This end-unit condo is close to the Lodge and guest pool. The deck has a southern exposure with view of the Three Sisters, Big Meadow and Phalarope Lake. The entry, kitchen and baths have heated slate floors on the main level. The carpeting throughout is low nap, comfortable and all decor is Oregon cabin and country. The kitchen has stainless steel appliances and tiled counters and back splash. There is a breakfast bar with stools and a dining table for 4. The living room has a slate fireplace, cabin & outdoor decor with leather and mission-style furnishings. A window seat completes the atrium off the living room for enjoying the scenery even... in the worst of weather. A flat screen TV/DVD and free wi fi provide more creature comforts. Upgraded task and ambient lighting is throughout the condo. Downstairs: A one Queen bedroom with coordinated and upscale decor and furnishings. There is a full bath with "elk" tile and great lighting. Upstairs: the Master bedroom features a King log bed, atrium-style windows and great views of the mountain and lake. Casual seating in the atrium makes a great reading spot. There is a new flatscreen TV, full bath (where tiled bears set the theme on the back splash) and separate lavatory. Great lighting and an organized closet area round off the Master Suite. A stacked washer and dryer are in the bathroom area. Find Black Butte Ranch vacation rentals on FlipKey

The view is terrific: across the meadow and mountains in the background. The location is interesting: near the lodge and the lodge pool and therefore in a high traffic area but altogether convenient if those areas are important.
The home itself is a bit unusual - nice sitting areas both upstairs (with the master bedroom) and downstairs (off of the living area) - a fine deck and a well equipped kitchen, but throughout the unit, there is a feeling of being cramped, the narrowness of the home gets to you. For example, the master bath is shoehorned into a hallway with the washer/dryer and the living room just feels small. More than two people (and it is a two bedroom unit) might feel on top of one another.
In sum, if it weren't so very expensive, it would be very acceptable, but the price implies a more spacious unit such as Country Home 045, next door - a much better value.

We stay in this condo for one week every august. It is by far our favorite, so close to everything and very tastefully decorated with lovely views of the Three Sisters.

We loved the view and most of the amenities, the aC doesn't work well, a blind was broken, and the dryer takes hours to dry a small load. The master bedroom bathroom is teeny. Read more
Thank you for your review on the home and informing us of the broken blind, we are working on getting that fixed. Air-conditioning is not an amenity that is available in Country House 044 as noted on our website.

We had a wonderful mid-winter break at Black Butte Ranch. Ch-44 had the most stunning view, was close to the park for the kids, and was very nice and quiet. The Condo was well decorated and came equiped with board games and logs for the fire. We can't wait to return!

Beautiful Black Butte

The condo afforded beautiful views to the west that included the lake, the meadow, trees, and the mountains beyond. Gorgeous to wake up to each day with the geese on the lawn and horses in the pasture across the lake. Check-in service was easy and efficient. The restaurant was within easy walking distance. The marketing manager for Black Butte with whom we had the pleasure to work, Kendal Daiger, is the most personable, efficient, resort manager ever. The condo itself is a bit tight for four people, but the outdoor deck is terrific and adds quality space. Inside the unit, the drawback was the poor quality of the bedding... small queen beds with creaky springs. The beds made a good night's sleep a bit tricky. Read more
We are happy to hear that you had a good stay at the Ranch and I agree 100% that you cannot beat the views from our Country House Condos. I am happy to inform you that the homeowners have replaced the beds since you last stayed in the unit with one king and another queen. We would love to have you back at the Ranch to enjoy the recent upgrades.

We loved everything about the ranch and can't wait to return next summer. The view from Country House 44 is wonderful. How nice to have breakfast each morning and drinks each evening enjoying that view. The house is beautifully and comfortably furnished, with everything you need to feel at home

We have stayed @CH 44 twice before, and keep coming back. The home was in good shape, and clean. I think what we enjoy most is the view of the Sisters Mt.s. Floor to ceiling windows upstairs in the bedroom would take the breath away from the most jaded traveler. We enjoy the wildlife show going on out by the lake from dusk to dawn. Read more

The view was spectacular. The unit provided an updated feeling with comfortable surroundings. It was a great place to get away from everything else the area provided.

The condo was very comfortable. My only complaint was with the noise at night from the playground, both children and adults. At 10:30 PM it was still very noisy, and I finally took a sleeping pill. The third day of our stay I reported the noise to the desk, and that night it was quiet as I requested the police to patrol the area.

We had a great time. The unit was a bit small but very well equiped. Did not care for the plastic mattress cover. The view and location was great! Read more
Thank you for staying with us, and for sharing the feedback. While we
aren't able to change the size of the condo we sure can address sub
par mattress covers. Country House 044 has two new beds and mattress pads. Hope to have you back to the ranch sometime soon.

We were not allowed early check-in, even thou we had requested it as we were to babysit our Granddaughter during the rehearsal dinner. So we checked in @ 4pm and left @ 10am the day after the wedding. To be charged $100 for cleanup was off the charts, especially since the room rate was substantial. DW Gant MD

This is a very modern, comfortable house, we shared with friends The location was perfect for exploring Black Butte amenities, while our husbands played in a golf tournament. The kitchen was well stocked and as we had dinner for 10 there one night it needed to be! Would definitely rent this again. I should also mention that the Black Butte staff were excellent.
