Description from the manager

Ski out access to the ski hill is down Snow Pine Road to the ski run that leads to Snow Ghost, Ridge Rocket and Plaza Chair, this will take 5 minutes if the road is covered in snow (Snow Pine Estates have a policy not to grit the roads so that they can be used by skiers and snowboarders), if there is no snow on the road it is an easy walk down to the ski run and it will take 10 minutes. Ski in access is from Serwa’s (a green run from the top of the mountain) take the turning for Snow Pine Estates, when you meet the road cross it and come down Snow Pine Road and down to the chalet, this will take 3 minutes if snow on road, if no snow the wal...k is 10 minutes.

To get to the village center there is a very pretty lit walk way of 20 minutes or you can catch the free Big White shuttle bus, bus stop is located at the top of Snow Pine Way, 5 minute walk from the chalet.

Parking is available for 2 cars off the road. More cars and you will need to park them in the free Snow Pine over flow car park. From parking the car you walk up wooden steps to the front door with large covered deck.

Step immediately into the lower lounge room with sofa, arm chair, coffee table, gas fire place and TV on stand. By the front door is a coat stand and window over looks deck. Further into the room is the lower floor kitchen with electric stove, sink, small fridge and basic kitchen equipment. At the front is a bedroom with king bed or (2 single beds), bedside table and built in closet and window that overlooks the deck. Back of chalet is 2nd bedroom with 2 sets of single bunks, bedside table, built in closet, small window overlooking side of the building, usually covered by snow and full bathroom with bath tub, shower and stacking washer dyer.

Carpeted stairs lead up into the kitchen with white cabinet doors, vinyl tiles, and white appliances. Fully equipped with large fridge and small freezer on top, electric oven, dishwasher, microwave, and the sink with a small window overlooking the adjacent building. A large dining table and chairs are set beside large windows and the gas fire place is nearby. The lounge area has double height vaulted ceilings making the room light and airy. A large L shaped sofa is placed around the coffee table and set up in front of the TV with DVD player. Patio doors lead onto a large balcony with hot tub. Views are of Snow Pine Road and the Monashee Mountains. From behind the sofa in the lounge are stairs up to the top floor.

Left of the stairs along a passage is the 3rd bedroom with 1 queen bed and 1 single bed, side table, built in cupboard and 2 windows overlooking side of building and Snow Pine Lane. Opposite bedroom is the 2nd bathroom with bath tub with shower head, stacking washer dryer in room and small window overlooking side of building. At the end of the passage is hallway and back door where the path leads up to Snow Pine Lane. Either this entry or the front door is good for the ski access.

At top of stairs straight in front is small bathroom with shower, basin, toilet and small window. To left is 4th bedroom with 1 queen bed and 1 single bed, bedside table, built in closet and window looking down onto Snow Pine Lane. To right is the 5th bedroom with double over single bunk bed, bedside table and built in closet and window looking onto Snow Pine Lane.

  Big sky Chalet

  We travelled to Big White with another family and stayed at the Big Sky Chalet. We liked this house as it had lots of beds and bathrooms on all three stories of the house. It was very tidy and overall we enjoyed out experience. Was a bit of a trek to the mountain though so a house closer to the slopes would have been a bit better for us. There was also not enough chairs for the table for all of us to sit around and no place mats. That is the only thing that we were upset about so overall it was great :)
