We had a wonderful time! Great cabin with plenty of beds and room to stretch out. Loved that we had access to the garage since we did have 4 cars and the driveway is a bit short and steep. Only complaint is that the the downstairs full bathroom door didn't lock. But this cabin has everything you could want, well supplied. And we loved watching movies at night in the theater -one of the coolest things about this cabin. And of course the lake view is beautiful. Def recommend it!

Our entire family had a fabulous time. Cool cabins is a first rate rental company. This is our third time using cool cabins and I would recommend them to all. The home is so much more beautiful than the pics show we loved the place. The only bad part is the low water level of the lake but the views were still spectacular !

The cabin was even bigger than the pictures suggested and the view was great. It was located right on the lake close to everything and being able to access the garage was nice for our cars. The cabin was very clean upon arrival and all of the amenities were in good condition.
The only complaint I had dates back to a previous stay with Big Bear Cool Cabins. I was issued a $100 credit for an experience that was not as good, but when I tried to use it for this reservation, I was unable to use it. They claimed that the credit could not be used during "holidays," but this was the first I've heard of that policy.

Bee's Lake house is better in person than even the pictures depict. However, the management company (or the owner) have super strange rules for a cabin that is, I would consider, a high-end rental.
We rented this cabin for 3 days during Thanksgiving and it cost us around $3,000. For that price point, you would expect superb service. However, when you pick up the keys from the office they provide you with a piece of paper that has all of the rules for how you should leave the property at the end of the stay.
For example, you either need to pay $50 to have someone come out and pick up your trash or you have to go to some random dump site to drop off your trash.
Another example is towels. We had a small issue where we weren't getting a lot of hot water and the management company sent someone out promptly to look at the issue and when he arrived, I asked him if he could swap out the towels for clean ones. He said, "we are too busy right now to do that so you need to go back to the office and swap them out yourself". Again, if I was at a rundown motel I would expect this service but not at $1,000/night.
Lastly, they wanted us to have the cabin in the same condition as we received it. So, they expected us to clean the entire approx. 4,000 sq ft before we left. Its like cleaning your hotel room before checking out. I'm not looking to pay for a high end cabin and the luxuries of being away from home only to feel like i have to make my bed as though i was home.
Thank you for choosing Big Bear Cool Cabins. We appreciate the review. Bees Lake House is a great property. In regards to the trash removal; that regulation is per the City of Big Bear Lake for all private home rentals. Upon check out we do ask our guest to leave the property in the same condition as they found it, but our guest are only responsible for removing their trash and washing any dishes that were used. Our great housekeeping staff takes care of the rest. Again thank you so much for your review and we look forward to welcoming you back to Big Bear and Big Bear Cool Cabins really soon!
best cabin ever

It's very valuable for my vacation trip. Got everything we needed inside. The view are beautiful. I really enjoyed my trip this time because of this cabin
Bee's Lake House was ideal for our two families! The two master suites were awesome for the adults while the huge downstairs bedroom was a blast for the kids! The kitchen was fully stocked and the pool table and ping pong table provided great entertainmentfor all. We would definitely stay there again. The dock was great as we rented a pontoon boat and were able to pull up right out in front to load the kids and lunch!
Beautiful Location with Many Stairs and Poor Repair

The location on the lake is breathtaking overlooking Boulder Bay the most picturesque area of Big Bear. The house is on 3 levels, on the bottom floor is a large room with 2 beds and a ping pong table and laundry. Go up a flight of stairs to the main living area, and yet another flight of stairs to the 2 master suites. Quite a workout when you are managing kids. There was no garage door opener, in garage parking was not permitted. The spa was dirty and the jets did not work. Many of the blinds did not operate properly or part of the mechanism was missing. The kitchen sink exude a very foul order regardless of rinsing, disinfecting etc. The tub in the larger master suite was not usable because the stopper was broken. We were required to go to the local fire department to dump our trash.

We enjoyed our stay very much. Very nice home. We were dissapointed that we could not rent a boat until april 1st. Main reason we rented this house with a dock. It would of been nice if we had been told. Also there were cigarette butts all over the back deck. We picked them up but they are still all over the area behind the deck which should be cleaned by the maintanence people.

The moment i entered the house, i was mesmerised completly.I loved the house so much that i wished i had more time to stay there. It is exactly located opposite the lake which gives a very scenic view of the entire Big Bear Lake surrounded by mountains.Loved the way the interior of the house was decorated and everything was so perfectly arranged. This was my second visit to Big Bear and nothing could have have made my stay more better than the Bee's Lake House! I think if anyone of you plans to visit Big Bear, i would highly recommend staying here for the enjoying the time of your life.Trust me no one would be disappointed.Even my friends who visited from Norway and Nigeria loved it to the core.

I was under the assumption the home was on the lake, but the lake was across the street. Once we entered the home we noticed the floors were not swept (dirt/food/etc) and the carpets could not have been more dirty/stained. It was actaully pretty gross. Once we got beyond that it was an okay home. Probably would not rent this one again.

This lake house is perfect for that long awaited getaway, as soon as we stepped in the door we were pleasently surprised with the entire feel of the house, the website images truly give it no justice we had plenty of room to hang around and the outside deck gives a stunning view of boulder bay! The pool table added plenty of fun and the private dock was perfect, easily giving us access to all our watercrafts, we truly had a blast! The entire house was clean and well equipped for a group of 12, the theater room was amazing and we enjoyed our movies in the plush lazyboy recliners! The outside jacuzzi was a nice touch, and truly relaxing.the master bedrooms are gorgeous and like I said before the entire house gives off a warm welcoming feel, i would definitely recommend this lake house to anyone who wants to have fun and just get away for a while!

Well, first of all, the service that bigbearcoolcabins provide is outstanding. I have been their customer for many many years and will definitely continue dealing only with them..
Now about the house. The house was amazing, the view from almost every room. Two beautiful bedrooms upstairs with jacuzzis in them. Kitchen is very large and comfortable. The only thing that kitchen was missing is a bottle opener:) Couple of things I didn't like...
1) Bedroom door upstairs doesn't close and doesn't stay still. Every time it moves it makes a squeaking noise that wakes you up at night.
2) Bedroom downstairs does not have a heater and the heat from upstairs doesn't get there. Room stays completely cold, it's impossible to sleep in there. We had to use couches upstairs.
3) Garage didn't have power, so no lights and you had to open garage doors manually
Last minute booking of this cabin by the lake. Wasn't our first choice but was one of few that would accommodate a one night stay. View of lake and close proximity were probably the best features of this property. We ran into an immediate problem with the front door lock not working properly and causing us to battle with it in the cold for approximately 10-15 minutes. We had read about this on an early review of the property and, obviously, it had not been repaired. The main family room area with pool table was nice as was the movie theater room. Heating throughout the cabin was a bit of a problem as the lower level room with two beds could not be used because it never heated up. Upstairs master bathrooms had problem with all of the power outlets not working in both bathrooms. In addition, the TV in one master did not work at all. We also found several bags of trash left in the garage by previous visitors which we called management about upon arrival. They informed us that someone from maintenance would be sent out to dispose of it. We never checked garage again but were shocked to see that $50 had been charged to our account for that very trash! We called to complain and let them know that, as we informed them, it was not our trash. The employee said nothing was noted in their system. Yes, and apparently nothing was done about the trash! She said she would adjust our account, which she did. We will probably use Cool Cabins again as previously we have had no problems with other cabins. This one needs a little repair work. Read more
