Fred Thomas Resort is located on a private peaceful wooded point of land over looking the main part of Big Lake Chetac and Thomas Bay. A true feeling of the northwoods surrounds this area with abundant forrest land. A short 5 minute drive will find you in the village of Birchwood which has a small grocery store, two convenience stores, eating establishments, gift shops, beauty shops, bank, hardware store, and lumber yard. A few more minutes and you can be golfing at Tagalong on Red Cedar Lake.

This is a very well maintained resort. We have stayed in a few of the cabins at Fred Thomas Resort and they all are neat, clean, well-furnished, and comfortable. The whole family will enjoy the fishing, and many other activities in this beautiful northern Wisconsin setting. The hosts are very kind and helpful with any of our needs. Our children literally scream with excitement every year when we arrive.
