Snow Boarder
San Fernando Valley, CaPerfect for a large gruop
Left on 12/14/2011 for a stay in December 2011
Pros: very large home and private yard. So much space in the home that we didn't feel crowded. Home was clean on arrival and check in was easy. Location to slopes is great.
Cons: heat in two of the rooms did not work, jacuzzi did not work, coffee maker did not work. Not enough cups for a large group. Some minor repairs needed throughout the house.Response from Big Bear Vacations - 04/07/2012

San Diego Group
San DiegoSpacious accomodations
Left on 10/21/2011 for a stay in October 2011
The house was very roomy for our group of 13 people. Spaces were clean when we arrived. Large lot made parking convenient for our 5 cars.
However, there are only 4 bathrooms and 1 was basically unusable because there was a leak under the floor & carpet was wet...and there was no hot water in that bathroom. Maintenance personnel could not fix the problem during our stay without disrupting access to 2 of the 7 bedrooms. Only 1 bathroom in the house is accessible without going through bedrooms (really inconvenient with 13 people).
Also, for a house that sleeps 16, there were lots of plates & bowls in kitchen cabinets, but only 5 glasses...so we had to go out & buy plastic cups.

Left on 08/18/2011 for a stay in August 2011
Nice house on the exterior, has potential on the interior. Good place for a large family, but really needs help with appliances, lighting and carpet- much in need of replacement and repairs. With a little TLC, this place could be a great rental.

Flagstaffquiet, spacious, clean, but with electrical problems
Left on 07/14/2011 for a stay in July 2011
The house was wonderful. We had plenty of room for everyone. The breakers needed to be tripped and it took a while to find a tv that was compatible with the DVD player. The yard was spacious and the house was far enough from the road to keep traffic noise down. The fence was broken in places, so 'fenced yard' might not apply.

GlendaleOur New Year
Left on 01/05/2011 for a stay in December 2010
This place was beautiful! The house was absolutely massive, and comfortable like a home.
The gas bbq does not work, but you have the charcoal as an option.
We had a problem with electricity, but they sent someone who rectify the problem.
The only problem was ice in front of the building, we did ask them in advance to clean up, but it seems our request was ignored.
Also the pool table has holes in it and you left us one pool cue for such a big group, which was broken... (had no tip)
Overall I recommend staying here if you have a big group of people to entertain. -

San DiegoGreat Cabin, Greater Service
Left on 01/14/2010 for a stay in December 2009
Suzanne helped me to book my stay in Big Bear, and she was very helpful. We got to the main office a bit earlier, and we were able to check in early. After a tiring day of snowboarding, it was great to come back to a big family sized cabin that included a hot tub and numerous game rooms. The driveway into the cabin can be a bit icy and dangerous, but overall, we enjoyed the cabin. Thank you Suzy and Big Bear Vacations!

Temecula, CABig Bear Summer Family Gathering
Left on 08/13/2009 for a stay in July 2009
Thanks to your website and link to Big Bear Newsletter we were able to find an accomodation that fit our growing family. We had 15 family members who got together in Big Bear and stayed at Moonridge Manor. There was plenty of room to sleep, eat, and play games. The outside area is like a park and lends itself to ball playing and relaxing. Lots of parking available for a boat as well. We appreciated the fully fenced grounds. The pool table and indoor jacuzzi added to our fun. Furniture is comfortable. Lots of dishes, pots and pans for cooking. Location is close to lake, town and Bear Mountain.
One item that was confusing was the electric range. Couldn't figure out how to make it work. I recommend posting instructions so it can be used in the future. Oven and fry pans worked in lieu.
Overall, we all had a wonderful time and look forward to returning next year. -

LA, CALike being at Summer camp
Left on 08/13/2009 for a stay in August 2009
This place was awesome! It truly was like being at summer camp. The house is
absolutley massive, you kinda feel lost in it at first, but after a bit, it just feel
like home. My only complaint, which has been post on other reviews already, is
that the gas bbq does not work, but you have the charcoal as an option. Don't
bother trying to replace the tank, the gas bbq just does not work, and the
managment wont help you because the home is listed on the website as
equiped with charcoal bbq. Besides my frustration with that, we had a great
weekend, and the house is located really close to all the attractions of the
town. Overall I recommend staying here if you have a big group of people to
entertain. -

San DiegoGreat experience!
Left on 07/23/2009 for a stay in July 2009
Large private home with a lot of space to spread out with a large group of 16. Great common areas for gathering the large group for meals and activities. Small issues with overall cleanliness of the house and things not working (hot tub, propane grill, some small appliances). Overall, a great experience and our group would return to Moonridge Manor again.

Temecula CAThe perfect house for the right event
Left on 07/06/2009 for a stay in June 2009
This was a very randomly built house, but was perfect for our needs. We took
a group of young high school aged girls away for a retreat. It was great to be
on so much property. We felt like we were away from the city when we really
weren't. There was plenty of room for us all. We had problems with the
kitchen but the management quickly fixed any issues. I highly recommend
this house if you can get past the random room set up. It fit our every need. -

Ventura, CaliforniaQuiet, peaceful, and fun
Left on 06/12/2009 for a stay in June 2009
The grounds are peaceful and secluded. Local visitors included grey
squirrels and ducks. The house was so big; it was difficult to find your
way around. Perfect for large groups. Quite comfort would recommend
and plan on going back. The only complaint was figuring out how the
stove worked. Huge kitchen. -

santa monica, cavery disappointing
Left on 06/03/2009 for a stay in May 2009
This place has received little care and is pretty shabby. It looks
abandoned due to so many aspects of the house that are falling apart.
As soon as you enter the driveway an entire section of the fence has
fallen to the ground. There are stains on the carpets etc. It's a shame
because it has a great backyard. I would suggest looking for a
different house to rent.Response from Big Bear Vacations - 06/04/2009

The fence for Moonridge Manor is scheduled to be repaired by the owner. This property is a great place for a large group or family to meet.

A perfect house for two families to share. The grounds are great. The kitchen appliances are way out of date and the bbqs don't work. Would recommend for families who want to share a vacation home in big bear
