We had 4 night stay in the artekale apartment there were 4 of us so we had plenty of room. Ana was very helpful and professional from the 1st contact by email answering all my questions with regard to our stay. The apartment is very well equipped, almost as comfortable as being at home and it was really nice having the large terrace where to enjoy a drink or a snack and listen to the sounds of the Casco Viejo . Plenty of shops nearby, including a small Carrefour. Ana’s help in getting a me a ticket for the athletic Club match was remarkable, given that the match was a sell-out.
I have been to Bilbao several times before but this was by far the most comfortable place I have stayed and would consider staying there again and recommending it to anyone else without hesitationResponse from Ana Urgoiti Guisasola - 05/15/2013

Ubicación inmejorable en el centro de Bilbao, junto a los bares de tapeo.
El acceso con coche es complicado a determinadas horas y los aparcamientos cercanos son de pago.
El apartamento es precioso, muy bien equipado, muy luminoso y está bien cuidado y limpio. Tiene una terraza muy grande, estupenda para aprovecharla con buen tiempo.
El trato personal es muy bueno y cercano. Todo muy bien explicado y siempre disponible ante cualquier imprevisto.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this centrally located, quiet apartment. It is very cosy, spacious and comfortable. Unfortunately the weather was not kind to us so we unfortunately did not get to use the lovely balcony. Maybe next time. Would return without hesitation.

We are a family of five and the artekale apartment has been a great choice for our staying in Bilbao. The location is in the hearth of the old town and almost all the main hotspots are at a walking distance: even the Guggenheim museum can be reached comfortably in 15-20 min. after a nice walk or alternatively by tram, the stop being at some 100 meters from the apartment. The area is packed with bars, tabernas, restaurants, shops. A big food market is at the end of artekale kalea and a supermarket a bit further on, to the left: everything at hand if you want to eat out or self-cater. The area is restricted to car traffic, but a good parking (the “Arenal”) is at walking distance.
The apartment itself has character and is very comfortable and warm: it is in an ancient refurbished building and is visibly a place which was conceived to live in and not to be let. It is laid out on two levels; the three bedrooms and two bathrooms can easily accommodate up to six persons. There is a beautiful terrace with amazing view on the cathedral, which is definitely a wonderful place to stay in during spring and summer; unfortunately, we travelled in February and the rain did not allow us to enjoy it fully.
Ana, the owner, is extremely helpful and kind. We have enjoyed a lot our stay in Bilbao and definitely would advise the apartment to those who would like to visit the town.
