We came up for a few days before Thanksgiving and had an awesome experience in the cabin. It was very cozy and clean! Beds were very comfy! We will definitely request this cabin the next time we go back to Big Bear. Great location. Close to everything but not in a high traffic area.

We have used Cool Cabins several times before, and have always been satisfied with their rentals and their services. This stay, however, was special because they went the extra mile on my request to upgrade the TV cable service. They could've simply said that this wasn't possible, but instead contacted the owner, who agreed to make the change with Charter Cable. Believe me, that made our evenings a lot more enjoyable. We plan on returning next year, and will try for this same rental.
We had a great time at Creekside!!

Checking in was a breeze! We received our information and got to Creekside and was pleasantly surprised. It does need a little updating, but it was comfy and cozy. The master king size bed was awesome! It was so comfortable!!! Everything was in working order, which was fabulous! I had a bad experience with another cabin we rented a couple years ago (from a different mgmt. co.-- horrible experience!). I don't have anything negative to say about Creekside and/or the mgmt. co. Enjoyed the deck, and the gas BBQ. My family and I had a great time! I would stay at Creekside again. Thanks!!
Very nice place to stay

The cabin had everything that we needed, was very well decorated, great location, the air hockey table was a great plus. We were unable to use the hot water in the upstairs bathroom sink as the facuet did not work, the deck was very nice the railing needs to be more secure, it was not very safe. Overall the cabin was very comfortable, a great place to stay.

This is the second time we have stayed at the Creekside Cabin with our adult children. With 10 inches of fresh snow, the scenery was fresh and beautiful. While the boys had to shovel the snow to get to the front door, this was done quickly and easily. Our 3 day/2 night stay was warm and cozy, and we appreciated the new futon in the living room as a 4th bed. The location offers close access to the 2 ski areas where our boys spent the day and evening for night skiing. Supermarket, shops and village are also only minutes away. We kept cozy by a warm, roaring fire, cooked meals in the fully equipped kitchen (and BBQ on the deck), and enjoyed the air hockey table upstairs. This cabin is cozy and tastefully decorated with comfortable beds, an is stocked with everything you could need. We would highly recommend and will definitely stay again. Thank you
Great family cabin!

Perfect location and great property. The only issue is that our key wasn't in the lock box upon arrival. We had to wait about 20 mins for the office to bring it over.

The cabin was nice, clean, and spacious. Only a couple of board games - so if your family likes to play board games, bring your own. But, the air hockey table kept the family entertained. Wished there was a phone for local calls, as cell reception is very limited. The kitchen has limited cooking pots and pans. Luckily, we brought our own. The kids were able to "sled" on the gentle downward slope in the backyard. Overall, comfortable cabin. Read more
Thank you for leaving us your feedback! We just wanted to update you and let you know that we did contact the homeowner and inform them about there not being very many pots and pans, so they did go ahead and purchased new ones for the cabin. We are so happy to heat that you enjoyed your stay at Creekside Cabin aside from the few minor issues you listed. We sincerely hope you will give us a call when you are ready to come visit our beautiful city again so we can find you another great Cool Cabin!

We stayed over the Christmas holiday...Great house, roomy and decently furnished. The firewood we ordered was placed ready by the beautiful fireplace and the two heaters (one upstairs and the other in the living room) provided plenty of warmth. The air hockey table was fun, but the X-box was no longer offered as we booked this trip in august. The only thing that would've made the trip better would be new mattresses and bedding/towels. The beds are pretty bad :(
The kitchen had a dishwasher, and a large dining table that seats 6. Plenty of room to come in from the snow and warm up! Very close to shopping etc. All in all we had a fun time!

First time taking a trip to big bear, always wanted to rent a cabin in the woods but I was always afraid of the possible scams and bad service that a lot of people encounter. I can honestly say that it was one of the best choices that I have made in a long time. I rented a privately owned cabin with BB cool cabins website called Creekside Cabin. I took my family and we truly had a blast, the cabin looked exactly like the pictures and all the reviews were accurate, location was close to a Von's and a CVS not to mention the rest BB has to offer but not too close that you lose that woodsy feeling. If you are a first timer you will enjoy peace of mind renting this cabin, just make sure you brush up on your driving skills a little because the road to get to BB and the cabins driveway require some skill haha, but that was not a big deal we were in the wild I did not expect "hollywood" comforts.
Exceeded my expectations!

I was so pleasantly surprised to see how "at home" we felt here. I chose the house/cabin based on location, layout, decor, and how clean it looked in the photos. Well, this rental exceeded my expectations! I didn't want to leave! I don't see how anyone could possibly have one real complaint about this house and all the ammenities included - we shall be back!!!

From the time of booking our trip it went smooth. Check in was easy and quick , we were even able to check in early. The cabin was perfect there were 4 adults, 1 child and enough room for more. The rooms were a good size, there was 1 mattress when you laid down did do the dip in the middle. The living room was nice and roomy, one of the couches is a bit worn but the chair was so comfortable . Kitchen was spacious had just what we needed but we did not cook much. The coffee pot is a 2 cup pot so if you need more than that bring your own. Having 2 full bathrooms was a big plus. The back of the cabin was surrounded by beautiful trees. The yard is not fenced so if you have dogs you can't just let them out. It is close to everything ...this is a nice cabin and good location.

I was tempted to leave a bad review in an attempt to keep Creekside Cabin a hidden gem. Unfortunately, I must rave about our experience! Our stay was met with more than we expected. The cabin was spacious and accommodated all seven of us very comfortably. The view was great and the morning greeting from the neighborhood woodpeckers was more than welcome! Our children enjoyed the creek and the opportunity to explore out back. The grill afforded us an opportunity to cook the trout we caught out on the lake. The misses and I are considering a return stay, but just the two of us!

Our stay at Creekside Cabin was perfect for our family weekend at Big Bear. It was a chance to spend time with our 2 children and their boy/girlfriends who are all in their 20's. After making reservations online, the check-in service was quick and easy. We found the cabin to be exactly as pictured, tastefully decorated, clean, well stocked with all the basic needs and and plenty of room for our group of 6 adults. Everyone loved the space and the air hockey table was the first to get action. We cooked all our meals and were appreciative to have the dishwasher! The weather was cold, but heaters along with the fireplace kept us warm and cozy.
As for location, this place was ideal. We were centrally located and close to shopping, ski resort and the Village, but not on a main road, so there wasn't a lot of traffic. It was lovely to have only open space and trees behind the house, with a great deck to enjoy it. We also took advantage of the BBQ on our first night.
We were looking for an affordable, comfortable, homey place to spend a family weekend. What we liked best about Creekside is that we had plenty of room for 6 adults with 2 bdrms and 2 bthrms, space for everyone to sit in the living room and at the kitchen table, and enough room that we weren't bumping into each other. We will definitely consider returning in either summer or winter.

This cabin is cute, well stocked and well maintained. Everything was working and there were all the essential amenities. The decor was cute and very "Big Bear". It slept six people comfortably. I liked that we were able to order fire wood and it was at the cabin when we got there. My only complaint was the couch that sucked you in.
I highly recommend this cabin for a small group. We had a great time!

This was our first time being in Big Bear and we fell in love with the city and the people! We stayed there for 2 nights and had a wonderful time! The cabin had everything we needed and most importantly was very clean. Big family kitchen, cozy living room with a fireplace, nice patio and endless backyard that was so much fun to explore. The only downside of the stay was that there was no shovel and we had to ask neighbors to borrow theirs. Also the gas in the grill finished right in the middle of our barbecue so we had to move everything to the oven. It would be nice to replace the smaller couch in the living room, it's about time. But those are little things and we'll be sure to stay in that cabin again.

This cabin was comfortable for six adults. We were surprised to find paper towels, a sponge, and trashbags left for us when we arrived. That was a nice touch.
The cabin was clean but the paint could use some touching-up. The beds were surprisingly comfortable.

We loved the cosy cabin - perfect family kitchen. Fire and living room were fun, location was perfect. Loved having a glass of wine on the back deck - very peaceful.
Great except for road noise

The cabin is in a beautiful setting but too close to a main road so there is road noise when you sit outside. Lovely cabin otherwise.

The house was very nice, large enough for the family of four. It was clean and had cute interior. We loved the gas grill and the air hockey table. The location was perfect, very close to the village and a grocery store. The house had a good size deck and an open foresty backyard. I have to say, I am a picky traveler, but this house was all perfect! We will be back!!!

The only complaint I would have is the steep driveway. I stayed in the winter and the drive was icy and a little dangerous but it was a great house!

My family and I enjoyed our weekend stay recently at the Creekside cabin in Big Bear. From a snowball fight amongst the trees and creek behind the cabin, to a family air hockey tournament, to a short walk to the lake, to a warm fire while watching movies at night, the Creekside cabin was a great place to spend a few restful days.

Good Value with some minuses
Left on 04/14/2011 for a stay in April 2011 | mgoh
We are happy with the overall value and amenities. Here are some minuses:
1. We had to wait over2 hours for the cleaners to complete cleaning the property before we can use the house. But Jackie handled it well by offering later check out.
2. Driveway is quite steep & difficult to park 2 cars. One of our cars scraped the tarmac due to sharp slope at the top of the driveway.
3. Dryer took forever to dry.
4. Mattress was uncomfortable.
5. Woodpecker pecks outside of house at 5am.

This was so easy. So worth it b/c of the full kitchen and huge washer and dryer. Nice yard, nice deck, full sized air hockey table. So many nice touches. Tv sound system better than ours at home! Nice proximity to shopping, restaurants, and both major ski resorts. We will definitely be back.

No cell service in this cabin
iPod dock is not that easy to figure out so I would take my own dock although we got it to work it just took a long time because it is not user friendly
Master bedroom is chilly
Oven is an older model but works
Overall great cabin. I look forward to making this trip an annual tradition for my friends and I and we intend to stay at this cabin everytime as long as it is available.

Everything is great about this cabin. We had 4 ppl and it was perfect. The backyard view is fantastic and makes you feel very secluded (even though you have neighbors). The only slight inconvenience was that the driveway hadn't been plowed or shoveled yet so we had to call the office and wait for the plow to arrive before we could park, which surprisingly, only took about 15 minutes. I highly recommend Creekside Cabin and we'll be returning next year for sure.
