Olympic Retreat is a great place to stay with three bedrooms and 2.5 baths in a wonderful central location in Big Bear Lake. This spacious family retreat has more than enough space for everyone in your group. The entry level (you enter onto the 2nd floor) has the kitchen with a dishwasher, microwave by the patio window. There is a dining table (seats 6). The entry living room has wood burning fireplace, TV/DVD and awesome views of the slopes. The master bedroom has a king size bed , it's own TV and a private full bathroom. The 2nd bedroom has two twin beds and the 3rd bedroom has a queen. This is a very convinient place for 3-4 families with all sorts of amenities. The location is great and close to almost everything. The front yard and the deck are awesome treat for the kids. The basement could use some improvements, especially the seating was very uncomfortable while watching TV. The beds in the bedrooms need better blankets and bedsheets.
Overall, the place is worth the price, especially if you are taking your kids. Really enjoyed the stay.Response from Big Bear Vacations - 04/21/2012

My husband and I rented this home to stay in along with another couple. It more than satisfied all of our needs. First, it was huge. It has all the living space we needed on the first floor, with the additional game room/lounge space on the lower floor. The rooms were large and well appointed. There is a partial view of the Bear Mountain slopes from back patio as well.
Big Bear Vacations was also flexible with the check-in process. Although I booked the property, the other couple arrived in town before us, and, with advance notice, they were able to check into the house without waiting for us. This was extremely helpful as my husband and I arrived far later than we anticipated.
This home is great and we would definitely consider renting it again. -

It was a great House to stay in; all my family loved it and thanks me for booking this place. It was clean, nice rooms, the view was awesome. Kitchen was full of everything we needed, we brought the disposable plates, forks and glasses back home with us. Very close to big bear Blvd and all the attraction places. I went to check in at 1:00p.m and the house was ready that was great thank you BiG bear vacations for early check in.

This was a nice place to stay. Very clean and comfortable. Not too far away from the main action on Big Bear Blvd., but tucked away on a cozy quiet street.

My family and I stayed at this property for the weekend of Feb 6-8th 2009. We wanted to get away from the city and hopefully enjoy the snow in the weather forecast, which we did get, and LOTS of it :)
The house was even better than we anticipated. It was very spacious but had a cozy feel to it. Upstairs were the living room, dining room, kitchen, master bedroom (with private full bath), the two other bedrooms (one with a queen bed and one with two twin beds), and another full bathroom. Downstairs was a very large family room, bar area (with mini refrigerator and sink), a half bath, and the laundry room. The view from the top floor balcony area was great, you could see the ski slopes at a distance and it was amazing when it was snowing.
We really enjoyed our stay here. The kitchen was very well-stocked with enough dishes and other essentials, so we just needed to bring all our food. There was a large linen closet with extra towels and blankets that was really useful.
There were only a few issues with our stay. One small issue was that there didn't seem to be enough hangers in the closets in any of the rooms, but it wasn't a big deal. Another larger issue was that there was only one roll of toilet paper per bathroom for our 2 night stay, with no extra rolls anywhere, so we had to run out and get more, which was a bit of an inconvenience in the snow. In addition, all the beds were a bit worn out, they were a bit noisy and you would sort of sink in the middle of the bed. We were able to sleep ok, but an upgrade should be considered in the near future.
Overall, it was a really great place to stay in with plenty of room for everyone. We would definitely consider renting this same home again in the future and would highly recommend it to friends and family.

Olympic Retreat was big and cozy. It was big enough to fit an entire Superbowl party. It was at a very quiet neighborhood and many things were provided that wasn't listed on the website. I recommend Olympic Retreat and my next trip to Big Bear I will rent it again.

everything was great, and we enjoyed every moment of it, the only
thing that bothered us was the BBQ Grill which had been chained to a
tree, far from the back house window, in one corner. Other than that
we loved it.
