"Absolute Wilki" is a large, 3 bedroom, 2 bath cabin located in a secluded neighborhood in Big Bear City. Sleeps 10 with 1 queen & 1 king in bedrooms; a full in the loft bedroom and built-in bunks (4 full twins). Full kitchen with dishwasher, washer and dryer, wood burning, native rock fireplace and color TV with VCR. Wireless internet offered! Nice, private back deck is perfect for BBQ's and enjoying the outdoors. NO SMOKING, NO PETS!

The cabin is located in a nice area and it is fairly private. It is a little close to the airport so we could hear the planes taking off.The place needs a little updating. My biggest issue was that the fridge was not turned on! Making a reservation almost a week in advance I would assume at least that would be done! I cannot imagine getting there in the middle of the summer and having your food sit in a warm fridge for couple of hours. The room upstairs did not have a cover over the comforter, which I found really inappropriate- please get one at Target on sale! They are not that expensive! The place had a BBQ which allowed us to make a steak dinner. It has plenty room to sleep a large group. If you check in after 5 pm, you need to go to another location to pick up the key and you get charged $12 for your inconvenience, which BTW was never mentioned when I was making the reservation. Otherwise, it was a spacious place.

The quality of the cabin was very poor--very outdated, carpeting was really in bad condition. There were a couple of problems that needed immediate attention and the management did come out right away and take care of it. It was also a bit further from the village than we had wanted. If cabin was kept up better we might stay again. Since were were there back in February it could be that it was improved--I would check with property management to confirm.

We use this cabin as a base for our summer running camp group away from the crowds & close to the trails. Loft is great for students/kids. Coaches/parents stay downstairs out of ear shot for better sleep. Big deck out back is great for gatherings outside. Single full bathroom is only drawback for a group.
