Great value 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom + den top floor condo, ski in/out

Timber Ridge is a row of townhouse condos at the top of Big White. The living room faces south and the views are spectacular. True ski-in/out. From the front door you pass the ski lockers on the way to the ski slope, then a 2 minutes ride down to 3 major chair lifts. Ski- in is off Highway 33 and simply pick up the Moguls Track straight to the back of Timber Ridge. The Village Centre is a 15 minute walk down the road or you can catch the Big White Shuttle, which is 1 minutes walk.

Double length garage accommodates 2 cars, for extras they will need to park at Happy Valley Car park.

Covered outside steps lead up to the condo on the... top floor, enter into a tiled floor hallway with bench and large closet. To the right is the light and airy living room with kitchen to the back left, dining table and lounge. The kitchen is fully equipped with large fridge, small freezer, dishwasher, oven etc. A large island separates the dining table and kitchen. The dining table easily seats 6, with 4 extra seating at the breakfast bar. The hot tub is on the balcony with BBQ. Warm and inviting lounge with lots of armchairs and a 3 seat sofa, gas fireplace and TV.

From the hallway a passage leads to a shared bathroom with a full suite, washer dryer in a closet. A sliding door separates the bedrooms off, walk through the den which has a single over double bunk and chest of draws with TV on top. 2nd bedroom with queen bed, bedside table and lamp, chest of draws and a window looking up the ski hill. Master bedroom has queen bed with chest of draws and TV, large build in closet and private bathroom. The private bathroom has full suite with steam shower.

The condo has a lovely warm and cozy feel about it.

  Good family home away from home

  This unit is spacious and nicely appointed in a convenient ski in-ski out location above the village with a stunning view. The ski locker set-up is very handy.
  Our major complaint is that the non-stick cookware was too badly damaged to use. Management brought us a few new pieces so we could make do and made a note that the cookware needs to be replaced. They also supplied a teapot as there wasn't one!
  The third bedroom is actually in a doorless nook without a window or much air circulation which could be a problem for some.
  The master bedroom has a very spacious ensuite with a steam shower, a very nice alternative to the hot tub.
  We found the unit very comfortable but it could use more lighting.
  Overall, a nice unit, comfortable and tastefully furnished.

  Best holiday ever

  Gail and I returned to Big White this season and stayed in the same apartment for a month as we did last year (Timber Ridge 17).
  We would recommend this property to everyone who is looking for a quality apartment at Big White that has superb views and genuine ski in/ski out access.
  There was some doubt regarding the on-mountain shuttle bus service which was mooted that it would not continue this season which would have meant a considerable walk up from the village. Fortunately, sanity prevailed and the service was re-instated.
  Last year in our review we mentioned that the crockery and pots/pans needed replacement - most of the crockery had chips and there isn't enough to have matching settings for more than 4 people. The pots and pans have all lost their non stick surface. This has not been addressed yet and the same crockery and pots/pans are still there.
  We are already planning to return for a month or more next season (my health permitting) and we will definitely stay in the same apartment.

  Perfect Holiday

  We had a fantastic month staying at Timber Ridge 17 in Big White. The apartment was as described in the Rent Chalets web site and the views are outstanding.
  When we arrived, we found that there were a couple of housekeeping items not quite up to scratch but a phone call to Rent Chalets had this rectified within half an hour.
  There is only one thing that could be improved on - the crockery was mismatched and some had chips and the pots and pans need replacing as the non stick surface is worn.
  These were minor irritations and did not detract from our holiday too much.
  I think the best recommendation is that we are seriously considering staying there again for a month next season.

  The place was very clean, open and comfy. Couldn't get a nicer view of the mountains. We could ski down the hill right to our back door which was just perfect. The only thing I could say about the place that needed updating is the second bedroom mattress needed to be replaced. If two people slept on it, they would both end up in the middle due to a dip. Otherwise, awesome place!!

  Pretty nice on the whole. I was a bit disappointed by the lack of internet connection (timber ridge 17)...especially since I was told there was one. The hot-tub could've used a cleaning too. Other than that, beautiful place and great location. Thanks!
