Loved the view and lake access. Cabin was spacious. Not the cleanest, furniture was kind of shabby. One bedroom had no tv and in another the DVD was broken. We had ants in one bathroom, had to go get bug spray. Also no gas barbque! We brought steaks and had to cook them in the ovena, too expensive for what we ended up with. Pictures on the Internet looked a lot better than what the cabin really was. Office people were good though, check in was fast.

Pros: We found the check in process very easy. The house was exactly what we needed for two boys, myself, my husband and mother in law. It was close enough to town to get to the grocery store,etc. Located in a very quiet area without alot of traffic. The kitchen was well stocked. The view was awesome.
cons: The place was a bit dusty and not all jets worked in the hot tub. -

This house is great, this is the second summer we have stayed in it. Kitchen was just completely redone,and stocked with everything you need to cook a home made meal. The dock is great the water is deep enough to actaully park a boat there. (unlike some other rentals) Very close to the village. Wifi works, cable tv in 2 different rooms.
This house is so spread out, none of the bedrooms have common walls, and with the roll away beds tucked in the closets, you could easily fill this house to capacity and not feel cramped. There is a washer and dryer that actually work. Plenty of parking.
I would have given 5 stars but there is no lighting on the back of the house and with the stairs leading down to the dock and lower patio this can be dangerous for small kids at night. -

Enjoyed my stay. Thank you so much. Check in was very easy and friendly. We really enjoyed the home and its location as well as the amenities. The best thing about this home was its location to the lake. It was great.

Unfortunately I was I satisfied. None of the Tv's in the room had a remote. There were several lights out in the outside patio and the hall and in the hallway and wash room. The living room and kitchen area get good heating but not the rooms. Overall the cabin needs some updating and more attention to detail.

The cabin only had one review when I booked it, so I was a bit uneasy when I reserved it. I asked the staff a few questions about the accommodations and I felt reassured. The cabin was absolutely perfect for the 8 of us and our lab. It had a dock for our boat that was well maintained. The cabin was big, cozy and had enough space for us to feel relaxed. There were a couple of things I should complain about, however. Based on the reviews of several other Cool Cabins I figured the cleanliness of the cabin would be below standards and I was right. The couches smelled like sweaty cheese feet. We used our blankets to cover them. (Should have brought the Febreeze.) The curtains had an inch of dust piled on them and there were cob webs everywhere. The floors were dirty and we found trash from the previous tenants including diapers on the premise. Gross! The beds were comfortable enough for a 2 night stay and the wall heaters in the bathrooms were great. The jacuzzi only got up to 92 degreese for some reason. It wasn't warm enough for the adults but the kids seemed to enjoy it. The kitchen supplies were lacking in supply, only one hand towel and no wash cloth. We didn't call the staff to complain because we didn't want to move to another cabin and didn't want to wait for them to clean. We will stay in the cabin again, however we will expect it to be cleaned properly. Big Bear Cool Cabins should fire their cleaning crew immediately, especially since most of the reviews from all of their cabins have bad reviews on the cleanliness.

We actually had a different cabin at first, but with the heavy weather our van just could not make it up the various steeps hills without sliding backwards. We called Cool Cabins and they had us come in and set us up right away with this cabin instead.
The view is insane. Very pretty 180 deg view of the lake. While the cabin is much older interior than our previous cabin selection, it was quite spacious. The kitchen seemed to have everything we needed except a cork screw, which is strange because they had like 3 bottle openers. We loved houw spacious the cabin was and close to the village.
The TV is really cool too. Its hooked up to the internet and has apps like netflix, etc. They also give you really fast wireless internet access.
One small negative was that while the heat works very well in general, the cabin heats very unevenly. The front of the house can get really hot while the back bedroom (where we wanted to have our baby sleep) remained cold. We tried to compensate a bit by closing down the vents more in the front.
Also, the property could have been a bit cleaner. There were bits of what seemed like confetti on the ground. I found a couple spiders from spots that probably had not been touched. Oh and you might want to bring some pillows. We found the ones there a bit uncomfortable in the beds.
Overall, its a great place and we enjoyed it very much.
