Alpine Jewel features all knotty pine wood walls, two bedrooms and one bathroom, and is located near Bear Mountain Ski Resort, Zoo, and golf course! This property Includes dart board, pellet stove fireplace, cable TVs, DVD player, high speed internet, and full kitchen including stove/oven, refrigerator, microwave, blender, toaster, coffee maker, dishes, pots/pans, and more. Back yard, outdoor speakers on the deck and a charcoal barbecue. Also a great area for sledding in the winter. Seasonal creek runs through the back yard.
Bedroom one has a king bed.
Bedroom two has two twin beds, a bunk bed, and cable TV.

The cabin is surprisingly close to the Bear Mountain Snow Resort (having a baby with us, we only wanted to get away from the city and did not want to participate in winter sports). It is a nice little cabin that allows relaxation. The decor is very heart-warming. The price, compared to other two-bedrooms, is really economical.

Our stay at the alpine Jewel, though short, was one of the best we have had to Big Bear. We had rented a cabin from Cool Cabins once before and had a pleasant experience. This time they had outdone themselves. The cabin was spacious, cozy and comfortably slept five. The view was great with a truly "rustic mountain" feel. The only recommendations we could give were the lack light due to a couple key lightbulbs being burned out, the bed frames in the second bedroom being collapsed and giving no support to the matresses as well as the table on the back patio was lying on the deck in pieces and the extremely steep and somewhat precarious driveway entry made it difficult to get in and out of the lot with ease. Even with these minor problems we would gladly rent this cabin or any other from Cool Cabins in the future.

We have 3 young children, and this place was so perfect. All the little details were remembered, and that was so helpful. The yard was great for our Great Dane, tons of snow to sled on and run around in. Our kids loved the bunk beds. Very fun place to spend a little snow getaway with our family. We will be back!!

Beds are very uncomfortable and wobbly. Spring box are broken in second room. Linens are not fresh. And most of all we had no cable, phone line and internet connection !!!

Thank you for leaving this review. We haven’t had any reports stating that the beds were wobbly or the box spring was broken so we will definitely look into that immediately and have them fixed. We never had any calls from you regarding any concern you might have about the linens otherwise we would have had new ones sent. Lastly, we did refund you for the cable and internet not working however phones are not a requirement or advertised amenity in our cabins. We do apologize for any disappointment you might have felt while staying with us but next time, please inform us of any concerns you may have so we can fix them in timely fashion!

We arrived after hours check in. The house was cold would of thought since they knew we where arriving they would turn the heat up for us. The place was not very clean, spiderwebs, crumbs on the kitchen counter. Kitchen was not supplied well with pots and pans etc. Killed several spiders inside. Yuck! The glass on the front window looks like it had recently been broken patched with a piece of cardboard. Glass still inside. On our 2nd day a window repair man arrived to fix the window was not informed that was happening. Needs some TLC!!!
