First of all I was blown away by how Cute this place is. I felt like Snow White walking into this place. We took our kids, 8,7,3, & 9 months.)It's laid out soo well that you never feel cramped at all. The huge island was awesome for us all to sit at, my kids loved having hot cocoa there.
No need to get in your car to go sledding, we took our kids right behind Cornerstone in the woods and there was this huge hill that we used (straight back & up to the left). My kids even sledded in the front yard. My 7 year old daughter had a great time on the tire swing in the front yard.
I wish there were some plastic cups at the cabin, I stressed giving my kids glass, besides that I would love to stay here again.

Studio CityNice clean cabin, but hot tub was cold.
Left on 12/28/2012 for a stay in December 2012
We liked the cornerstone cabin location and the cabin itself was clean and comfortable. The only drawback was the hot tub was very cold and there was no way to increase the temperature. That was one of the selling points for the cabin in the first place. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay and it was very close to Bear Mountain Ski Resort.

My family and I had an awesome time, cabin was clean and cozy the only issue we had was that the power went out and i spent quite a bit looking for the electrical panel and my cell didn't have reception at the cabin so had to drive down to call cool cabins and they were very helpful. Great staff.

San DiegoQuaint and unique lil' place
Left on 10/03/2012 for a stay in September 2012
My fiance and I stayed here recently and really enjoyed ourselves. The cabin is small but there is a nice large open floor plan inside. There is a lot of land outside as well which might be fun for kids to play in.
A few drawbacks:
- The hot tub is visible from the road so we only felt comfortable using it at night. This place is located right on the corner off of Club View Drive.
- Overall the place is clean but we did see a mouse in the kitchen on our last night there and found some minor mouse droppings on the floor at that same time.
Pluses:
- Kitchen was very well stocked. Plates, pans, bowls, utensils, etc.
- The eclectic design of this place is pretty charming.
- Close to town, but far enough that you have some seclusion.
- Got the 3rd night for free because there was a deal on this place when I booked.
Overall it was a good experience. The place could probably use a little bit of updating to replace some of the older items, but it still does have a fair amount of charm as is. -

We enjoyed our stay at Cornerstone Cabin. The house is older, but has a lot of personality. The interior has a lot of interest, with architectural details and nice stonework, but the furnishings are old. The bed linens were clean and the comforters newer. The street below the house was pretty busy, but the lot is heavily treed and has fun things to do. We loved that there is access to the National Forest from the back yard. There are a lot of trails to hike on and a couple of them were good for mountain biking.

Comfortable cabin, nice experience in the mountains. Only drawback is the location of the cabin. It is on a street that had a ski festival at the top of the hill, and for 2 consectutive day hundreds of walkers and hundreds of cars passed up and down the hill. Needless to say, towards the end of each day, the group became louder and ruder as more alcohol was consumed.

Cornerstone Cabin was the perfect sized cabin for our weekend getaway. We had four adults and a toddler in our group. The cabin itself is super cute and has some fun amenities outside, such a rope swing, Jacuzzi, and hammock. However the inside left much to be desired. The layout of the cabin is nice. It works well for families or two couples, but the first thing we encountered upon arrival were ants in the kitchen. There were food crumbs all over the kitchen floor and on the barstools, which the ants seemed to enjoy eating. Next, there were cobwebs throughout the cabin. They were hanging from the ceiling in most of the rooms. The lower areas of the cabin were dusted, just not the hard-to-reach places. Then the couch and chairs were covered in dog/cat hair so we needed to put sheets over them to stop our guest with allergies from itching and sneezing. The couch and chairs are very old and uncomfortable. The cushions on the couch continuously sunk in and needed to be pulled out after a few minutes of rest. The TV is small & old, as well as the VCR and DVD, but they worked so no complaints there. The beds were comfortable and bathrooms were acceptable, except for the hairball and crumbs found on the downstairs bathroom floor when we arrived. The large "table" in the kitchen was great to sit around during our meals. Overall, Cornerstone Cabin was an okay place to stay, but would be a great one if the cleaning crew stepped up their services and the furniture was updated for comfort.

The cabin and it's location was great! The backyard opened out into the forest, which allowed us to hike on different trails with our dogs. The cabin is pet friendly which is why we picked it. It is small and cozy. Our son loved the tree swing and played on it for hours! We will definitely try to stay here again!

Cornerstone Cabin was great. Easy check-in with Cool Cabins, easy directions to the cabin, friendly Cool Cabin's employee who was just finishing cleaning up for us as we arrived, and a comfortable cabin with all the amenities we wanted. The hot tub gave a perfect ending to every day.

I almost thought about not giving a good review so other people don't rent it but this was a wonderful cabin. My 5 year old son and I stayed there for a week in May and I would definitely rent it again. It's not a huge place but great for a few people. They had just about whatever you needed and was in a great location from the lake. I highly recommend this to anyone!

We come to BB very often. For the first time we rented this particular cabin. Cornerstone Cabin has the best location, especially for hiking and long walks in the forest. Cozy, pretty, private...with everything you possibly need. Owners and the Cool Cabins Team take a good care of this property.
Dog friendly...the most important for us!
We will definitely rent this property again.

The service from Cool Cabins was excellent! Check in and out was very organized and easy. Cabin was better than described! Very close to ski resorts and the village. You need to read the cute little story about the builder of the cabin, under the thermostat on the wall. Loved the jacuzzi and the grounds. Beds were very comfortable! Would not hesitate to stay here again, and have referred the cabin to friends!

I rented the cabin for my girlfriends birthday, it was great! We stay and Big Bear often and this place has been our favorite so far. The chin is less than a one minute drive to bear mountain. The cabin was clean and cozy, our bed was comfortable, and we enjoyed the backyard. The hot tub was warm at 104 degrees, but it could have been warmer. All in all, it was a great trip and cabin

Cabin smelled like cigarette smoke upon check in. Towels, blankets & lines all smelled like mildew (saying mildew is putting it nicely). Silverware was rusted & extremely old. Dishes all old. Should have brought our own disposable plates, silverware, & linens. Remotes for tv in bedroom had no back covers or batteries. Chairs on porch are broken, should be removed & trashed. Luckily our friends stayed up the street & we spent most of our time with them & at the ski resort.

phoenixgreat little escape from the city
Left on 01/25/2012 for a stay in January 2012
I loved this cottage for a couple of reasons. First, it's very reasonably priced, second, really close to Bear Mountain Ski Park, 2-3 blocks. And it has both a hot tub(outside) and a wood burning fireplace. All the essentials for a mountain escape. It's not in the "city" proper, it's up off the main street and backs up to the woods. Very peaceful, but it is on the main road, so during the morning and afternoon rushes to the park, it's quite busy with traffic, if that kind of thing bothers you. I will stay here again, hopefully, and will definitely recommend to others. The house is comfortable and stocked with all the kitchen stuff we needed.

We loved the cabin, the outside, and the theme of it. The one thing I would suggest with this cabin though is that they get some new furniture and beds. The loft bed actually slanted downward and we had some people with back problems so they were very uncomfortable. Other than that the cabin was just wonderful and great fireplace!!

We loved the cabin and all the land that comes with it! The "great" room was perfect for our family to hang out in having breakfast and dinner while playing games and enjoying the fireplace. It felt like a home. As for the property, it was awesome as the entire grounds were covered in snow and we were able to make a very long sled run down the sloped driveway.
