I absolutely loved the cabin! Everything was so nice! Beds were a little hard but I like them that way. The only negative I have to say is that we had to pay a cleaning fee but do our own dishes? Why did I pay if I had to do the cleaning?

This place was a very great place to stay in it really felt like I was at home a very nice quiet area everything I need it was available for us to use. The only one thing tthat could of better my stay here was if the other bedroom were the bunk beds were had a television. Other then that this place is a great and top choice can't wait to visit this place agaun and stay in the same cabin. Enjoy

We stayed 4 nights at the Rincon cabin in March. We had an absolute blast! Cool Cabins made it extremely easy to check in and out. The dog and kids loved the big, oversized yard! The property was secluded enough for our privacy, yet close enough to walk to azteca, Mill Creek Manor Tea House, Alpine Slide, and Pine Knot trail. The house was the perfect size for the 4 of us and a dog. The kitchen was big enough for 2 of us to cook and clean at the same time. Plenty of couch space in the living room. Both bedrooms were good size for us and suitcases. The bathroom was nicely updated. Loved the laundry room outside in its own room. The only things I would suggest would be to: clean the vent at the top of the stairs, and change the shower liner--they were both a little dirty. Also the mattress in the master bedroom was very hard. Those changes would make it perfect! We will be back to stay at Rincon!

I read reviews about the first floor not heating well. I brought my own portable heater and was very cozy. The cabin is very nice. My dog had a lot of fun. The yard is pretty big with plenty of trees trees. The cabin is conveniently located within walking distdance of a market and the aztec Grill Mexican restaurant. If you're visiting in the winter, bring a portable heater for downstairs. I'll try to come back in the summer. Will rent again.

the Cabin was nice and clean, no complaints. the only small issue was the heating, upstairs get hot very fast and downstairs stays cold the two vents downstairs dont really warm up the place unless you blast the heat high. other than that everything was great!

This cabin was great if you want your animals to have a great vacation versus you! The yard was a big and fully fenced, great for animals! However, the inside of the cabin lacked in many ways. The heating was terrible, we froze downstairs and overheated upstairs. The thermostat was upstairs and most of the heating vents. You had to crank the heat to 80 plus degrees to feel any heat downstairs. The floors downstairs (tile) were freezing cold, could not walk barefoot on them. The lighting was horrible. Needs better lighting. The carpet upstairs was disgusting. Would not walk barefoot on the carpet. Finally, the matress in the master bedroom was so hard it was almost unbearable to sleep on. I slept on the couch and froze because all the heat was upstairs!! Would never rent this cabin again and would not recommend to others unless some very important upgrades took place such as adequate heating and new carpet. Read more
Thank you we will definitely mention those items to the owner and see what is going on with the heat, thank you for letting us know!

The cabin: cozy, fully equipped, very clean, private, perfect!! Had a great time, we were celebrating my wife's birthday and it was a great weekend. Enjoyed the hot tub, the deck with grill, it was a very pleasant experience. Loved the huge fenced yard, it was perfect for my dogs to run and play.
A couple of things I would suggest: change the pillows, not very comfortable and the master bedroom's mattress a little hard, not totally comfortable.
The customer service: not very friendly, dull.
The overall experience was very good, loved this cabin and definitely will come back!!!

We are a family of 4 (+ 1 dog) from la and were looking to have one last Summer vacation close to home but also in a place that felt like we truly "got away." Well, this cabin was it! Secluded, cozy and close to everything. We took the kids to the alpine slide, water slide, go-carts, bowling, movie, on the lake in a boat, fishing at Boulder Bay and into town for shopping. I loved the fact that we could bring our dog and that I could cook in the full service kitchen and that we could play many hours of UNO and Texas Holdem' on the nice size kitchen table. The hot tub was a great place to relax and enjoy the large yard and beautiful stars. I suppose the only negative (and why I gave only 4 stars) is that there is only one, very small bathroom. Other that that,
I would definitely recommend this cabin and I can't wait to
go back to Big Bear and stay there again!

The cabin was perfect and very nicely prepared. It felt like a home more than a cabin and it was very cozy. The only issue was that it had been described as being within walking distance to town and the lake which really wasn't the case. The light outside was broken and being how dark it is at night, that would have been nice if it was fixed but otherwise it was really nice and we will rent again for our next Big Bear adventure.

The cabin was great, and was a very nice property. The fenced yard was perfect for our two small dogs to run around, and the cabin had everything one could ask for. The spa was relaxing after a 7.5 mile hike (trail head within easy walking distance) and I would recommend this cabin without hesitation.

Really enjoyed the fenced yard for our dog and young boys who could run around without us having to keep a strict eye on them. Very close to Big Bear Blvd. which was convienant yet presented constant traffic noise (take the good with the bad, I guess). The cabin was clean and had enough amenities for our stay, even a washer/dryer. All in all, I can recommend this cabin completely.

The cabin had everything needed, was clean and comfortable. Kitchen was well stocked. Our big "escape artist" dog could not get over the fence. The yard was huge and allowed the dogs to run off-leash for fetch. There was no fireplace or fire pit - a little disappointing, but we were able to BBQ. A little bit pricey for the accomodations. Would definately stay here again - mainly for the yard.

We have made it our point to go to Big Bear every Memorial Day Weekend. This cabin is very clean, and perfect size for our family. Everything is fully stocked with all the amenities that you will need. Kids loved playing around the cabin, and it comes with two decks downstairs with table and chairs. We would definitely stay here again.
Nice Yard - Cold Cabin
Left on 05/02/2013 for a stay in April 2013 | Katie
If you are under 30, and like to hang outside with your friends, this may be the place for you. The yard is great, as stated. It is securely fenced, well treed, with nice decks and plenty of lawn furniture. The previous reviews are not accurate in regards to the cabin. The stone floors are impressive; however, this very small cabin had a cold and industrial feel. The cabin was very clean, but the kitchen was not well stocked at all - no spoons, pots and pans in very poor condition. There is only one bathroom, upstairs. The forced air heating works; however, with the stone flooring the downstairs never gets comfortable, even after the upstairs is stifling. There is a washer and dryer in a separate laundry room. This cabin just was not a good fit for us (over 55). Very disappointing. Read more
Thank you for leaving us your feedback of Rincon Cabin. We will definitely call the homeowner and ask the to purchase some new kitchen supplies for the cabin, we will also suggest perhaps buying an area rug for the floors down stairs. We apologize if you did not find the cabin suitable or if it did not meet your expectations. Please give us a call if you ever decide to visit Big Bear again as we have added a discount to be used in the future for the inconveniences.

This property is awesome! The huge gated yard that the dogs could run all around safely and in and out of the house was the best. I have never seen them so happy! The kitchen is great and has everything you need. ( except a strainer) ---Bring one from home if you will be cooking pasta!;) I cooked all of our meals and had a blast. We never went out to eat once. We brought groceries from home and anything we forgot we picked up at the mart literally at the end of our road. Little pricey but super convenient. It was a easy 5 minute drive to snow summit where we ski'd both Friday and Saturday. It was just the two of us so we never used the other room with the bunk beds. Great shower and great water pressure. The heat worked great so they must've fixed it. The cable downstairs was awesome my man watched a bunch of sports the whole weekend. The TV upstairs needs some help the channels were hard to navigate through but it did the job. The back patio is great and is just off the kitchen via a sliding door. That is where he used the charcoal BBQ and we had our breakfast and coffee in the morning. I highly reccomend this property as it was clean and very cozy. We fell asleep cuddling on the couch after skiing all day by 730pm tops both nights! I love this cabin and we will be back. Having very busy lives in la I haven't felt this relaxed in a long time. :) This pad was the perfect getaway.

We had a group of 5 adults and a Golden Retriever and we fit perfectly into the cabin. It is a little chilly on the main floor of the cabin, but very warm and comfortable in the upstairs bedrooms when sleeping. The yard was huge and fenced in, so our dog had a great time. Cabin is everything it is described to be. No suprises. Check in and out are very easy. About a 5 minute drive to Snow Summit and the Village shopping!

Great cabin. Perfect for our dog and us (we have a husky and needed high fence that was secure so we could leave here there when we went out and this was perfect). Way bigger yard than pictures show. Can walk to alpine Slide and the village and plenty of other bars and restaurants. It's close to action but also quiet and behind the main road where you still feel like you are in the woods. Nice decor compared to other places I've stayed at and bigger kitchen. Great deal.

We enjoyed our stay. The house was the perfect size for my family of 5. My girls loved playing in the big yard. We decided to bring our dog with us next time. It was very peaceful sitting on the back deck at night roasting marshmallows and playing games. If I had to pick 1 or 2 things to say I didn't like, which is hardly anything. It would be, on the upper deck, way too many spider webs that you can't sit out there & the bunk beds in the second room are way too close to each other. If you're clostraphobic, you can't use the bottom bunk. Other than that, everything was great.

Service was wonderful, quick and easy. The home is better than what you see in the pictures. The yard was massive! It was like you had a little mini forest in your front yard. Perfect for our dog! Location is great. You can walk to nearby hiking trails. The lake is a very close car ride. There are plenty restaurants and markets within walking distance for all of your needs. We loved the cabin and the fact we could have our dogs with us. The kitchen has all that you may need to prepare a meal and the rest of the cabin was comfortable. I would recommend the area rug in the family room be replaced, since too many dogs have left their mark on it. We had to roll it out due to the smell. Other than that, it was a really nice stay and we would request this cabin again on our next stay in Big Bear!

The house itself was really nice, loved the tile floors and decks in front and back. The large fenced yard was perfect as we brought our two dogs and they had plenty of room to run and play and discover. The neighborhood did get quiet after 10 pm so sleeping was not an issue. We would have liked a half bath on the bottom floor but the bathroom upstairs was clean and spacious. We had brought fans so the absence of ceiling fans on the second floor was not an issue either. It might have been too warm without the fans at the beginning of sleep time. We enjoyed the community, fishing, boating on Bear Lake and hiking. This is not a rental for older folk or anyone that has disabilities since the only bathroom is on the second floor. But it is perfect for families with children and pets. There were four adults on this visit and we had plenty of room. I hope to come back again sometime and would not hesitate using Cool Cabins as a site for vacation rentals.

The total experience with the Cool Cabin staff and the cabin was awesome. We went up with our 2 dogs and had the time of our lives. Excellent for dogs and kids. Open the doors and let the doggies roam...no problem at all. 15 or so large trees in the yard with 2 downstairs patios with chairs, tables, etc. Plenty of good cooking gear, plates, etc. It was nice to see that other renters left extra stuff (salt, pepper, bags, etc). We used some and leave some of our stuff. This is a very cozy place. It does get a little cooler upstairs, however is probably only an issue in the middle of the winter. I found out that I can only use 2000 words, so just let me tell you that it is just what the doctor (and vet) ordered. We will be back within the next month or so. Thanks Cool Cabins for the excellent service and for helping us pick this cabin!

We spent a long weekend at the cabin just after a snow fall and we had a blast. The large fenced in yard was great for our small dog and for our two young kids, 8 and 5, to play in the snow without leaving the property. The inside was clean and comfortable. We read some of the other reviews before going so we took a small space heater for the kids room upstair and that was perfect. Our room was a bit cold but that was managable. The location is great, close to town. Overall we had a wonderful time and we will probably stay there again, winter, summer, or whenever.

We stayed in mid February. Cold but not too cold. We knew about the upstairs heating problem, so we took a small portable heater. It worked very well for warming up our bedroom. Nice yard for the dog. Everything worked. Tv in master bedroom was a nice touch. The only real negative about the cabin was the fact that the bathroom was upstairs.

This is a cozy little place for a family of 4, we had some gues come up for the day to play in the snow and it was a bit crowded.
Major con, we stayed in the winter, so the heater was on since it was 30 degrees outside so it was cold, the heat does not go upstairs, so the downstairs is hot and I mean hot and soon as you go up stairs and you you hit the fourth step you feel the cold so it was like night and day from downstairs to upstairs. We had to call the office and requeest more blankets to sleep at night.
Besides that it was nice fenced yard which you can lock so the kids can play outside and you dont have to worry about them leving the yard.
Would we stay here again maybe we might try it in the summer, but winter maybe we are thinking we like to have something with heat upstairs

We had a fabulous time in this cabin! It was well equipped with all kitchen items, bbq, patio furniture, etc. It's a very large lot which is completely fenced. This is perfect for pets and small children who like to play outside - plenty of roaming space within the secure, fenced area. We had no problem with the heating system - we were comfortable both downstairs & upstairs. The cabin is walking distance to a few restaurants & store, which we enjoyed doing. But not too close to create city/people noise. At night, it was very quiet & peaceful. It's also close to the lake - although the fish weren't biting for us, the family next to us caught several large, beautiful trout!! We'll plan on this cabin for another stay!!

Very nice cabin. It was clean and well equipped with most of the kitchen gadgets I use at home. Everything (pots, dishes, etc.) was in good condition. Good location: walking distance to one of the snow intertubing / water slide and play areas and less than a 10 minute drive to the slopes, although it's not in a ritzy part of town to be sure, if that matters to you. We brought our puppy and he had a ball in the big, fenced yard. The one main problem is that the heater made the downstairs really toasty while the upstairs didn't get much heat. It was livable with opening a window to balance things out, but not ideal. It's not terribly big but that made it nice and cozy with 2 adults and 3 kids.

Great comfortable cute cabin, but the heating system was a problem (forced air heater on the bottom floor so bottom floor was too hot and top floor too cold). Also, we were told by the neighbors that the cabin had snow-plow service, but the driveway wasn't plowed and it was difficult to shovel ourselves out! Otherwise, a great stay!
