We were very comfortable in aDa Bear #1100! The beds were firm and comfortable, we found everything we needed in the kitchen, having internet access was a nice plus and the house was neat and clean. We're thinking of coming back for a week next time.

Monrovia, CA USANeed better housekeeping.
Left on 04/07/2011 for a stay in April 2011
1) debris, dirt in various corners of interior.
2) found 2 large spiders in the restroom.
3) stains on furniture.
4) pots & pans need to be replaced.
5) if this home was better cleaned & had better cookware, it would be a "good" value.

This was the second time that we stayed at this cabin. We were overall very happy with the place and the service. The cabin is very cozy and comfortable. The location is also very convenient. We are planning to rent the same place again next year.

Felt like home
Corona, CAExcellent
Left on 01/19/2011 for a stay in January 2011
We had a wonderful and relaxing vacation. The house was absolutely wonderful. Spacious, clean, comfortable and well taken care of. We felt at home and we felt the owners take pride and care in making sure their vacationers are comfortable. My favoriite was the fireplace and the kitchen. The only suggestion I would make is that the DVD player on the living room television did not work and we had planned to catch up on a few but it was no big deal because we had brought a portable one. I would suggest they get that fixed or just add one. Other than that it was perfect. We made sure to leave everything as nice which is something we always do but in this case I made sure to take extra care. I hope all who stay there are respectful and keep it as nice as the owners because I would like to return.

Atlanta, GAComfortable, Clean and Cozy living experience
Left on 01/05/2011 for a stay in December 2010
We stayed at the rental home for two nights and had virtually no complaints. The house was clean and the furniture and linens were very comfortable. The heating was adequate, though the two bedrooms do not have individual heaters so you have to keep it going for some time to get the house warm.
The patio and yard was well kept and all fixtures and supplies were adequate. Location wise it is definitely very accessible to all the attractions. All in all I would recommend this place in a heartbeat. -

Left on 09/10/2010 for a stay in September 2010
As my wife try to pull up the blinds in the master bedroom, the entire blind fell off the mount and hit her on the head. The frame was not secured on the mount. One of the wall socket in the master bedroom had upper plug-in sticking out completely from the mount. Half of the closet door was removed and put inside the closet. One of the bathrooms shower handle (single pull for hot and cold water) came completely off the fixture, so we couldn't use the shower in one of the bathroom. The maintenance came by and did not fix it. Backyard was just dirt and rock, we couldn't let our children run around. The furnitures on the patio were old and not well maintained. Overall, very dissapointed for lack of maintenance and upkeep.

La CrescentaGreat Location, Great Weather, Great price
Left on 08/18/2010 for a stay in August 2010
This was our "Return to Big Bear after 25 yrs" trip which included my parents and wife. The house we rented was very comfortable and clean. The location couldn't have been better, it was off the main drag, quiet and convenient to all the main shopping stores like Vons, Kmart etc. The house had some minor, yet fixable damage and a damage report was filed with the realty agent as per the paperwork. I found the paper work a bit "over done", but renting a private residence, I can understand the importance of the paperwork involved. The cost of the rental was comparable to the cost of a hotel room for four, with two queen beds and one bathroom. We had two bedrooms, two baths and a full kitchen, a patio, etc. you get the picture. It was very affortable for a family.

The service was excellent. The house was reasonable for the price. We stayed at this house due to the location, relative low cost and close amenities. The only issue I had: too much paperwork. I felt like I was filling out a mortgage. A minor issue with the house is that there’s really no central heating, so you’ll probably end up keeping the bedroom doors open to bring in the heat from the main house. Not a huge issue.

Irvine, CAOverall awesome place
Left on 03/25/2010 for a stay in February 2010
What can I say? There really is nothing wrong with this cabin. The place feels very rustic (there's even an antique monoski hanging on the wall), but at the same time you have everything you need: DVD/VHS player, grill (charcoal & gas), gas stove, internet, dishwasher and TONS of dishes. No jacuzzi unfortunately.
I came here for the free lift ticket on my birthday with 5 friends, and we all fit very comfortably. Occupancy is 6 but you could easily fit 8. The place is a short (<5 min) drive to either mountain, but set away from the main roads.
The only thing that was a little weird was that around 2 or 3am each night someone or something kept tripping the motion-detecting light and one of the times set off a car alarm. When I went outside each time to look around, I couldn't find anything. They make you put a visitor pass on your car dashboard, so maybe it was a local checking this. Weird none-the-less.

Los AngelesRoomy house with minor issues
Left on 03/18/2010 for a stay in March 2010
The house was comfortable for 4 adults with a child. It was kept clean. For the price they charged, I wished the place had paper towels, standard pantry spices (salt, pepper & oil), cable channels, hair dryer, supply of additional bath towels, and sheets. However, there were plenty of comforters.
The living room tv remote did not have batteries so I called mgt in the afternoon. They didn't come till 9:30 p.m. -

We got about a foot of surprise snowfall over Thanksgiving and there was
plenty of room in the front, back and neighboring yards for snowplay with my
kids without having to drive. Inside was clean and cozy. The washer and dryer
were a plus. Stores and restaurants are only a couple of miles away. I would
stay here again. -

Thank you for having such a great place on the market available for rent, checking in and out was easy and fast.
The house was very cozy and beautiful, close to the market and close to everywhere, we really had a great time, there was only one small misunderstanding about the internet connection, it is not wireless so have your cable connection with you other than that everything was great we will definitely visit again.
Thank you.

I am new in CA from East Coast. I was missing fall foliage so much and took someon's advice to try out Big Bear.
The cabin we stayed was sufficiently furnished.
Only one minor complaint is lack of wood for the fire place.
I will definetl check out next year again.
Many thanks. -

ADA BearNice home, but a few small things were missing.
Left on 10/10/2009 for a stay in September 2009
I like this home. It was very comfortable and spacious. I was surprised that there were no small ammenities, like paper towels and coffee filters. All other ammenities such as a complete set of dishware and utentsils were available. It would have been more convenient if a few of the small items were supplied rather than for us to have to go out and purchase paper towels and coffee filters for a two day stay. Also the landscape was sparce. This did not affect the enjoyment of the house, but would have added to our overall satisfaction when arriving at the house or sitting out back on the deck.
