This 2 bedroom 2 bath ground level home with a glassed in Florida room, is on a boating canal with only 1/4 mile to open water. In five minutes at idle speed you have immediate access to the Atlantic or the Gulf of Mexico via Bogie Channel.

The Canal has 50 feet of concrete seawall with bumpers to protect boat hulls. The canal is six to eight feet deep, depending on the tide, and is swimmable most of the year.

This tropically decorated home has bamboo floors throughout. There is central air conditioning as well as ceiling fans in each room The master bedroom has a queen bed the second bedroom has twin beds. The main bath is... between the two bedrooms.

The Florida room has a queen sleeper. The Florida room has roll up reed blinds on the inner and outer windows for privacy at night, a ceiling fan and the house air conditioning. A small Tiki Bar lends a tropical setting. The second bath is located off the Florida Room, has a walk-in shower and its own linen closet.

Outside is a patio bordering the canal with a table, chairs, umbrella, gas BBQ (propane supplied), and fish cleaning station.

The key deer come through the property every evening as if they had a schedule and they can be seen throughout the island. Be sure to bring your camera.

AMENITIES;

The approx.1100 square foot home is completely furnished. All linens and towels are supplied. There are ceiling fans in each room. Cable TV in Living room and bedrooms.

The living room has a, sofa, love seat cocktail and end tables, side chairs, flat screen T. V. and a DVD player.

The dining area seats six. As the home is tropically decorated the bedrooms are named after tropical islands.

The laundry room with a washer, dryer and bait freezer is accessible from outside.

The kitchen has a refrigerator, range with oven, microwave, dish washer, and is fully equipped including a blender, toaster, coffee maker, mixer, bake pans, dishes, pots and pans, dish towels and utensils.

Other no charge items include free launching for your boat at the nearby marina, use of a two man kayak, bicycles, a family pass for Bahia Honda Beach and free high speed wireless internet access.

ACTIVITIES;

Big Pine Key affords great fishing, kayaking, and boating and nature adventures. Big Pine Key is home to the Key dear, an endangered species and the Great White heron.

This area of Big Pine Key is quiet and relaxing. There is no traffic and noise. This rental includes use of a two man kayak, bicycles, free day pass to Bahia Honda State Beach, rated as one of the most beautiful beaches U. S. A. Besides just plain relaxing, people like to ride the bicycles around the Doctors Arm community or visit the local artists’ gallery at the Winn Dixie market center. There are also shopping, hair and nail salons, barbers, boutiques and, DVD rentals, etc.

For children (and artistic adults) free lobster floats and paint are provided. You can express yourself or just enjoy a relaxing activity. You may sign the floats and hang them to make history or take them home with you as souvenirs.

LOCAL RETAURANTS:
Just five short streets (4 canals) away is the No Name Pub. World famous and the best Pizza around and patrons from around the world have decorated the walls and ceilings with “personalized” dollar bills. The Pub will provide crayons and a stapler so you can hang your bills.

On Big Pine Key; Coco’s cantina, at the Winn Dixie center, basically Cuban food, and the Big Pine coffee shop next to the Post Office.

On Little Torch Key, at MM 28.5 is Parrotdise Waterfront Bar and Grille. Tropically decorated, clean, a good menu and a full bar. You have a view of pine channel thru the large windows and once a month the full moon rise over the Atlantic is spectacular.

On Cudjo Key, at MM 22.5 is the Square Grouper. This is a “must visit” restaurant in the Lower Keys. They serve excellent sea food. Beer and wine only at the bar and if you don’t like waiting, get there early.

KEY WEST:
Aside from art and history, Key West of course has many restaurants ranging from decent to excellent. On the excellent end is the A & B lobster house. It is on the water at the harbor walk with a view of the fishing boats for hire and many yachts. On Duval Street, Antonia’s and La Trattoria are excellent Italian restaurants.

There are (several) Local’s restaurants that are off the beaten path and serve an excellent menu at reasonable prices. Two of these are Camille’s serving what I would call an “American menu.
The feature I like is they serve breakfast until 3:00 PM.

Almost next door is Abbondanza. Is a small, cozy, generally quiet place with a good menu at reasonable prices? The menu is Italian and I have never been able to finish a four meatball spaghetti dish. These are just a few of the many fine restaurants. If you mention it when you arrive, I can recommend several more dining spots.
