Two bedroom, two full bathroom chalet with wood burning stove, 40" flat screen cable TV, DVD player, wireless internet, washer/dryer, and full kitchen with stove/oven, refrigerator, microwave, blender, toaster, coffee maker, dishes, pots/pans, and more. Upper deck with beautiful ski slope and forest views. Bottom deck with charcoal barbecue.

Bedroom one has a queen bed, futon, and private bath.

Bedroom two has two double beds.

Maximum occupancy 6. Parking for 2 vehicles.

      Great Cabin / Horrible drive way!!

      Left on 03/28/2013 for a stay in February 2013

      Visited in Winter during Snow storm.

      Upside: The cabin was cozy and had a great slope on the side of the house that offered up some really fun sledding!

      Down side: the stairs up to the cabin iced over really easily and no salt was provided to ensure our safety. We were fortunate enough to have been provided a shovel.

      Biggest and almost fatal down fall was the driveway. It is so steep and was covered in at least of foot of snow when we got there, we shoveled what we could that night (at 8pm in the snow after a 2 hour drive up the mountain in a snow storm) the next day it was iced over. We drive a 4x4 1/2 ton and there was no way we could get it up the drive way to park in the spot. My step daughter drove a 3/4 ton with 4x4 and was able to get up there. The only reason we even tried to get it up there was the fact that the police drove by and wouldn't let us park on the side of the road. We almost had to drive into town and park our Truck at the Vons.

      If it wasn't for the wonderful company and memories this could have been a reason for divorce!!

      You definitely need a running start to get up the driveway hill. Overall very average. The main problem is that the upstairs bedroom has no heater - only a space heater in the living room so the kids were cold at night.

      for summer is about 3 or 4 miles from the beach lake.but I will , the price was low .I'll go back in winter ,for full potencial of the house (very good spiritual experience ) It feels like someone was praying before we get there

      Cozy and Convenient

      Located close to Bear Mountain, so it was convenient for skiing and boarding. It is cozy with the kitchen in the same room as the living room, but it had all the necessities. The driveway is a little steep, but they had it cleared, so it was managable. Master in downstairs, with it's own bath, which worked great since we had two teens on the main floor.

      Large cabin and convenient

      I had a good experience at Mountain Sunset. The cabin was huge - had all amenities it mentioned and all the appliances seemed to work fine. We were happy on seeing it initially that we extended our stay here by a day.

      One point for which I would dock some points is the fact that the driveway of the cabin is just too steep and unusable for a sedan. I dont recollect seeing anything like this in the description of the cabin and suggested to the check in office that this notice would have helped. I scratched my car in my first attempt to make the ascent up the driveway and was giving up when the neighbors very sweetly offered us space in their driveway.

      The location was perfect.The one bedroon with one bath made it really romantic for myself and my husband to have the privacy we needed, while the kids were upstairs with there private bath and room. The cabin was clean it was perfect. We walked to the zoo and it was very quiet and peaceful.
