      Comfortable, Relaxing Cottage.

Left on 10/24/2012 for a stay in September 2012

Beautiful remote location on a farm without the usual smells !!!

A converted old barn ---with all the amenities. Nice private outside sitting area.

Only problem was no Wifi !!! I feel it is very much needed to look up local activities, weather etc so you can plan your days out.

Peaceful, well equipped - and great for the Severn Valley Railwa

Left on 03/25/2012 for a stay in March 2012

This is a first class rental for two people. Extremely comfortable (wonderful sheets on the bed, duck down pillows) and very classy. Everything was good quality. We've stayed in many rental cottages and all too often you get the owner's 'cast offs' - not here! Clean, tastefully decorated, warm and cosy we found it was a great base to visit the Severn Valley Railway Gala.
We can't comment on the walking etc as the SVR was our reason for visiting, but the countryside looked glorious.
We will certainly visit again - for the next gala we come to.

Peaceful relaxing location away from all the hustle and bustle.

Left on 09/16/2011 for a stay in July 2011

The owners were nice and friendly and very helpful if you wanted to know anything about the surrounding areas and where to do sightseeing and places of interest to visit. The only drawback is that there was no shops nearby if you wanted to buy a newspaper or run out of milk or bread. Bridgenorth is the nearest town and it has some nice shops and tearooms.

      A quiet relaxing stay

Left on 11/05/2010 for a stay in August 2010

This was our first stay with Sykes Cottages but we will use them again. We loved the property - it is a great conversion, very well equipped and comfortable. It is small but was absolutely fine for two people. The location is very quiet and relaxing - you need a car but you are then perfectly located to explore the area - and there is plenty to see - wildlife, historic sites and towns, walks, cycle rides. We thoroughly enjoyed our week.

      Excellent cottage for couple

Left on 02/18/2010 for a stay in December 2008

The Byre, located on the owner's farm enjoys both privacy and seclusion. We stayed over for New Year during a spell of very cold weather but the accommodation was very cosy and warm. We had taken an electric fan heater as a precaution but we didn't need it. The standard of accommodation is excellent we were made very welcome by the owners. Would definitely recommend and may return one day.
