Beaver Creek Lodge - Big Sky Montana - Like Coming Home
Left on 01/14/2013 for a stay in January 2013 | V
The home (lodge) was just what the photos and captions described if not more. It is an absolutely amazing property and in all honesty no write-up could do it justice. It a very exclusive yet a convenient location, breathtaking views of the surrounding areas and even wildlife. The lodge was perfect for our small group (2 couples) however there was ample room and could easily sleep the amount indicated on brochure/website. It was very well maintained, chopped wood was provided for fireplace, a full pantry (basic staples) and we paid it forward as well. The snow had been shoveled around walks, etc. It was such a relaxing place, even though we were in and out several times each day during our stay.
When we travel back to this area (and we will) we will defiantly stay at the Beaver Creek Lodge, after all it was like coming home!

1) The Mountain Home was very large- even for all seven of us!
2) The hot tub was a good feature to include.
3) The bedrooms were the perfect size, and comfortably welcoming.
4) The cabin camouflaged itself well in its surroundings.
5) The large picture windows and decks gave a great view.
6) The house was just plain awesome!!!
7) Proximity to horseback riding at Jake's down the road and to West Yellowstone entrance was convenient.
Only negative was no notification by owner/ staff of entry to the house while we were absent.

This is a beautifully designed home with high ceilings, exposed rafters, stone fireplace, and lots of floor-to-ceiling windows that both let a lot of light into the house and also provide wonderful views of the outdoors. The setting is very private and secluded overlooking Beaver Creek. The house is well maintained and clean, and the furniture comfortable and tasteful. The staff at Mountain Home provided a very informative packet of materials and was very helpful in answering questions and helping to make our stay an enjoyable one. There was one minor glitch, which is reflected in downgrading my service rating to only three stars, when the owners had someone enter the house without our knowledge and during our absence to retreive their CDs. As a five-string banjo player and music lover, I had been playing the CDs and thought that they came with the house, like the Dvds that were also provided. (I compliment the owners on their taste in music -- Tim O'Brien, Bonnie Raitt, Lyle Lovett, etc.). But when the CDs were suddenly and mysteriously missing, I spent two hours unsuccessfully trying to find them with much anxiety and frustration. I even questioned the children of the family that was accompanying us about whether they had done something with them. This situation bothered me all during the day, until I asked the staff at Mountain Home to look into it. Needless to say, I wasn't happy to subsequently learn that all of this could have been avoided simply by giving us the courtesy of some advance notice and asking our permission to enter the house with all of our personal possessions in our absence. As a serious home cook, I found the two-burner Jenn-Air stove to be frustrating to prepare meals for the 4 adults and 3 children in our group. I also found the infra-red outdoor BBQ difficult to use. So it wasn't my ideal cooking environment. But these are minor nitpicks about what was, overall, a really lovely place in a secluded and beautiful setting.

Very Very nice place to stay for a getaway. My wife has always wanted to stay at a place like this and im happy that we did. My wife and i Brought our son and nephew to west yellowstone snowmobiling for the first time in march 2012 and since we had so much room we also brought my mom and dad and my mother in law. The views from the house are spectacular, all young and old 'er' agreed. The house was furnished very nicely with all that we needed. To sit in the hottub and relax by the fire after a day of riding was wonderful. Not being a man of extra means it does get alittle pricey but as i said earlier it was a fantastic trip that after a year of saving i would love to do again. Thanks Mountain Home Vacation rentals and the owners of this lovely house.

We had only 3 nights at the house and felt like we were just getting into it...and then we had to leave!
It was private, beautiful, quiet and very comfortable.
Good friends, good food and a great time.
Caught some Fish in both beaver creek and the Gallatin.
Saw some Sand Hill Cranes, some deer and a bear joined us for a breakfast of Huckleberries one morning.

Beaver Creek Lodge far exceeded our expectations. The setting offered beautiful views and peaceful, starry nights. The house itself gave each of the three couples staying there their own private space. The kitchen and great room worked well for cooking, dining, reading, and visiting. The deck, where we spent most of our time, provided sun and shade and even protection from an afternoon thunderstorm. We hope to return soon. We really appreciated being able to have our dog join us. She loved staying there too.

Booking this location was so easy. I enjoyed the detailed website, pictures, and friendly accomodating staff. The property is in a gated community and very quiet. The home we chose was very private with expansive gorgeous views. It is spacious and with all the amenities, such as comfortable inviting furniture, well stocked cookware, and very roomy. I loved the upstairs loft with all the books, fireplace, and views. I wanted to just stay curled up there but the scenery was too enticing. We went for a hike and enjoyed all the beautiful landscape and invigorating exercise. I wish we would have booked it for a longer stay. Looking forward to another Mountain Home experience!
Awesome location to enjoy Montana with friends!

The house was very comfortable. It featured open living space with an open kitchen so it's great for a large group, which we were. The rooms were clean, the beds were very comfortable. There were plenty of chairs, a nice large dining table. The deck was nice and the jacuzzi was a plus. The only negatives we found were just due to the rain the hill to reach the house was quite slippery for our tires (Honda Pilot SUV), and we had some trouble w/the Fireplace blowing too much smoke indoors as well as not being able to use the stereo. Overall it was a great house to spend our week in Big Sky in.

When I first saw the pictures of the house on line, I thought it was nice. When we drove up to the house and walked it the door it was so much better than expected. It was much bigger than in the pictures, so much more spacious. The pictures do not do this house justice. The windows all around the house give you a great view of the beautiful scenery. Almost every morning I was able to see deer right out front of the kitchen window. We drove through the little community of houses there and we able to spot a female moose and its baby. The creek at the bottom of the house is a nice touch as you can hear it from the balcony. I just wish we could have found the beaver that built that dam right by the bridge. One neighbor did mention that they spotted a grizzly the night before, but unfortunately we were never able to see it. From a safe distance of course. The only thing I would ask for was less rain in august, but that can't be controlled. It was a little distance from Yellowstone, but at least there was no traffic to contend with so that was fine. The two 5 year old children that were with us loved the house. They were so excited to be in a house that big. The beds in the 3 bedrooms were extremly comfortable. The apartment beds, not so much. The house and surroundings were more that we expected. I would stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone considering this property.

We were very impressed with everything the home had to offer. Wish we had a little more knowledge of what was furnished at the house (condiments, paper products, etc.) One thing we could have used was some more pillow cases. The home was very cozy and had everything we needed. Would rent this again as this was centrally located to many activities.
We love the area.

When we drove into Big Sky, we didn't know what to expect. As we followed the directions to the house, we began realizing exactly what we were getting. The view of the house from the road said it all. The house was amazing. The view was stunning and the lot was beautiful. We sat on the deck every night and just relished the peacefulness of Montana. My children loved walking down to the creek. I would stay there again and again.
Perfect- Everything! For family, location and setting! Loved it!!

Beaver Creek Lodge exceeded our expectations in every way! The drive up to it and then seeing "our house" was so exciting ! Then walking in and seeing how amazing the house was , was even better! Our oldest daughter is married with twin girls so the apt worked out perfect for them. The best thing was sitting out on that deck and hearing the roaring creek and seeing the sunset and the stars and the sun rising in the morning with my cup of coffee!! Wonderful!! Everything was clean and well supplied. We had a truly great experience with Mountain Home and Beaver Creek Lodge. Susie was so helpful with the pack n plays and getting us in when the airline lost my suitcase with all of my info in it.! Thanks to all for making our Montana vacation a life h ighlight!!

Beaver Creek Lodge is a lovely, comfortable home in a beautiful, secluded setting. We enjoyed exploring the surroundings, sitting on the deck and listening to the wild animals. It was fairly convenient to the West entrance to Yellowstone. We would love to stay there again if we have the opportunity. The Mountain Home staff were a pleasure to work with.

The house was in perfect shape. The whole process from booking to the check out was very easy and well thought out. The house was up on a side of a hill overlooking a valley. It had spectacular views. Every day we were visited by some type of wildlife for viewing. We had 3 bears visit us during our stay and they were far enough away for comfort. It was close to many activities. For the outdoor person it was a great location. Yellowstone is about 45min. to an hour away.

If we were inside or outside Beaver Creek Lodge has a comfortable feel and lots to view. My family had not only the oportunity to enjoy wild animals, landscapes and The Big Sky, but also meals together, relaxtation and family game nights.

We had a wonderful week at this beautiful home. Every morning we would sit outside on the deck, eat our breakfast and enjoy the views. Our kids loved the apartment and made it their play room. There are different views from every room and the great room was absolutely gorgeous. The kitchen was well stocked. It is obvious from all the little details that the owners take great pride in their home.
We were lucky enough to see the beavers two different times busily working building their dam in the creek below the home. Even with all the animals we saw in Yellowstone, the beavers were one of the highlights of our kids' vacation.

Minutes from Big Sky, this secluded deluxe home was a great base to
explore the Big Sky and Yellowstone areas. We have stayed in
Montana on numerous vacations and this home is outstanding. The
views from the deck are spectacular. The layout of the home is ideal
for large family or three couples.
There are many great hikes close by, great fishing spots going south
along the Gallatin, and great places to eat up in Big Sky. It is a bonus
to be able to take a day trip into Yellowstone.
One day we looked out the kitchen window and saw a young black
bear walking up the driveway. Great pictures!
