The cabin was great. The four of us really enjoyed our stay. We wish we could have stayed longer. The only problem we had was the sheets were really dirty, there was hair and crumbs on the sheets when we pulled the comforter off, which was pretty gross! Luckily we brought our own sheets. I didn't bother to call the office because all they would have done was change our sheets & apologize. I recommended it to a friend and they made reservations for March 2012. We will definitely come back.

I was a little weary of having to go to a real-estate-y location to check in/out of our cabin, but it was actually a very painless experience. All of the staff I dealt with were extremely nice and easy-going. We came on a living social deal so I expected hassle from that, but none whatsoever. The cabin itself was small, as most 1-2 bedroom cabins are, but was extremely clean and a lot nicer than I had expected. I really enjoyed my stay in Big Bear & this cabin/company was definitely the right choice!

This was a great little house for a weekend getaway. We came up for Oktoberfest and decided to try out BBV. The house was clean and cozy. The furnishings really gave it the cabin feel.
And the location was great. Close to Oktoberfest and close to the lake. You're literally a block away from Big Bear Blvd.
We're thinking about renting again, but going in with friends to get both Mama & Papa Brownie.
The only downside, as first time renters, all of the "list of demands" was intimidating. I was afraid I'd get fined for leaving a gum wrapper in a trash bin by accident. But I like that BBV reminders visitors to be courteous and clean for those who come behind. -

The living area heater (or maybe the thermostat) did not work. I recall reading this in a previous review, so apparently it was not addressed. The bathroom rug was very dirty, but everything else was really clean, so perhaps the rug was just overlooked.
A few more hand towels (at least one per person)would have been nice; we just made do with damp towels rather than go back to the office every day for another set of towels which was not very convenient. A couple of kitchen towels need to be provided if dishes are expected to be washed and put away, there were none in the kitchen. Some small plates/saucers would have been nice, but not absolutely necessary. There needs to be another oven glove; it's not really safe to use just one hand to remove stuff from the oven.
There were a lot of "do's and don'ts" on the pre-rental agreement form (7 pages!) but perhaps others have abused the properties and they have become necessary.
The check in staff were really nice and informative. Overall a comfortable stay and reasonably priced.
