Cozy, quiet two bedroom, one bathroom cabin located on a large lot with great backyard slope for snow sledding in the winter. Large stone fireplace in living room, cable TVs including a 42' flat screen, DVD player, Blu-ray player, wireless internet, and kitchen with stove (no oven), refrigerator, microwave, toaster, blender, coffee maker, dishes, pots/pans and more. Front porch with charcoal barbecue and patio table for outdoor dining. Back deck with barbecue. Perfect for families and small groups.
Master bedroom has a king bed.
Bedroom two has a queen bed and a twin bed.
Maximum occupancy 5. Parking for 2 vehicles.

Prior experience with Cool Cabins has been both good and bad as far as service- this time was seamless. The cabin had a real mountain feel, with lots of wood inside. Prior reviews pointed out problems with the fireplace, and this will, too. Even getting the smoke going up with a torch to the flue didn't help; once the fire burns down to a less than roaring level, the flue blocks up again, filling the cabin with smoke. This needs to be addressed. Also, leaky windows remain, with the one over the kitchen letting in enough wind to blow the stove flame sideways. Granted, we were there on a cold, snowy, windy weekend, but again, needs to be addressed. Kitchen was very well stocked, furniture and beds were comfortable. I thought the cabin was much prettier in person; it looks old and dilapidated in the pics, but it was actually quite nice. I would use it again.

Cozy cabin, with nice veiws of the slopes. Nice backyard hillside for snow play in winter, but steep slope, narrow roads to access in snow & ice conditions. Awsome TV and blu ray, with HD cable and internet access. Custom shower is nice, but needs a little work, water pools on shower floor. Big wood burning fireplace.

The People in the office were great. The cabin was clean and better than I expected. Great prices. We had an excellent stay. I would definitely book through your agency again.

We really appreciated the large flat screen TV. Everything was great except the fireplace. Even with the flu open and a good fire going we couldn't get it to draft properly. The whole cabin filled with smoke and set off the smoke detector. Judging by the amount of soot on the front of the fireplace and ceiling, this is not a new problem. Fortunately the floor furnace and electric heater (provided) were adequate.

First of all we had a great time and Big Bear is a really great place to vacation. Booking and check in with cool cabins was as easy as it gets. Took about 10 minutes to check in. The cabin was located in a good area. The cabin was fairly easy to find and from the out side didn't look too inviting - looks a bit run down. There was supposed to be a BBQ grill on the back deck and the was not. There was a charcoal barbecue in the front. The place itself is cozy but needs some work. We would have enjoyed opening up the windows at night but the screen were either missing or ripped and not functional. The TV and internet connection were very good. For the price I expected better...
