Rambo's Retreat is a cute and sweet single story cabin in quiet setting, yet is central to all the attractions that Big Bear Lake can offer. The home has 1 bedroom and 1 bath with a basic kitchen with a microwave and dining area with seating at the table and a comfortable relaxed living room with a wood stove, TV/DVD. The bedroom has a king size bed, TV/DVD/VCR and private full bath. The entry out to the fenced back yard offers the slope views of Snow Summit and a deck with a charcoal BBQ plus the yard is great for snow or summer play. The cabin was bigger and nicer than we thought. However, there were a few stains on the floor and the heater wasn't very responsive to the thermostat.

This is a very comfortable little house to stay in. It was quite clean and had surprisingly a lot of room for a one bedroom.
Conveniently close to a pharmacy, steak house and slopes, all of which were a couple minutes and one or two traffic lights away.

Mattresses were horrible, half of the cabin was hot and the other half was freezing, too cold to properly use the bathroom, flooring was horribly stained throughout, terribly dusty everywhere, DVD and cable not hooked up properly, overall disappointing

Nice quiet place. Good front curb parking. The front door was hard to open. The lock needs Wd40. Spacious living room with comfortable sofa bed. We enjoyed watching The President's Cup on the golf channel with the flat screen TV. The central heater/furnace was noisy. We had to turn it off the second night when we went to bed and the heat does not reach the bedroom anyway.It was cold in the bedroom. Nice clean bed linens though. There were certain areas in the carpet that looks dirty. There is no dishwasher and the oven is not working.
Big Bear Vacations staff are all very nice and accommodating. They are easy to work with. -

This place was decent. My biggest complaint was the shower. It was a claw tub with a curain that went around it. There was no where to set soap, shampoo, razors, etc other than putting them on the floor. And there were a few lights in the house that didn't work, some of them dangling by wires.

This was a great place! Much bigger than anticipated!! Large family room and kitchen made it very comfortable! Ans well as large bedroom. Great backyard and front parking. So convenient and easy!

I picked this place to stay with our pug puppy for the night. I reviewed the prior ratings, photos, etc. The cabin was beautifully described. The pictures really do depit it just as it is. It was very comfortable, tons of room, the bed was awesome, the yard spacious, the kitchen like being in your own. We found it very cozy and would go back and stay again. It is very close and in the middle of everything you might want to do up there. It also was in a great neighborhood, safe and quiet.

Not bad. Make sure yiu check the batteries on the smoke detector. Our dog was keeping us up all night because one of the smog detectors in a closed of room next to our bed room kept on beeping every 2 minutes.

the cabin was everything I wanted, and would consider renting it again next summer, next time for two months instead of one. Have been waiting for a requested call from the rental company to discuss the possibility for a week now. Only thing lacking was internet access.

Having carpet in the bathroom is not a good idea, overall kind of dusty and didnt seem like the cleaning service did an adequate job.

The cabin was okay, clean for the most part. There was trash left in the bathroom and the coffee pot was full of old coffee grounds. Nothing too serious. The biggest bummer was that there was no DVD player in the living room, only the bedroom. We rented movies to watch at night with our son and couldn't watch them in the comfort of the living room. We also had some critters visit us on Saturday night under the house...lots of scary noises...but again we are in the mountains, right!

We loved everything about the cabin. The checking in & out was very easy. I loved that they delivered the wood to our door, the cabin had everything we needed to cook and clean. Very comfortable for children. The only thing is that it had a leaky faucet. But we would so definitely rent here again : )

The home was decorated cute and had all the amenities one needs to cook. Very comfortable bed and nice, little fenced backyard for my dogs. The claw foot tub was a plus, too. We'll be back.

From the big wooden deck in the back, big comfortable living
room nice full kitchen, big bed room, this was our 4th rental
