Muy buen precio, esta mas espaciosa de lo que parece en la fotografia, lo unico es que el piso de arriba es mas caliente que el de abajo. Muy recomendable, cerca de todo.

      Expected bettert

Left on 08/20/2012 for a stay in August 2012

The service was great, was attended right away and very nicely. What i liked about the home was the games and the movies they had. And its super close to everything which great!! But what i didn't like was that mostly every cabinet was closed, and we didn't find an iron yet they had an iron table, also alot of the doors didn't work right, the top door had a loose knob and da other top door would get stuck in the restroom, and finally most of the blankets we did find were or looked dirty. I don't think i would stay in this cabin again

      really great weekend

Left on 06/01/2012 for a stay in May 2012

Our stay started with great service at the rental office. The cabin was as promised - very clean and homey, nestled amidst the pines. A very nice touch was the tire swing in the back. Everything worked and there were no problems or disappointments. A pleasant surprise was the number of kids toys, games, and books. And, we were extremely happy about how well the kitchen was stocked, from every cooking utensil to a rack full of spices, and a lot of extra things like trash bags and paper towels. The bathrooms were equally well stocked with shampoos, gels, and soaps along with plenty of towels. There were plenty of sheets and blankets in all of the bedrooms and for the futon in the living room.

The location was prime for a weekend getaway. We enjoyed the extensive network of hiking trails, the lake, and the endless possibilities of things to do. Of course it didn't hurt that the weather was gorgeous!

      New Years Eve 2011

Left on 01/05/2012 for a stay in December 2011

First, the check in was great. Fast and to the point even on NYE weekend. The cabin is in a great location. Very close to Snow Summit and the village. It is an older cabin, but it was still nice and cozy. It fit 8 adults just fine. It is at the end of the street so collecting fire wood in the forest was easy. You can take a little hike too from the house. If your looking for something fancy, this is not it. However, if you just want a nice relaxing cabin in a great location I would recommended this cabin. Fyi, you have to connect the dishwasher into the sink to make it work. Management should inform renters of this.

      Did not disappoint!

Left on 12/30/2011 for a stay in December 2011

Had a wonderful time staying at Big Bear Lair and would definitely rent through Cool Cabins again. The only complaint I have is that if you come during the Winter time you will most likely need chains because this particular cabin is near the top of a very icy road. Other than that everything was amazing.

      Great Value, Great Cabin!

Left on 08/17/2011 for a stay in July 2011

Considering the price, we could not have been happier. It had a few dead moths and bugs lying around, but that's to be expected in an older place like that. Very comfy! We'll definitely stay there again! :)

      nightmare

Left on 07/07/2011 for a stay in July 2011

We had a major moth problem. I with someone had gone prior to our stay to clean the place. We know there will be moths around, however this was an infestation. The ladies at the office were very helpful and understanding. They placed us in another cabin with no moths. That saved our vacation! I will go back to Cool Cabins for rentals but not to the Big Bear Lair.

Fun Location for Tweens & Teens

Left on 07/06/2011 for a stay in August 2010

We are planning to return to Big Bear this summer and will try to get this cabin again. We took 2-Tween girls and 2-Teen boys with us and they loved this place. Very roomy, fun game activities (Pacman-hello!!!)very comfortable accomodations for the two grown ups in the group. Close to restaraunts, groceries, shopping, lake & fishing. The hospital is even super close (we had a fish-hook in the finger incident!)

Two very small complaints: When we arrived the place was extremely dusty. We called Cool Cabins and they sent housekeepers out immediately to clean up. The 2nd complaint is the dishwasher... very strange design and it didn't work at all.

This would definitely not keep us from returning though!

      The Jacoys...

Holiday Stay at Big Bear Lair

Left on 01/05/2011 for a stay in December 2010

The cabin was ideal for a family of six with small children. Very spacious. The nice thing about this cabin is that its secluded. It also has an empty lot next to it that allowed my kids to play right there in the snow. Plenty of room to park and neighbors were very quiet. The only complaints I had (and they are minor), the dishwasher did not work and the dryer was very poor. The heat was also very uneven (hot upstairs and cold downstairs), but that is probably indicative of two-story cabins that old.
