Aspen House 024 was a terrific, and very comfortable, place to s

The environment was beautiful -- right across from a peaceful little pond. And the house had everything one might need or wish for -- ranging from a good refrigerator-freezer to excellent TV, audio systems and plenty of dishes and kitchen equipment. Black Butte as a whole also has everything one could ask for, including good horseback riding, swimming, tennis, bike (and walking) paths, as well as a variety of places to eat, ranging from burger-bar type places to an informal sports pub to high quality dining. And the staff were very friendly and well informed... All in all, and very pleasant stay!

We stayed here for a wedding. It was ideal. It was even cold enough to enjoy the fireplace and that was easy to do.
An absolutely Delightful Five Days!

The house was perfect for our family of five: grandmother, daughter, son-in-law, grandson (10) and granddaughter (8), each very comfortably placed in two bedrooms and a loft. The living/dining area provided ample space to gather at all times of the day with a wonderful view of Lake aspen, the bike path, and the people, dogs, and strollers that would wander by. The children loved riding their bikes to the pool. Ours was the last house at the very end of the street with the open woods on one side. The service was excellent; the service people checked on things at least twice during our five-day stay. All in all, it was a marvelous vacation! Bbr has everything!!

Two days before our reservations we received a call from Black Butte confirming and to let us know that you could not check in before 4PM. We arrived a few minutes after four and got in line no problem, got to the counter reviewed ammenites map etc. Out place was not ready be a few minutes please sit over there I will come over as soon as it is available. Sat for 20 minutes went back up still not available, will come over in a few minutes. Finally come over and it's not going to be ready here is a voucher for food or drink give us your cell number and we will call you as soon as it is available. Went over to the golf course restaurant which was great, at 5:45PM no call I called them and explain who I was and what I was calling about person who answered didn't have a clue she asked someone and oh yeah your cabin is ready. Got back to the welcome center and was not please that no one had called didn't even apologize nothing. At that point I just wanted my keys. Have a nice day. There were four adults and the cabin seemed a little small, but the view off the deck was fabulous. A few minor things... shower knob in the downstairs bathroom fell off when trying to turn on, husband fixed it, breaker on the air conditioner trip off. It was nice needs a little updating but it was okay. Like I said started out bad but we enjoyed.
Cozy and Relaxing

Great place to stay ~ what a wonderful view of the pond, which ended up being perfect as my niece (2 yrs old) had a ball exploring. The weather also ended up being rainy and even snowy a part of the time so we could all relax and enjoy the outdoors from the wonderful large windows in the great room. We all had a great time, the kitchen is small but you can fit two people comfortably and the beds were nice and cozy. We'd be happy to stay here again. Our family is growing so we most likely will pick a bigger place next time but that is the only reason.

First Stay at Black Butte Ranch
Hosting children and grandchildren
Left on 06/05/2011 for a stay in May 2011 | First Stay at Black Butte Ranch
Our first stay at Black Butte Ranch was a comfortable, beautiful experience in view of aspen Lake with daily walks with the small grandchildren to see the ducks, do some swimming and bicycling, and eat at Robert's Pub(in spite of the unseasonably damp and cold weather!).
Black Butte Ranch is nice, this rental is not.

24 Aspen House
nice area, cost way too much
Left on 09/17/2009 for a stay in August 2009 | janie
I think the area is beautiful but was too expensive and I didn't care for the
sneaky representation of giving you 100.00 credit to spend yet you are really
charged for it. That is not free credit. That is charging me for what I used and
then charging me back any portion of the 100.00 I didn't use.
Misrepresentation. I will visit area again but not the ranch.
Love Black Butte and this house

We spent 4 days at Black Butte this summer and stayed at Aspen Home 024. It was my husband and my three year old son and we had a great time. The house was the perfect size for us and the location was perfect. Right in the back yard was Aspen Lake where we'd go and feed the ducks every morning and evening and you are right on the bike trail and close to everything. We'll definitely be looking to stay there again!

Black Butte is a long way to come for something we are not that "into". Would
never had if not for a family reunion. We do not like big resort complexs. Our
main complaint was that you had to drive everywhere because the ranch is so
gigantic. With small children being away from everything made it even harder
and then there were so many people at the pool when we got there-no place
to sit -we just went left and went to sisters.
The house itself worked out ,but there are no tables in the living room for
drinks and the whole atmosphere is slightly depressing because of the 70's
feel of the structure and decor. It could use a good update!
