My group consisted of (5) Adults and (7) Small Children ranging from 1-10 years of age. The ammenties where more than ideal. As all we wanted was an area for the kids to play in the snow and this cabin was more than ideal, with a large yard and plenty of private space it was perfect. The large glass windows from the living room allowed us to watch the kids from the warmth of the house. A well equipped kitchen and plenty of rooms and beds; we could not have asked for more. Where the facility lacked was cleanliness, to the naked eye it looked clean. but if you moved a chair you would find evidnece of the last guest and a stray hair here and there in the bathroom was less than appealing. but over all a good experience.

I've rented a handful cabins in Big Bear before, but none of them were as charming as Lakefront Ranch House. The interior was beautifully appointed, the bedrooms were generous in size, and the back yard was very large and private which made it great for the kids to play in the snow during the day. We made a miniature "slope" from the large side yards and the kids had a blast going up and down our makeshift slope. The view of the lake and mountains is Impecabble! The jacuzzi was the icing on the cake. During the day, it was nice to sit in the jacuzzi with a cup of coffee and enjoy the scenery and watch the kids play. A few improvements should be considered...(1) More lights in the back yard. The back yard is huge and the kids loved to play in the snow even at night; however there weren't any lights so it was quite difficult for the parents to observe the kids. (2) The upstairs bathroom has a shower door that does not close all the way, so it was difficult for some of our guests to take a shower without saturing the floor. Other than that, there were 10 of us that stayed at this cabin and we all agreed that we will book it again on our next trip to Big Bear. P.S. Big Bear Cool Cabins is by far the best company to book a cabin...I've been using them for the past 5 years and have referred them to friends and family as well. The staff is knowledgable, customer-service oriented, and extremely helpful. Keep up the great work!

This cabin is absolutely beautiful!!! The cleanliness was terrible. There were yellow dog pee stains everywhere. Bathroom had mold in showers. Broken cabinets, dog scratches behind the doors. Broken window blinds. Worst of all... dirty dishes in the cabinet. Not like just not cleaned well, they were not washed at all. Pans had grease and meat still in them. When I contracted the management company like four times, they took $200 off my bill. Big deal, I paid $900 for one night, and they gave it to me for $700. That's alot of money for the mess I had to deal with. Need I say more??They should have not charged me at all to have me rent from their company again.

This cabin is the nicest cabin my family and I have stayed at! Quiet neighborhood, went jogging through the streets, all of the houses are beautiful and the streets are quiet. No loud annoying neighbors, just friendly happy people celebrating Thanksgiving. We all had plenty of room to stretch our legs. The view is absolutely gorgeous. The humongous back patio was super amazing. All of the amenities as described, worked great! will definitely stay here again!!

What a wonderful time we had enjoying the Lakefront Ranch House, and Big Bear Lake. The house itself is tastefully decorated, has all the amenities necessary to complete your stay. And the view of the lake is just so beautiful, especially at sun-up and sundown, quite magical. Hope to have the opportunity to return!

This was an amazing lake house. It was very comfortable with beautiful views. We walked over to the marina and rented a pontoon boat. It was a very enjoyable day on the lake. Everyone enjoyed the hot-tub and the pool table. The kitchen was very well equipped; it had everything that you need. We really enjoyed the weekend and would rent this lake house again.

This is our second time renting Lakefront Ranch House.
We love bringing our family here. There is room & things to do for everyone. We had little ones with us so had to put up gates to keep them inside the patio but enjoyed the lawn area also. More towels would have been nice & ceiling fans in the bedrooms. It got quite hot upstairs. The check-in & service from Cool Cabins was excellent. We are planning on going back next year. Thank-you -

This house was perfect for our family. The interior was clean and comfortable with plenty of room to accommodate our family of 5. The master bedroom is huge with wonderful lakefront views and lots of morning sun. The deck off the back was our family room for the week. We ate meals, used the jacuzzi and hung out here everyday. The backyard leading down to the lake and dock was the perfect playground for my 6 and 9 year old children. We loved being close to the marina and could walk there for more fun on the lake.

Enjoyed my stay. We fished off the dock everyday. House was clean with just a few minor things that needed to be repaired. Not a good place for small dogs though. Too many doors to get out and they can get right through the gate and fence.

Stayed here for 5 days at the end of May, and had a great time. Great place for families. We had 2 dogs, so loved the yard and fenced in on both sides for them. Also the gate at the driveway for extra security. Loved the inside, had great flow. The deck outside was great for lounging and BBQ and dinner. Nice to have a pool table and fooz ball table also. But I also looked for a place that had both.
On the down side just a few thing, there was no mattress pad on the downstairs bed, very odd, had to use a blanked under the sheet. Could not get the DVD player to work , could not figure out how to switch from TV to DVD, written info would of helped. And then there matter of the fake indian mannequin in the entrance, every time you walked in the front door , you thought there was some one standing there, very creepy, should get rid of, and also the same with the gold prospector mannequin upstairs in the pool room, sitting in the corner. Again very creepy. But overall we had a great time and would stay again!!!

We would rent again-mostly because of yard and location!Good house for a family--great for our 3 and 8 year old--and "big kids" too. Except may not be ok for anyone with problems with animal skins and hides--they're all over and, for our group, a bit of a problem. Service was excellent--we found everyone at Cool Cabins easy to work with and responsive. And thanks for the soaps,bathroom goodies dishwashing liquid etc. already supplied--that was a nice surprise Location is perfect!!! Lakefront was lovely, the yard is fabulous for family fun (and lots of equipment and outdoor furniture available--thanks!), the side yard/dog run was great. Bathrooms in good condition-downstairs tub could use caulking. House was for the most part good for our family of 7--dining room needs more chairs--it sleeps 10 but there's only chairs for 6?? Also needs some Tlc--most of the blinds were broken,missing slats in the upstairs top bunk--making it unuseable, pool table cover was torn, some stains on the rug in upstairs small bedroom and on downstairs bedroom cover. And kitchen drawers, pots, etc. could have been cleaner. But lots and lots of plates, silverware, utensils. All in all, we were happy with the choice and would go back if those few things were taken care of.

We filled up the cabin with friends and enjoyed warm cozy nights even when it snowed on us for a day straight. The jacuzzi was vey enjoyable out on the deck overlooking the lake. We enjoyed skiing as our winter sport but we can see how this house would be an even better summer rental.

My husband and I, as well as our two dogs had a great stay at this house! We are very particular about cleanliness and "style". This house was clean and the furnishings were modern which was nice, compared to other places we have stayed at (leather couches, nice decor, great western artwork!). We especially loved the front yard which goes up to the lake with the dock. It was great for the dogs (fenced between neighboring properties). Nicely located to town, quiet. We would stay at this house again, just a couple of things to mention if you plan on staying: you have to "manually" roll up the big blinds (no strings). Carpets/throw carpets and comforters could use a cleaning, threw comforter to the side (we just stayed in master bedroom). They had a lot of nice touches in the bathrooms with the soap/shampoo/cond/lotion samples (all quality)...would love to have seen that in the kitchen by adding simple staples such as...non-stick for pans for cooking, sugar, salt etc...minor stuff (being picky). All and all, this house was fantastic and we enjoyed it very much!!

We had a wonderful stay at the lake front cabin. The view of the lake from the master bedroom deck is beautiful. The cabin worked well for 6 adults and 3 kids. We loved feeding the ducks from the dock, relaxing in the hot tub and playing pool and foosball. The cabin was comfortable and had everything we needed to prepare meals. The only minor limitation was the grill is small and charcoal, so it took a long time to cook steaks, burgers and hot dogs. Although, this was only a minor inconvenience in our fun stay.

Everything was great at the Lakefront Ranch House. Lots of kitchen equipment and we cook a lot! The matress in the upstairs spare bedroom needs replacing, some more towels(if staying more than 2 days) would be nice and the address sign was down in front of the property so it was dificult to find. Will definitly consider renting the property again. Joe alle.

Everything seemed to fall into place beautifuly. From checking in with the pleasant young girls in the office to having the most comfortable stay in a spectacular home on the lake, to even checking out. Everything was so easy.
I traveled with my sister and my two 10 year old black labs. Everyone had a great time. Pleanty of comfortable places to sit and read and enjoy the views. My dogs enjoyed the lawn and the lake even more! They were acting like puppies!
We had a problem in the kitchen, I called the office and someone was at the door in less than 30 minutes. Great service. No more Big Bear Vacation Rentals for me! -

Loved everything about the place except the lack of good curtains in the Master Bedroom, woke up every morning at 6 a.M. with the sun blaring through the window. (Nice to be able to sleep in on vacation) would highly recommend curtains or shutters that allow you to sleep past sunrise. Having said that, I would love to return to this place

I have too many great things to say about this Lakefront house! I slept like a baby in the King size bed and woke up to an amazing view of the lake and enjoyed some much needed quiet time upon the adjacent upstairs veranda. I felt like a queen in the updated bathroom and the family enjoyed watching T.V. on the large flat screen. Multiple areas were provided throughout the yard to sit and enjoy the sun, or to relax in the shade. My husband spent 8 hours a day trying to catch fish out on the dock (that is a bit shabby) but a taste of authenticity was nice. When we stayed last summer the pictures on the web site had not been updated in some time. We had both pleasant and not so pleasant surprises. The pleasant surprise was that the owners had added on to the deck area, giving much more area to eat and enjoy the spa. They also had replaced a smaller T.V. for a much bigger one in the living room. The unfortunate side was that the pictures on the website did not show all of the dead animal hides hanging on all of the walls. We wanted to stay here because of the pool table and the foosball table. Unfortunately my 6 year old would not go out on the deck because a huge buffalo head was hanging on the wall and scared him to death. The 20 dead animals hanging in the "pool room" kept him from entering this area at all. Now, you might think that my 6 year old is extremely sensitive to dead animals. However, the scream that came out of my mouth when we entered the mud room (entrance) to a unfamiliar house for the first time set the mood of fear as we were welcomed by a 6 foot tall "Indian" riding a horse in the corner along with a "Miner" waiting to greet you at the top of the stairs...Luckily they have since updated the pictures on line, so you at least know what to expect. I wish that I could say we would stay here for a week or two each summer, because it is perfect! However, my son made us promise to never go back unless they remove all of the dead animals.

As a previous cabin owner, I know how difficult it can be to keep a cabin looking presentable to renters. This cabin was absolutely perfect. From the location, to the outstanding decor, to the feeling of seclution sitting on the extended back deck enjoying morning coffee or an afternoon beverage, this cabin home was superb. Great kitchen, dining area and every bedroom had its own bath. Fenced yard for the dog and a nice lawn for them to run on made life that much easier. Thank you for sharing your home. We would definitely come back.

Service overall was good.
The home was nice and especially bringing along the dog was a bonus nice facility for pets.
Home was well furnished, pool table to big for the room to play properly.
Location wonderful.

service was excellent, the home was nice, the location was perfect, beautiful view of the lake, amenities were limited, this house needs more TVs, one thing we overlooked was that this house is pet friendly & with 4 small childred it wasn't the best choice for us, there was pet hair on the sofas & the carpet, but we had a great time, spent most of our time outdoors, we would love to come back to this house in the summer, but I don't know if we'd like to deal with the pet hair again...
