This cabin has all you need for a great time with a big family or friends.
Views of the lake and mountains are stunning. -

Awesome cabin, especially for teens- lots to do inside and out- cards, games, TVs everywhere, videos, dvds, books, ping pong, badminton etc.
The bathrooms, bedrooms and living spaces were very clean and the beds were comfortable. Lots of space- we were nine and there was still room for six more sleeping comfortably. An entire room was left unused!
Also, it has a beautiful view to wake up to!
We really enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning in the winter. -

To be honest we were a little nervous about Hakuna Matata when we first arrived. We weren't sure if it was big enough, and it seemed a little old. However our fears were quickly alleviated when we realized that this cabin was in fact extremely accommodating and spacious. We had four families with kids ranging from 6 to 20 - and it fit everyone of our needs. The upstairs kitchen is absolutely charming and huge - I haven't seen that many cabinets in a home since the 70s. Plus there is a downstairs "kitchen" with counter area, refrigerator and sink - it was perfect because downstairs is where we spent most of our time - because of the lake, ping pong table, bar area, and fooz ball. This cabin was clean and very well maintained. And the owner was very accommodating. In fact we wanted to watch opening ceremonies of Olympics - but the direct TV was not working. The owner called us and had a technician out immediately. This cabin is absolutely perfect for families. Clean, well-maintained and I hope it keeps some of its charm from the 70s - and doesn't go over board in "sprucing it up".

The cabin was very nice. We were very surprised by all of the amenities and the appliances/tools available to us. It was a great view and great set up. We were a little concerned about the cleanliness of the sheets and comforters.

We celebrated my husband's birthday in Big Bear. Hakuna Matata had all the amenities needed. We Bbq'd, played Ping Pong and most of all enjoyed the gorgeous view. There was
plenty of room for everyone. By far this was the best cabin
we've rented and we've rented several over the last 20 years.
The outside of the home was so deceiving, once inside fabulous use of space.We will rent Hakuna Matata again and again and again -

Our family had a ball in your home this past weekend! The game tables were a hit with my kids!!! Waking up to that lakefront amazing beauty was one of my favorite parts!!! We all would gather down in the great room and admire the beauty and the pelicans and ducks!!! We all thought of how perfect this home would be in the summertime!!! The only thing I can say that may deter us from renting this home again is the lack of washer and dryer! My boys were in and out of the snow all day, and after the slopes you really want a dryer! I wore wet gloves on the second day, and the boys snow pants never really dried all the way! Just a small inconvienance but I wish I would have realized this before I booked!!! Also, having no wifi proved tough for my husband with work! Thankfully, McDonalds and Starbucks has free Wifi and we made trips there often! This is a spacious and comfortable home, and we thank you for such a memorable and great weekend!!!
