San DiegoHouse has terrible rat infestation.
Left on 02/22/2012 for a stay in February 2012
Clearly, no one checked the condition of the house before we arrived, because when we got there (2/18/12) the entire downstairs carpet was covered with rat feces (also some in upstairs bedrooms and even on kitchen counter, where the rats had chewed the wooden edge. There was also rat feces in the cabinets where the dishes are kept.) Housekeeping was sent out to vacuum it up, and he did a great job, but there was more everywhere by the next morning. It was completely disgusting. The furniture had holes chewed in it where stuffing had been pulled out, presumably by rats who needed nesting material. My husbands pajamas, which had been laying on one of the couches during the day when we were out, were also chewed. We had to keep everything in the refrigerator, the only safe place. I couldn't even use the kitchen, knowing that rats had been all over it. We had to walk around inside with our shoes on, and my little girl was afraid to go to sleep at night, for fear the rats would bite her. It was a nightmare. Unfortunately, due to it being a holiday weekend, everywhere else we checked was full. In addition to the rats, most of the smoke detectors which are supposed to be on the ceiling, are stacked on a wooden shelf. When we tried to open one of the kitchen cabinets, the door fell off. When we tried to open one of the upstairs blinds, the entire thing fell down, off the window. Most of the towels in the bathrooms had black stains on them. There is also water dripping from the ceiling in the room where the washer and dryer are. The only good thing I can say about the place is that the spa was great - new and clean and working. And the beds were clean, thank goodness. But the rat issue really wrecked the trip for us. When we checked out, we asked to see a manager and the girl at the desk said they could not be disturbed in their meeting to speak to us. Nice.

Dallas TexasGreat Cottage!
Left on 08/18/2011 for a stay in April 2011
Our family stayed in this great little cottage during Spring Break! The home was perfect for our family, especially with a 5 and 8 year old wanting to run around in the yard and play in the hot tub. The house is a short ride to the slopes and right in the middle of town. We were never more than a few minutes away from the grocery store and restaurants. The house is clean and has everything we wanted for a quick ski trip. We will definitely go back! Thanks for opening your home to us!

Moorpark, CAHome away From Home
Left on 08/10/2011 for a stay in May 2011
If you have a family and you want to get away this is a terrific property. Though you may find more luxurious rentals this home feels like your home. Nothing fancy but at the same time you're not worried the kids will break that Tiffany vase. All the amenities you need on vacation with kids. Comfy bedrooms up stairs for the kids and cozy master bedroom downstairs for parental pillow talk. Hot tub was enjoyed by all with easy access to house. Whether it's snow ski season or water ski season this place is in a quiet neighborhood but easy access to main road and close to any retail. Playground near by for kids and lake blocks away. If you want a home away from home this is the perfect property. We had a very relaxing weekend and property managers were great. Just remember to buy enough firewood to enjoy the fireplace while you celebrate good times with a hot toddy.

los angelesGoor property
Left on 07/18/2011 for a stay in June 2011
The property is good if you are traveling with family and no more than 6 peoole. It is a smaller house, but realy commfortable. We came in for long weekend but ended up stayig 9 nights. This home felt comfortable and like home away from home. We were traveling with 4 adults and one 3 yearl old child. We would stay in this house again if we were traveling for a weekend or so, but since most of the time we go out for 10 days to 2 weeks I usually find better rates than this.

Left on 06/02/2011 for a stay in May 2011
While this cabin was clean it was very old. The hot tub wouldn't heat up and there was no water pressure in the bathrooms. The location was good but this cabin needs a serious update for what they charge. If you l

Thank you for responding to our survey. This cabin is one of our more economically priced cabins with WIFI internet and a spa. The water pressure was checked and seems normal. The spa is 2 years old and has a digital lock feature on the control panel. We leave the panel in the unlocked mode but it sometimes gets activated when the lock button gets pressed. The instructions on how to unlock it are on the spa. We hope you will try to stay with us again. Again, thank you for your response to our survey.
