The Ladies in the office were so nice. This home is on the main road, but it didn't seem to be a big thing for us. Over all we all spend a lot of money to make a great vacation for our family, so we except to get the home a service we pay for, and I can say we really did, it was wonderful!
What a great time!

This was our first time at this property and would definitely return. The home is beautiful with a great view of Boulder Bay. The driveway is right off of Big Bear Blvd. which can be a challenge getting in and out but certainly not a deal breaker. There is a small park across the Blvd. to walk dogs - very convenient! It should also be noted this property does have stairs to get to the main level.

We are very sorry to hear that your stay was not up to par with Big Bear Cool Cabins and Bidaki at Bay. Once your review was received we did attend to all issues noted in your review. Unfortunately during the peak season in Big Bear check in and check out times may not be the most convenient for many guests. During this time all cleaning crews are under extreme time restraints in turning properties around for new guests. On the other hand to learn that the cleanliness of the home was not up to standards upon your arrival we do apologize. If you had called at any time during your stay, we would have exhausted all measures to ensure nothing but an exceptional experience with our company. Please expect an email shortly directly from myself; Kelley. Once again we deeply apologize for the issues you ran into during your stay.

Had a great experience, we arrived before check-in time but were allowed to check in anyway, was a quick and easy process, also nice that we didn't have to drive back to the office to check out when we left. The house was very nice, super-clean, had everything we needed, was even nicely decorated for the holidays. Lovely porch and back patio with BBQ, can really see ourselves coming back in the summer time to enjoy again. Beautiful location right by the lake, had great views. The hills behind the house were perfect for sledding. Perhaps only negative would be that it sits on a fairly busy road, I am a light sleeper and was woken up a few times by the traffic noise at night. And a dishwasher would have been nice, but not really necessary.

Staying at this house was fantastic because just crossing the street it's a place where kids can play and have fun. For the adults it's an amazing view of the mountains and the lake. You a are like 2 minute drive for pizza and food. We will come back again. The office staff was great and provided us the key right away.

Stayed here with 8 people for 3 nights during Thanksgiving (2011). Interior is beautiful and very clean. 1 Bdrm downstairs with Queen bed and large couch - Easily could sleep 5 in this bdrm bc you can fit in an air mattress. Living room is gorgeous with nice stereo and CD player. Kitchen has plenty of pots, pans, dishware, utensils, coffee mkr, blender and even wine & cocktail glasses. Backyard is nicely set up on an incline. Propane BBQ grill works perfectly. Upstairs has 1 bdrm, which can only sleep 2. The loft also has a Queen bed and a couple couches. With an air mattress, the loft area alone could sleep 6. I believer there were 2 or 3 TVs all set up with cable.
View is great from the front porch. The park adjacent to the cabin has a pier which you can fish from. I caught some crappie but no trout. There's a liquor/convenience store about 50 yds from the cabin, which sells bait, groceries, alcohol, etc. I would definitely stay here again. Cool cabins staff was extremely helpful and professional as well. Make sure to tip the housekeeping staff bc they did a great job of cleaning up the cabin before we arrived.

First time renting a cabin in Big Bear and Bidaki at Bay was the best choice I could have ever made. Well worth the price. Eventhough it was located on Big Bear Blvd and across from Boulder Bay, it seemed like we were secluded from everyone. The view spectacular. The cabin was absolutely gorgeous!! Plus the cabins on both sides were empty. Enjoyed the peacefulness. Would love to rent Bidaki at Bay again.

Very nice home. Clean, great view of lake, with all needed amenities and close to the lake. I like the quick access to the lake for fishing. Traffic on the road in front of the house is a concern. The front deck on the house is a great place for watch the sunset after dinner. It would be nice if there was a gate on the deck for added safety.

the home is beauitful, but our dog almost got hit by a truck, there is no enclosed yard ,no gate on porch, doors open when you close one the other opens up(need to be fixed) and when door pops open dog runs out and with no gate at front landing they run down stairs and there is the road 50 ft away we were lucky to get there before he got hit. but it is a very nice home , for adults only!

We really enjoyed our stay here, the house is on the main road with great views of Boulder Bay (dusted with snow when we were there). Beautifully decorated, great kitchen & living room, very quiet. The only drawback is that there is only one shower, not much of a problem for a smaller group.
Amazing Place for a Short Stay

The cabin is decently priced and very clean. It sleeps all of us very comfortably. The cabin is decently sized so that it brings everyone together very nicely. The high ceiling is perfect, it gave that spacious feel. The backyard is very nice. It can see the lake. The drive way can definitely fit more than 3 cars. The location is a little bit on the outskirts in my opinion, but it is still acceptable. Too bad it doesn't have a jacuzzi. It would be an awesome addition to the backyard, say up the backyard hill oversee the lake?!? Too bad it only have one shower but acceptable for the amount of occupancy it holds. An extra one would be nice. And the hot water in the shower is not hot. Above all the nice additions that I would like to have, this is a great place for a short stay!
