In the resort-like Castle Glen area with many executive level cabin homes, our log cabin presents you an open-air, comfortable, and luxury setting for an unforgettable vacation. Walk to Oktoberfest and only a 2 minute drive to the lake, restaurants and shopping, 5 minutes to the ski slopes, The Village, zoo, horseback riding and the airport. This log cabin has three master suites, room-in-room den, and three bathrooms.

The service from Cool Cabins was exceptional. Once we checked in we drove to the cabin. Once we arrived to the three car driveway we made our way up the stairs and into the front door. Before us was a huge great room, a pool table that turned into an air hockey table, dining table for all 8. All three rooms were of good size including the Master bedroom with a jacuzzi tub. The only drawback was no closet and the closets in the other two bedrooms were difficult to get to. No need to bring extra towels or blankets. The owner has stocked a closet with more than enough linens. The BBQ was a little to be desired but did end up cooking a few steaks on the trip. There is a beautiful hill behind the cabin that you can do some small sled runs but a bigger hill lies up the street where the kids played for hours and the adults enjoyed creating runs with jumps for the kids as well as ourselves. The jacuzzi is old and small but it heats up nicely. The location is perfect for heading to the Big Bear Snow Play area which is just over the hill from the cabin across the street. The cabin also comes with an Xbox 360 and a nice size flat scree TV. Our Likes: Location, size of cabin and amenities. Our dislikes: We had to leave and go home!!

The rate ended up a little higher than Bbcc had advertised, but that's not the cabin's fault. It was great. I could tell that the people who stayed before us had treated it well and I would encourage anyone who stays here in the future to do the same. It seems like this is a place where people give back more than they take. The cabinets were well stocked with appliances, although my cousin couldn't find a dough roller. That was about the only thing not in this kitchen.
There were even dry goods with a note to replace what you use. How cool is that! There were little notes hidden like Easter eggs throughout the cabin. That was another thing we really appreciated...little tricks/tips on how to enjoy the cabin to the fullest. Laundry room was clean with updated washer/dryer.
The pool/air-hockey table was a hit, and as someone else mentioned never-ending Netflix on a big, shiny flat screen. The hot-tub was aging, but still did the job. Average grill with 2 fulls tanks of propane - sweet. Love the location! Upscale houses all around. The driveway parking was clear of any falling pine cones, which seemed to be crashing down all around town. Also, the blinds were nifty and the windows are large with great views all around.
The front deck is massive and so relaxing to sit on in the morning with a hot beverage, but the railing needs adjustment - it's not plumb with the deck probably due to people leaning on it. Could be a safety issue there.
One more thing, the lighting was pretty cool. Lots of dimmers and different ways to perfectly illuminate the different spacious areas - ceiling fans too. Oh okay, one more thing. The fireplace was gooch - ceramic logs and natural gas. Next to that is a bench/nook underneath a huge bay window overlooking the front deck - that is a great place to lay down, slide the windows open and read a book...or take a nap. -

I paid approx. $600 for this place for 3 days/2 nights and is definitely worth it. Walking distance to Oktoberfest < 0.5 miles total. Beautiful view in october. A great rental for our family of 5 adults and 1 child.

Positives:
i loved the house and it was good location.
Very nice for the price range.
Has a cool pool table/air hockey combo and an xbox too
The main downside was the beds were way to soft for me and had trouble sleeping. Also the bath towels where these little thin cheap things you would not even find in a motel 6. I would guess that is the management company thought. -

We enjoyed the house and all amenities. We wish the front and back deck had comfortable lounge chairs to enjoy the views. Great area and close to everything. We will definitely be back.

We loved this home. It was clean and perfect for our needs. The kids loved the Xbox and the air hockey, and the adults loved the Netflix. It was close to Vons and Stater Bros. Very nice neighborhood. The only con is the neighbor's deck is up the hill from the hot tub, so it wasn't too private. We can't wait to return.
