Lakefront with dock and gorgeous lake views - five bedrooms, three baths plus pool table in the living room, cable TVs, DVD player, Internet, washer/dryer, and a full kitchen with stove/oven, refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, blender, toaster, coffee maker, dishes, pots/pans and more. Lots of decks with barbecue, porch swing, and picnic table.
Bedroom one has a California King bed, fireplace, cable TV, private bath, gorgeous lakeviews, and deck with picnic bench.

It was clear that housekeeping had done a lousy job; surfaces were covered in dust and grime, the carpets were not vacuumed and I even found a banana peel on the fireplace mantle. Very gross.
The cabin itself and the appliances need some attention; the bathroom door (accordion style) on the 3rd floor was broken, hanging off of it's hinges, several windows don't have screens, none of the Vcr's worked, and the dock needs to be refinished (lots of splinters!).
The location is awesome, though. Right on the lake, fishing in the morning, swimming, boating, etc. Lots of space in the cabin, high potential for "coziness"! Hopefully the owners will make the repairs, and Cool Cabins improves their housekeeping.
As things are, I would not recommend staying at this rental.

Thank you for taking your time to write this honest review. I just wanted to take a moment to respond and update you on a couple of issues that were mentioned. I went ahead and informed the head of housekeeping that this cabin needs a deeper cleaning. I also called and had an in depth conversation with the homeowner who was more than willing to work with me on fixing these matters. First off she has scheduled for carpet cleaners to come and take care of the carpets. As far as the bathroom door being off track thank you for informing us as we were not aware of this nor was the homeowner, she is having it replaced as well as the screens. Next, she is coming up this weekend to check the VCR’s and remove them if she cannot figure out the problems with them and also she is going to meet with her dock hand and see about refinishing the dock.
We do agree that the location and space is awesome! We here at Cool Cabins absolutely adore this cabin and we welcome any comments or concerns that we can use to improve it. So once again thank you for taking some time to share your thoughts and we hope to hear from you soon about coming back to visit Big Bear and stay with us! Christmas is right around the corner, what better place to stay? Give us a call anytime.

The cabin was very spacious and greatly located on the edge of the lake ... Equiped with all the necessary items for our stay.. Close to stores and touristic points.. We only had a little problem with our electricity goin off once but we called the office and they sent maintenance right up to fix it.. Very good customer support and a great place to have quite a relaxing time

The home was perfect for our family(10 people). Enough room for the adults and kids to spread out. We enjoyed the view from the porch and the multiple balconies. Pet friendly with a fenced yard for the dog was important to us.

I really like the location of the house and the fact that there was a dock for our boat, but the house itself needs a major aesthetic and comfort renovation. The beds were horrendous and extremely uncomfortable. All of the kitchen appliances are out of date and all of the furniture is waaay past its prime. It was tidied up but not necessarily clean and we had two small children there that I didn't even want crawling on the ground. This house could be great, but I will definitely not be using it again or Big Bear Cool Cabins because what we paid for that house was totally not worth it.

Lots of room in this cabin, and access to the lake right from the backyard! We loved it.
But certain rooms in the house did not get proper heating. -

the house was a great size for large groups. Its an older property but adequate. For the most part the beds were all comfortable - i love the fact that you dont have to bring linens, sponges, soaps, even toothpaste! One bed frame and one toilet needs to be fixed but i trust that will happen

The lakefront home we rented via internet was in horrible condition when we arrived late evening. This was our families first time together in Big Bear and it was a horrible experience. We call it "Our nightmare on Lakeview Street". The home was filthy dirty, never cleaned after the prior guests vacated, cold and smelly. After spending the night on sheet covered couches, we went to the office first thing the next morning to complain of the conditions. The horribly rude office manager informed us that because we signed a non-refundable contract cool cabins would do nothing to resolve our problem. We felt that the office managers treatment of us and our sitution was implorable and we asked for an apology. The office manager then suggested we vacate if we were not happy and she would "try" to re-rent the cabin. We immediately vacated the home and hope to never have another experience remotely close to this one. Our experience with the home and the staff of Cool Cabins was a nightmare
