Four bedroom, four bath, 2 wood burning stove fireplaces, pool table, foosball table, dart board, and children’s basketball games, cable TVs (one is a 51' Samsung), DVD players, wireless internet access, and washer/dryer. Beautifully decorated. Complete kitchen with stove/oven, refrigerator, microwave, blender, dishwasher, toaster, coffee maker, dishes, pots/pans, and more. It was my first time trying this cabin. From looking at the description and the amount of people that could stay in this cabin, I was looking forward to this cabin. However, when I got there it was not what I expected. There were several problems with the cabin. If you have a large group of people staying with you, you will have to plan out how each person is going to get a shower. There is only one water heater that is too small to accomodate 14 people, and the heat gets seeped out pretty quickly. The heat distrubution is horrible, as some of the rooms get absolutely too much heat, while the others don't get much heat at all. It gets terribly stuffy in the cabin. The only thing that kept us from absolutely hating the cabin was the time that I got to spend with my family and friends. Besides that I was pretty disappointed by the cabin.

This house is very spacious. The backyard is equipped with bbg, whirlpool, and lawn... It was awesome to see the night sky with starts in the whirlpool. The kitchen is fully equpped. The only downfall is that there is only one bathtub. The other bathroom has a shower stall. But the two other restrooms have toilets only.

We really liked the interior of the home, the lay out and all that is available as well as the exterior of the home with all the flowers, and wonderful landscaping both in the front yards of the home. The location is great, with a very peaceful street, and just distant enough from everything to feel like you are away from it all, yet close enough to the stores to make for a short trip to get groceries or dump trash.

We recently stayed here with 3 other couples and our children. There was more than enough space for everyone. I loved the fact that there were two different living spaces. It allowed the adults to hang out in one room while the kids were in the other. The house was much nicer and bigger than the pictures made it seem. I would absolutely stay here again.

A Jack and Tens is a nice place to stay although it is beginning to show wear and tear. The kitchen needs a lot of work, i.e. drawers are falling apart, lots of random stuff in cabinets, could use a good cleaning. It should be made more clear that the house does have 4 bathes but only two have showers so if you have 14 people, you really only have 2 full bathes. We had a major ant issue this time and when we called, they told us they would leave ant spray for us to spray because they weren't allowed to spray themselves. Couches and rugs had burn holes. As for the trip insurance...I don't recommend it, it only works if someone dies or is hospitalized. We had 6 people cancel at the last minute and wanted to rent a smaller cabin, we were told "no." When I purchased the ins. I was told that "if for any reason" we wanted to cancel it would not be a problem with the insurance, we didn't want to cancel, we just wanted a smaller place. I ended up picking up the other $816.00 for the people who cancelled plus my share. Not cool!! If you book, don't buy insurance!!

Heating system is good in back part of house, but not good in main living rooom and kitchen. If the night were extremely cold it would be a problem. Downstairs tub/shower in poor repair/ TV/cable system should be put on one system---you need to know how a system works to get it operating in every room. Tv in living room looks like it is on last legs--green picture. It's a good rental, but some things need to be put in better condition.

We've seen the pictures online, but they don't do this place any justice! There were a total of 4 families that share this property for 2 nights and there was more than enough room to accommodate us all. We brought CDs to listen to on the cool stereo while playing pool, the kids brought their game consoles to play games in the play room, the free wifi let us check our emails, the hot tub was a great way to relax and the kitchen was sized right. The only exception was the kitchen eating area. I think the table and chairs that were chosen to be there were too big, but hey, just stick the smaller kids in there and the adults can eat in the dining area!
The large windows overlooking backyard were perfect so we could be inside but let the kids play outside! The back yard is serene and we saw a coyote and rabbit while were there. The neighborhood is quite and secluded but close enough to the main part of town so you're not totally isolated. There are other Big Bear Cool Cabin rentals on the street as well as local residents.

Pros: Nice comfortable home, lots of room, loved the pool table, hot tub, fenced yard. Rental agency very responsive and easy to work with.
Cons: Home needs a deep cleaning. Heating/cooling system is hard to regulate--often hot or cold. Bathroom downstairs needs repair on shower/bath cut-off--when taking shower most of the water runs down faucet instead of going to shower. We enjoyed the rental and were extremely pleased with the amount of beds considering it was an all guys trip. Walkways could have been cleared prior to our arrival but it wasn't much of an issue. Did have an issue with the hot tub warming up but that could have been lack of preparation on our part. Not sure.

We enjoyed our stay. The place was fairly clean...the kitchen was not stocked very well with pots, pans and utensils. Vent over stove was extremely dirty. I think that was the only thing wrong. Our stay was excellent and I think we would definitely stay there again. My only complaint was having to wait so late to get in, we wasted a day of skiing because we had no where to change. Other than that it was excellent.

We had a great time at two of you cabins. We went with our Girl Scout troop of 14 teenagers and 8 adults. We went jet ski riding and zip lining. We had a lot of fun. this was our 2nd annual Big Bear Retreat. See you again next year.
