Planning this trip was the easy part, finding a home was the difficult part. Being first - time visitors of Big Bear finding a home in a great location and enough space was not going to be easy. I must say this home was just like the pictures stated roomy and fun and located in a great location. We had difficulty finding it with the directions Cool Cabins provided us but Google Maps helped. It was dissapointing to discover that one of the bedrooms was downstairs and not upstairs with the rest of the rooms. The kitchen was fully stocked with pretty much all our of necessaties. The upstairs room to the right was extremely hot we had to leave the windows open. Other than that this house is truly beautiful and unique.

Great house, perfect location, quiet, close to the lake, fresh air, clear sky that allowed us to see falling stars :)

We were recommended to Cool Cabins by a coworker. Celebrating our 30th anniversary, we needed to "get away" for a week. We couldn't have had a better time. Oktoberfest was a lot of fun, there's beautiful places to take a walk, a great downtown eating and shopping area, and the peace and quiet we were seeking. North Bay was a great choice for us, as we did have our adult children come up for a couple days. You can squeeze in up to 7 in the 3 bedrooms. Located in the trees, but not quite as close to the lake as we thought, the neighborhood was generally quiet. The home itself is lovely and the fireplace was great. Theonly drawback - I'm not sure young families would find more than a 2-3 of activities for kids(zoo is fun), before they started getting bored. The Cool Cabins staff was helpful and responsive. We would definitely go back.

This was our first time to Big Bear and staying at this cabin was perfect for a first time experience. There was enough room for the kids to play and evweryone had enough sleeping accomodations. The only draw-back was the big ants that were all over the bathroom. The kids loved it!!! though I was worried they would bite!

We enjoyed our stay! The house was clean and everything was operable. We found all the things we needed. It was nice to have the laundry detergent and sponge and soap in the kitchen. I would suggest that you include a regular sized bar of soap in the bathrooms for the showers. The tiny bar you provided wasn't sufficient for a whole week with 3 people. With the other things you did provide, it seemed odd that bathroom soap wasn't one of them. There was construction going on on the street in front the of house every day. It didn't bother us (we were not there very often during the day and we actually befriended the construction crew) but it was dirty and loud. You might keep that in mind when renting because other people might complain. Overall, we had a great experience in the house!

It was great staying at the beautiful cabin. The fresh air and quiet soroundings were just what my family needed. The only inconvinience was that theres was No ramp for family member wheelchair bound. But would definitely do it again. :)

nice cabin. good distance to the lake, village, and slopes. was hoping it was a little closer to the lake/slopes but is great. only problems we had were that most of the chairs in the cabin were broken. overall it is a nice cabin. Thanks cool cabins!

We rented this property for Thanksgiving weekend and had a very enjoyable stay. Comfortable living room sectional, fireplace, and expandable dining room table made that area of the house a great place to hang out together. Master bedroom is down about 5 stairs, other bedrooms are upstairs so the house is actually a tri-level. Master bedroom does not have any usable closet place, but overall, the house was comfortable and a great place to enjoy the snow and surrounding beauty. Read more
