Description from the manager
Moosehead II is a very basic home with 3 bedrooms and two baths on the water of Big Bear Lake with lagoon views. The kitchen has a microwave and a nice dining area. The living room has a TV and some furnishing, there is a gas fireplace. The master bedroom has a kingsize bed and the 2nd bedroom has twin bunk beds and the 3rd has a king size bed. The deck has awesome lagoon views and offers a charcoal BBQ. The home is located across the street from Shore Acres Lodge and offers you the use the Seasonal pool and spa, and use the dock and beach area.Good pets are welcome.

Received good service and turnaround at the BBV office.
The home had plenty of space for the two of us and our 2 pom's.
It rained off and on that weekend but that was ok.
We liked the idea of being near the water with some view of it.
We did notice the carpet still has not had its stains removed although we saw this in other users comments.
Was disappointed that we had no dock access even though were right there on the water had we rented a pontoon boat or such.
We notified the office but the owners s/b made aware that the refridgerator leaked from the freezer into the refridgerator section.
Also the garbage disposal leaked below.
The TV control in the front room is not the one in the instruction sheets. We had to jury rig to try and watch dvd's we rented and almost could not watch!
We wished the kitchen had a couple measuring cups. It had tons of dishes and all but no meas cups.
We would have sat out nearer the water had the landscaping been taken better care of. The weeds etc had not been taken care of for some time.
In general it was ok but could be even better with some effort.
We would use again, but would have to negotiate a better price knowing what we know now.
It can be difficult to get a real feel for a place even on the internet until you are in it.
We did look around the Mallard Lagoon and see some opportunities for future visits.

We really thought the rental was in great shape. We had our pet with us and to this day has never urinated on our carpeting so we thought it would be okay to take her with us. Because the carpet in the rental had been urinated on before, we had to keep her outside. The carpet needs to be cleaned thouroughly, for sure. Other than that we had a great time for the short time we stayed.

We chose this cabin because it was waterfront and our kids like to fish. When we arrived we noticed the carpet in the cabin hadn't been vaccumed in what looked like months. There was literally dirt, sand and crumbs in the carpet. The add shows a whirlpool tub in the photos. When we tried to use it the jets projected out nothing but black flakes into the water. Many outlets in the cabin did not work. The towels that were provided had hair and stains all over them as did the bedsheets. The refrigerator had a huge water leak and saturated all of our groceries. The dining room chairs all had broken legs and couldn't even be trusted to hold up a small child. The bbq grill was literally disintegrated and unusable not to mention a fire hazard. Garbage disposal did not work. About the only thing this cabin has going for it is it's location. Upon checkout we notified Big Bear Vacations of the issues. The young girl behind the counter couldn't have cared less.

Me and my wife and dog stayed here and it was a great vacation. The house is nice and its right on the lake in a quiet area. I wish it had air conditioning and a dryer, but other than that it was great.

My wife and myself and our kids enjoyed the home, it reminded
me of grandma's house. Beds were comfy, fully
equippped kitchen and a weber bbq outside
( needed a good cleaning)
The house is at the end of the lagoon , so if you had a kayak you can pull up right in front
of the house. Very nice setting
There were small televisions in the bedrooms,
but a very large living room with lots of
seating.
