Ann’s Place is a single story house in lower Moonridge with 3 bedrooms and 2 baths. This home has a woodsy interior with lots of mountain cabin charm .Easy level lot, and the National Forest is right in the back yard. Ann's place is a large warm cabin with a huge backhyard in the national forest. Famileis can sit and look out the kitchen window at the wonderful open forest or take long walks in the forest and enjoy sleding just steps from the house. The cabin has 3 bedrooms and is a perfect place for a family to enjoy. For older kids the cabin is close to bear mountain and snow summit for sking and snowboarding. The cabin is a little older and used alot and had a strong smell of smoke from fires in the fireplace however it was a warm, safe place to enjoy a weekend with a large family.

I take many trips to Big Bear, and this was my first time renting with Big Bear Vacations, overall the experience was pleasant, only thing I did not like was having to drop off the keys in person when departing, most rental agencies do not require that, just leave keys in residence. The accomodations where a bit outdated and you pretty much have to run the heater all the time in order to keep the home pleasantly warm if the weather is cold, two of the three rooms have small wall heaters, the master heater was not functioning, but the had a portable heat lamp to help with that, the big wall furnace is located in the living room. The space in the home is bigger than what the pictures portray, and has many big windows with great views of the surrounding woods. The backyard is a wonderful place to enjoy outdoor snowplaying, with plenty of room, I built a snowman and also a sledding path for my two young kids and they loved how spacious it was outside. The deck outside has some planks that have loosened up and could be a tripping hazard. I know you have heard, mostly negative comments, but that is just to help the owner resolve them, overall the place functions well, I definitely would recommend for families, the space and the price is just right. I would definitely rent this home again if available. Me and my family had a wonderful experience, and part of it was staying at anns Place #1089. Thanks.

OUR BIG BEAR STAY WAS HORRIBLE BECAUSE WE HAD CHILDREN WITH US AND THE BEDDING WAS DIRTY( NOT WASHED AFTERTHE LAST RENTERS). THERE SHOULD BE A NEW SPONGE FOR WASHING THE DISHES AFTER EACH GUEST( WEHAD TO USE THE OLD, USED ONE). OUR OVERALL EXPERIENCE WAS BAD JUST BECAUSE THE PLACE WAS DIRTY. EVEN THE SOFAS IN THE LIVING ROOM WERE DISCUSTING TO SIT ON BECAUSE OF SO MUCH PET HAIR IN THE SOFAFABRIC.

We very much enjoyed our stay at ann's Place. We were very close to bear Mtn. for skiing and the kids were able to play right out the back door. Place is rustic and a bit dated but very clean and comfortable. Went up with two families (seven total) and had plenty of room for all of us. Would stay here again!

My friends and family had a blast! The cabin was well stocked with basic cooking needs, heater and fireplace. It felt bigger inside than it looks. We have children under 10 years old so having the Forrest in the backyard was very convenient for sledding or just playing in the snow. Location is great and close to the ski resort and small zoo.
Our 2 corgis enjoyed the place as well. Some of the outlets weren't functioning and no working phone but a great place!

The cabin was very comfortable, cozy, and clean. It was big for the price me and my friends paid. Some minor details were that the phone was not working and we had no signal in our cellphones, so it was hard to communicate, and the heater wasn't strong enough. Overall, however, we enjoyed our stay.

First thing first I would say I love Big Bear Vacations customer service! Very helpful and friendly ;)
If your looking for a cabin that simple close to the market and that have a wild forest right in the backyard ann's cabin is just right for you!! I had a wonderful stay here, quite and a beautiful view of the forest right out the kitchen window, to make it even better you can go sliding, hiking etc out there too! No need to go drive around for places to play especially when you have little ones.
The only problem I had was that I and a couple of my kids did get a few bed bug bites, but overall it was a good stayed more then what I expected. -

We were pleasantly surprised with the rental. The location was great and close to everything; yet had the forest right in the back yard. The space was great and worked out well for all family members. It was cozy and comfortable to all.

The house is decorated in an old fashioned way (talking 70's or 80's), in fact the heaters are about that old... and at least 2 of them worked. The backyard is awesome, especially to let the children play for free in the snow. The place is clean and well geared for cooking, playing, or relaxing. Very simple check-in and check-out process.

Big Bear Vacations was wonderful. Very helpful, efficient, courteous. I will definitely use BBV again (and not the "other" vacation rental agency).
Ann's Place was wonderful as far as location. It was exactly what we wanted as far as bordering the forest. Kitchen window overlooking the beautiful snow covered forest is a great amenity.
What I didn't like was the smell - smell wet, dirty, moldy. I know it is a rental, but it just seemed unsanitary - mostly the carpets, but the dishes didn't seem really clean either. All-in-all, the location was wonderful, price was right, and nice having a second bathroom. -

Great cabin and very private. The backyard opens up
to the forest and there is plenty of room to play
with the dog.(or kids)
The cabin's furniture is a little dated, in
particular the two Lazyboy chairs (one of them is
pretty lopsided), but all in all it has a great
layout, a big kitchen and 3 nice bedrooms.
A dishwasher would be nice too, especially since
there seems to be plenty of room for one and if you
were staying there with 6 people, it would be more
convenient.
We would definitely come back to this cabin.

We had a wonderful stay at Ann's Place over Christmas. The cabin was well stocked with kitchen items, blankets and heaters and had a wonderful view of the forest out the back. Instead of driving to snow play areas we were able to hike with our 7-year old a few minutes to the west and go sledding right out the back. The cabin had a warm, glowing feel from the pine interior and was a short drive to the Village. Although it did not have wireless internet we enjoyed the peace and quiet.
