Additional Location Information
Historic Old Bisbee was once a bustling mining town that featured the largest copper mine in North America. When the mine closed in the mid 70's the miners moved out and artists moved in from California, New York and New Mexico, making it a creative oasis in the desert.
Since then, Bisbee has gained as much recognition as nearby Tombstone, "The Town Too Tough To Die." Stop by the OK Corral, watch a gun fight and then when you're ready to unwind stop by the lovely Bisbee Getaways, share a bottle of wine and enjoy the tranquility of The Casa Antigua and and Casa de Cobre.

Telkwa B.C.Tranquil mountain view retreat

We travelled from northern Canada to enjoy Casa De Cobra and enjoyed our whole 3 week stay. The home was very well stocked and Cathy was a superb hostess. We enjoyed the deck off the bedroom for reading and sunning. The kitchen was very well stocked with impliments for cooking, and the fireplace came in handy for some chilly nights.Iot was just like walking into a well loved home and we were very happy with all the amenities. We enjoyed Bisbee and all the surrounding towns. Make sure you know all about the things to see in that part of the country as we missed some.
Well worth the effort of waiting a year to get in. If interested book as soon as you can as it fills up quickly.

Peoria, ArizonaAn amazingly tranquil retreat

My husband and I love to use Casa de Cobre for a relaxing weekend getaway. It's nestled in a quiet area just a short walk to the downtown area. The house has a very nice large balcony, that you can access from outside or from the loft bedroom, that's wonderful to use in the evening for dining while enjoying the views of bisbee. The loft room has a full bathroom with a footed tub that's great for relaxation. The house also has a fully stocked kitchen and outdoor grill. Bisbee has plenty of dining options for those who prefer to eat out. Go and enjoy !!!

Los AngelesCozy Romantic House Set In the Hills of Bisbee
Left on 07/31/2011 for a stay in October 2010
My husband and I were looking for a unique vacation to get away from our stressful lives in la. We decided to spend a few days in the artist colony of Bisbee (formerly a mining town), and came across the Bisbee Getaways. We stayed at Casa de Cobre, a two bedroom house within walking distance of the main drag, but just far enough to be quiet and isolated. The master bedroom opened out onto a deck that overlooks the whole town.
Once we parked our car at the house, we spent the next few days just walking wherever we needed to go - to the restaurants, art galleries and museums. The house was super clean, the kitchen was modern and fully stocked, and the view was the icing on the cake. Cathy was a pleasure to work with, and provided us with a number of recommendations for fun things to do.
I can't say enough about the sense of calm that I had during my stay here. Highly recommend for a romantic getaway, a place to write, meditate, shop or just to rest and unwind. We will be going back for sure. -

My passion and area of expertise has me traveling all over arizona. So when I was informed of the Bisbee Getaways, at 18 a Maxfield ave., Bisbee, AZ 85603, I jumped at the chance of staying at something possibly very special. What a very nice surprise !
I stayed at the Casa de Cobre and what a view, not to mention the quietness/tranquility & closeness to downtown. I've been Blessed to be able to travel in arizona, and I cannot remember the last time I actually slept like a "baby". Truly enjoyed the plush facilities and my whole experience at the Bisbee Getaways was far beyond what I've seen or experienced at other rental stay facilities. I strongly recommend the Bisbee Getaways to anyone who likes comfort, quietness and a great view. You cannot go wrong by staying at the Bisbee Getaways in Bisbee, Arizona 85603. Try it, I think you will agree with me. Have a good day ! -

We traveled to Bisbee with my parents and child. The house on Maxfield managed by Cathy Murphy was amazing. Cathy is a wonderful host, making sure everything was in order and to our satisfaction. The home had amazing views, was within walking distance to downtown (even with a 79 year old!!) and convenient to just about everything. The beds were very comfortable, the sheets and towels clean and fresh and there was even a great collection of DVD movies. It was a real treat that after dinner and a fire, 3 generations watched the Birds together in black and white. We couldn't have hoped for a better place to stay. We'll definitely be back!!!
