Welcome to Low Dog Lodge...LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION!! You will not find a better ski-in ski-out location in Big Sky. Walk out the door, strap on your skis and go ski directly to the Thunderwolf High speed Quad. Low Dog Lodge is a Log Home with four bedrooms, a loft, and three full baths. This home has a warm and rustic Montana decor. It is located at the end of a cul-de-sac with lots of privacy and great views of Beehive Basin and Spanish Peaks. It is one of the 'true' Ski In / Ski Out homes in Big Sky. You can walk to the lodge at the base of Big Sky Resort with its restauran...ts, bars, shops and ski/board rentals. You won't find a better location in Big Sky during the summer or winter. The home is very private so you won't have any problems feeling like your in the middle of the wilderness, yet close to everything..

We have just updated the home to include 3 king guest bedrooms (one with private bath), 1 queen guest bedroom, and 1 bunk room that has two sets of log bunk beds that are extra long to easily accommodate adults. There is also an open loft on the third floor that has a queen sofa bed and a large big screen TV. Let the kids watch the big screen TV in the loft using DirecTV or DVD's or they can play some of the board games we have available. There is also an additional TV and DVD player in the comfortable great room on the main level. For a little romance or warmth, load up the large Montana Mossy rock fireplace in the great room. We are happy to supply logs, because the experience just isn't the same until you get to sit by the fire and talk about the wonderful adventures of the day.

The kitchen features a JennAire range/oven, dishwasher, microwave and refrigerator. The kitchen counter tops are granite and the island bar has seating for four, so you can accommodate even more guests for dinner, or sip on a drink and supervise the cooks in the kitchen before dinner. The large dining room table seats 8 guests and can be extended to seat 10 or more.

After a hard day on the slopes, or a summer afternoon of hiking, river rafting or golf, come back and relax in your own private hot tub that seats 6-8 people comfortably. Located on the ground floor, it has a great view of the valley with no homes in sight.

NEW for the 2012 season - We've just built a brand new heated entry and ski room on the ground floor. It offers a convenient place to store all your gear and suit up every day before stepping outside. We think you'll find it a great addition to home.

In addition to skiing and snow boarding, just head outside to find for some of the best hiking and snow shoeing in Big Sky. You're also only a short drive to some of the best golf and fishing that Montana has to offer. The kids (and adults) will love the great sledding just outside and we offer a couple of sleds in the garage so you can give it a try.

We offer full 24/7 concierge services and will have your refrigerator stocked prior to your arrival upon request, or fax your grocery order directly to the Hungry Moose Market & Deli for delivery prior to your arrival. You also can access the Moonlight or Huntley Lodge Spa's for a fee where you can swim in the heated indoor/outdoor pools, exercise in the gym, enjoy the sauna or have a great massage or facial. Additional Location Information

Best location in the mountain village. Located 7/10 of a mile from the Sumitt/Huntley Lodge. You don't have to take an access chair to ski to a main chair, it takes 2 minutes to ski to thunderwolf, a high speed quad.

  I stayed here for four days with my friends and co-workers. If I have to describe my experience in one word, it would be ‘outstanding’. The property is clean and well maintain with all the possible amenities and comfort of a home. The furniture is comfortable and in great condition.
  
  If you are planning to stay in a group, you will love this place because it has five spacious bedrooms and due to the layout of the property, you will get all the needed privacy. I also loved the entertainment options they have at the property – 2 big screen TVs, DirecTV, DVD player, Apple TV etc. Moreover, if you like cooking, the property has a fully functional kitchen and large dining area.
  
  In terms of location, you cannot go wrong with this place. If you like skiing, you will love this place. You can actually go directly to one of the high-speed trails right from the door of the property. Additionally, all the restaurants, bars, and shops are 5-10 minute walking distance from the property.
  Did I mention ‘Hot Tub’? We all loved this feature. Every day after a full day of skiing/hiking, we used the hot tub, which is located outside with a beautiful valley view.

  Easy ski-in / ski-out, great amenities, family friendly, ability to accommodate large groups comfortably and well appointed details make for an ideal location and stay for a Big Sky ski trip.
  
  Low Dog Lodge has everything you'd want and expect from a ski house. The ski equipment room is great for storage and leaves clothes, hats and gloves warm and dry to start each day. Hot tub was a huge hit for adults and kids.
  
  Plenty of room and laid out to handle 8 adults and 5 kids without feeling crowded or tight.

  I recently had the pleasure to visit Big Sky and stay at the Low Dog Lodge. I can say the setting was majestic, the amenities were amazing and the convenience - out of this world! We were there a total of three days and got to experience the best of Big Sky. I was with a group of nine individuals all with different interests and each person left asking, when are we coming back? The Low Dog Lodge provided all the amenties you desire, was extremely spacious/clean and provided breathtaking views. If you ever get a chance to experience Big Sky during any season make sure you stay at Low Dog Lodge, you won't be dissapointed.

  Our family of four (kids 8 and 4) had its best vacation ever at the Low Dog Lodge. It was the perfect place to accommodate three families meeting from three different states. The place is huge (5 bedrooms), with ample room for kids and adults. The well-equipped kitchen made sure the loads of groceries we had bought enroute disappeared. It didn't hurt that we had a gourmet or two in the group to fill us with energy for skiing. Clean, well-stocked, conveniently located...this place was perfect.
  
  Those who were able to, could ski in and out of the lodge, and for the few beginners it was an easy 3 minute drive to drop them at the lift/ski school. Aside from the fantastic skiing, the long springtime days provided the perfect way to relax afterwards. From soaking in the hot tub, to relaxing with a movie, to watching the kids build sled runs...we were able to make the most of our vacation. Thanks Low Dog Lodge!
